@@jonnylpenman I don't think that's true. He plays them without processing in the video you linked. Of course, there will be some compression and reverb, but that's the case with any amplified performance.
I met this guy 40 years ago in France: what a pleasure to see him again thanks to internet. He tauhgt us at the time a bunch of Bulgarian an Macedonian tunes which he collected himself over there. I still am amazed by his creativity! Thank you Linsey
I am an elementary music teacher in Pennsylvania. My students absolutely LOVE your instruments. I can't wait for your DVD to come out. Thank you so much for sharing!
He has a book on how to make it and his other instruments he sells it for idk how much but if you look around online for a while I’ve found it for free
This is just awesome. I first saw this video 13 years ago. Now its 2023 and I am still amazed by this guys creativity, passion and feel for the groove!
Mr. Pollack I have seen your videos quite a few times I love your style of music. I'm trying to find stuff similar can you give me an idea of who to look for and or a genere. thanks!
That's not a 'fart sound', that is just Linsey Pollak doing his thing. You may be confusing it because sometimes an anal sphincter produces similar sounds, but generally we refer to that as anally pollaking
hi mr. pollak! i'm a music teacher from argentina and i want to ask you abaut the microfon you use... what kind is it? how is it called? i can't find it on the web (here in argentina) thanks!
i didn't even think it would sound dope as heck... this man is absolutely incredible, and actually would be a great hip hop producer. all from a humble old man from australia.
the sound of that feather duster blew my mind
er der Omg right? That sounded almost as good as a real jazz clarinet haha
er der 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I thought you was joking
er der, both instruments were processed sounds, sorry if I ruined your day. ua-cam.com/video/XNO97-mPP8U/v-deo.html

I feel like this tune should be the opening song for a goofy cartoon of some sort... :) I dig it!!
Look up "Jean-Luc and Dondoozat" and "Ozzy and the Cockroaches". This reminds me of those shows.
or regular show
Yeah, like a 1930s or so cartoon

alto sax for Mr Curly and sopranino sax for the feather duster
I'm assuming mouthpieces and reeds.
What did you use to mic them?
@@beaglemanzzz seems like shure mouthpiece pickups
Although in reality it creates a scary Tubax didgeridoo and a half way between alto/soprano saxophone.
it's been two years, Mr. Curly is still my most favorite instrument to listen to.
hey mr.Pollak, you should give a TED talk :D
