It's a huge advantage which should not be a part of deciding which team is best. Everyone plays the whole year in warm weather and it would be cool to see a warm day on a neutral field. Sure it's cold up north but they don't play in the snow every week. It's a fall game. Play the games at the North Pole and ruin the experience but make it fair on a neutral field.

These guys miss the point of the 12 team playoff. The point is to determine the champ on the field instead of a biased committee in a boardroom. If Bama loses to two terrible teams, they lost the playoff before it started. Schedules are determined years before, so it's partially outside the teams control. If a team wins, they should get in and given a chance to prove themselves on the field. Don't leave it up to a bunch of ADs in a boardroom.
