    Herb Howard gets the reporter balls award of the year for asking Flus about his own termination, yesterday. 💪💪💪
    Not only did that take courage yesterday, but it opened up the question flood gates today at the presser with Flus. No more kid gloves at Halas Hall from reporters. I'm proud of you, Herb. Thank you!

    AB likes to say it’s not all on coaching and players have to execute…except when it comes to the QB. Then it’s all coaching or other players that need to execute. Being a rookie doesn’t mean you get a pass to shit the bed, rookie or not you still get paid to perform. I know Caleb is still learning, I know he will improve, but coddling him like this doesn’t help him get better at all. Ball placement needs to be better on his end, getting the ball out faster needs to be better on his end, recognizing things pre and post snap has to be better on his end. Not saying he’s a bust by any means, and I know the O-line, WRs, and OC aren’t really helping him out right now, but he’s not playing up to his potential or up to his standards right now and that needs to change

    Lovie Smith was missing a consistent Offensive coordinator and maybe a different QB that superbowl 😆
    Team is missing offensive structure since the draft. Nobody is synced up at all.
    Ignoring the top offensive line needs every year
    by throwing the ball faster...try run the ball with bulldozers first.

Also, all we heard off season was that his former teammates loved him and came out massively for his pro day. Lots of things are different since Justin left. Let's not pretend it was just a QB swap. New OC and new assistant OC and other new players and potentially old players frustrated with another year of issues.

    Can’t blame Waldron if CW audibles out the play all the time. QB play is abysmal. Sit him so he learn and get stronger. 2-4 audibles per half he’s not experienced enough to check out of plays. Waldron could be a scapegoat but when the QB is missing wide open players they don’t want to give effort.

    • @AlphanumericCharacters
      @AlphanumericCharacters День тому

      Give an example where he audibled improperly. Do you even know what an audible is for? Maybe when you have dudes coming unblocked ten times a game you have to audible a lot? Nine sacks. Nine. And nobody is getting open. Typical uneducated fanbase blaming the qb for a dumpster fire of a team. Yes there are lots of injuries on the o line BUT the problem isn’t dudes that are low on the depth chart just getting manhandled. That’s excusable for some dude you just signed off the practice squad. What isn’t excusable is that guy not understanding basic pass protection schemes.

      @ I played D1 football buddy. It’s clear that he audibles out of plays. He missed wide open Wr facts. The Wr are frustrated with him facts. Yes there is bad o line play facts get out your emotions and see what everyone else sees that he is playing bad facts

    • @AlphanumericCharacters
      @AlphanumericCharacters День тому

      @@godsongodson8930 punter? And if you really played D1 you know that half the team doesn’t understand scheme at all so that’s not really a flex. I didn’t say he doesn’t audible. I said there is a reason qbs audible. Getting sacked 9 times is maybe a clue to why he audibles?
      What is an actual audible though? Is Caleb calling random plays at the line from his own playbook? Is that how it works?
      I’m not in my feels at all. It’s absolutely absurd to assume that anyone could have any success behind that line. Let alone any rookie. I have NEVER seen so many dudes come unblocked like this. The blood is in the water. Every opponent is watching tape and getting hyped. They can’t wait to play them.
      You know what. I just looked at your first sentence again of the original post. If you really played D1 then you were certainly a punter. That single sentence shows a complete lack of understanding of how an offense works. Of what a qb does when they get to the line. Of what the OC teaches him to do.

    • @godsongodson8930
      @godsongodson8930 23 години тому

But I get it you’re hurt by the way the Bears are playing and so am I but the excuses for bad QB play I’m not going to over look.

    • @AlphanumericCharacters
      @AlphanumericCharacters 19 годин тому

      @@godsongodson8930 bro, I’ve been a Bears fan since ‘85 when I was a little kid. I really started truly watching in ‘91. The Bears have been a dumpster fire for 95% of that time. I’m the curse of the organization. Proud stories franchise prior to me really watching a lot and dumpster fire after. Truly though, I stopped hoping for this team a long time ago. I was on the “keep Fields” team. I never saw what the big hype was about Williams. There is no emotional attachment here. CW has actually won me over this season. Dude is tough. Everybody hated on Cutler too. Cutler was out there being a warrior getting killed taking seven step drops and getting tee’d off on thanks to Martz not realizing Orlando Pace wasn’t on the blind side. Dude took beating after beating and kept getting up. CW doing the same thing.
      Now answer this. What rookie qb doesn’t “hold the ball too long”? Purdy is the only one I can think of and ironically they hate on him as a game manager for it.
      If you were a damn good wideout at a D1 school you know that if your qb can’t find a rhythm and get some wins it goes downhill. Kind of showing why Fields had the mild success that he did. They let the man create more. You got a busted ass offense with shit scheme, a shit line, and receivers that can’t beat man coverage because the defense is sitting on the routes then at least let CW do what he can and play some backyard hero ball.
      At least give the dude some time to breathe, to develop. When he has been able to find some rhythm he has made ELITE throws. Tell me I’m wrong. Tell me the man doesn’t have fantastic mechanics. They break down sometimes but he puts on a clinic most plays. Coupled with the accuracy he has when he has time to throw? Then throw in his ability to create when shit breaks down? Dude is going to be elite if we don’t kill him first.
      I never played D1 and I never played qb. I didn’t even play much football. I was as baseball player. However, my kid might be playing qb on Sundays. Bold statement I know but dude is a beast and why not? I haven’t seen anyone his age that’s better and we have seen some talent. Point is, he has a whole lot to learn to play the position. I’ve taken deep dives into this. We work on footwork alot. Work on understanding route concepts and reading defense. I’m no guru but I’ve learned most wideouts know their job and only their job. When they hear the play they know what they are supposed to do. They don’t know what those dudes on the o line are doing, what the blocking assignment for the running backs are, nothing. Why should you? If you were a damn good wideout then you been yelling at DJ a lot too. That dude got lazy as hell after he got paid. Half ass route running and lazy ass blocking. Which is why his jaunt to the bench got so much attention. People been seeing that shit but nothing they could blow up for everyone to focus on until that.
      For the fifth time. Why does a qb audible? You won’t answer because you don’t know or you know it blows your original statement out of the water

    I hate that every football discussion goes back to dumb QB logic, even after going through acknowledging that there are major problems everywhere else.
    It is the most teamwork reliant game where every player on the field has an active role every play, and the sport with the most in-game coaching influence since every snap is essentially a mini after time-out play

  • @james_robnett

    I don't think it's coincidence that in the middle of his bad play Caleb has zero turnovers. I strongly suspect Flus and Waldron have hammered into him "don't lose the game for us, don't turn the ball over" so he's gotten timid. He's holding the ball and throwing the ball into space instead of to the receivers. In my opinion it's just more mis-coaching.

    My prediction. I doubt Waldron gets fired (maybe), it’s his O staff. I think they may hand play calling to Thomas Brown. I don’t think Eberflus will get fired with a rookie QB, tape of a 3 game winning streak, a relatively good defense for 2 seasons (maybe he hands off play calling to Eric Washington to focus on game management) and I bet he gets at least two full seasons with CW18.

The game with the Packers is gonna be a shootout, why don’t we add, someone who has experience putting many points on the board. use that strategy to add fuel and competitive between the quarterbacks to build and work from each other. @byronscherer5098 Justin looked the exact same in Chicago as he looked at Ohio State. And even if his mechanics improved, which i don't think they did, he's still not good enough to start in this league. And Getsy lasted longer in LA than Justin in Pittsburgh

    Funny u try compare i bad 4th year qb compared to a rookie with 8 games. Compre williams first 8 games to feilds. I can garantee cw is better. Common sense

      No, it was not. Even if so, it underscores the Bears inability to develop a QB. Results don’t lie. Please stop

    Make a change NOW. Hire Tim Jenkins @AllThingsQB as the OC, easy concepts that work. Maybe #18 does stop making his princess step, he needs to be coached already.

    Caleb is a rookie getting absolutely destroyed. Destroyed on the field nine sacks this week. 6X last week could have been more each week. Okay, let's keep it real. There are hardly any any NFL freshman QBs who are highly successful and definitely not very successful when you have the most atrocious line in the history of the NFL, so let's keep it real

    Agree in the stands. I’ve watched Caleb’s all 22 and he’s been lost. I’m a Packer fan and I’m sincerely sorry.
