Thanks Mark! What an example you set for the those that "don't get it"! Taking the time to revive (whether it lived or not) that Redfish was a class move! Caring for our resources not only benefits us NOW but for generations to come! Also, the times when you take time out of your fishing to pick up trash that OTHERS have left behind is appreciated and a classy move! It still insults my intelligence to know that there are those that think that dropping THEIR trash for others to clean up is acceptable! THIS is why I subscribe to your channel!!
Great video, Mark, saving that bull red made my day, and that speaks volumes about who you are as a professional angler. I was sorry you didn't catch anything from the kayak, but you certainly caught a nice bull red and a nice black drum that night! Anxiously awaiting your next video, take care and be safe!
You did your good deed of the day - saving that bull red was awesome- you worked it like a first responder- and you went and picked up people’s trash - I find myself doing the same - it kills me to see trash all over the dike when there are trash cans throughout the entire dike - we have to keep it in order for the next generation- tight lines- PuraSal Angler 🙌🏻
Thanks for doing you dude. One of your best videos, I wish everyone held the same respect for our wildlife. I’m always bringing a bag of trash home from the dike or bayou vista bridge.
That bull red could be one of those charter jetty special casualties, but on a separate note I caught a tagged bull way back in the bay last year, zip-tie, tag and all still around its tail.
Back in the 90s, I worked at LD Systems here in Houston, a production company who also sells pro audio & lighting gear. Someone had purchased a PAR64 lamp like you have there and for a while, the word spread - we got so many people calling or coming by asking “D’yall got them fishin’ lights?” Not sure how many people we set up with 1000W PARS! Tight lines. 👍🏼
Hi Mark. Love watching your Videos. So sad to see the Red Drum like that, saving the Red was great. What microphone (for gopro) do you use? Have a wonderful Day.
I hate to see that. Saw it so much in my time. Chewed out many a moron while surf fishing for mistreating red bulls. I mentioned in my last comment about a record catch of bull reds with my brother. I failed to mention we released all 17 fish! Honor the resource and the resource will stay healthy!!
Good on you for saving that red. I was laughing thinking it would be ironic to then see a dolphin hit it after you revived it. It's what happened to 2 trout Iet go at the dike today.
We live in a society that both is ignorant to how to do most things, and, don’t care as long as they have fun. Glad you was there and showed this. Thanks
I’ve seen this happen to big reds before in as little as 5ft of water, most likely it got disoriented when in released and went belly up. You really shouldn’t have to vent any fish under 30-40ft especially if fishing from shore
I was at the jetty last year and some dumb ass in a boat down from me caught 4 bull reds in a row and ever one came floating by me. Each time I had to go get it and relieve it and release it. I had enough and drove by him and told him I see one more fish released that way I was reporting him to the game warden. Took his boat tag information. He ended up leaving
Starting out fishing I remember I took some bull reds home but after just a few I noticed it was a very bad idea to try to take em back to Houston the meat wasn’t what I thought it would be and I felt very bad for taking such a big fish out I also hate litter bugs I mean imagine seeing a buncha Coronas n modelos and trash you kinda know it was your people makes me wanna put very explicit signs in Spanish up at no cost 💲
Poking a swim bladder doesn't fix the fishes problem as now it won't be able to ascend and will also die of infection. Besides, circle of life, something will eat it. Accusing a bank fisherman is just lame and poor taste since you don't know the facts. Boaters throw back loads of fish, just not you. Lol😊

It's good to see that people like you still exist. Thank you, for caring about our resources and our States cleanliness.
That you so my HERO. take care and have a blessed week my brother. 🫡
Thank you
I’m glad you mentioned airing them out , a lot of tourists going to the dike and jettys

It would’ve been nice to bring one in from the kayak. Oh well 😂. Thank you for always watching!!!!
Awesome job taking care of that red! Wish there were more people out on the water like you!

Thanks for doing you dude. One of your best videos, I wish everyone held the same respect for our wildlife.

Thanks for helping out!

Great save on the bull red‼️

Nice work. I rarely see proper handling/releases at the jetty's. One of the many reasons I quit going.
Understandable

Hi Marvin 👍
Is it necessary to relieve the bladder everytime you catch a bull red ?? Or only when it needs it
Way to take your time to revive that red much respect 🙏🏽🤙🏽
Thanks Jack! Hope things are going good your way.
From your thumbnail, looks like you're talking down on those 2 guys with the fish... if i was them I would be mad lol

It’s annoying to see so much trash when there’s trash cans every 1/4-1/2 mile. No home training n it’s grown ass people sad. Good stuff as always sir!
Agreed
Good job
Thanks

I’ve seen it too but those guys usually come to and make their way back down to the depths. Happens in the marsh all the time.
It’s flounder season stop playing with that trash. 😂 👍👍
😂🤙
Naaaw bro, after the first wave would have hit my deck I would have put it in reverse like Terry. ♿😩
😂 next trip, you got this!
