What an amazing performance by two incredibly talented actors. But I've come to expect no less from either of them. Also, as a fellow cancer survivor, it is heartwarming to see both of them thriving. Bravo!
I love it that Tom knew just what to say and do. He's not so dumb after all. Great episode because Erica's shell cracked and she is on her way to (hopefully) redeeming herself as a human being, through him. Her self-realizations about her parents and her relationships just hit bottom. Her life can only get better from here. Great writing and acting.
Amen to that! I have liked her from the beginning and all her crusty, hard shell just makes her more human and relatable to me. She and Michael are both adorable and have real chemistry! Wish it wasn't going to be over today. They are like old friends now.... gonna miss them :(
Michael has the beard for his "new look" on Dexter! Funny seeing him this way but helps me cope with Dexters ending. :) Thanks WIGS for having him on the show!!
The song towards the end of the scene, as Erica's walls came down, is by Patty Griffin and is called "You Are Not Alone". You can see her sing it up here on UA-cam. "She sees him laying in the bed alone tonight The only thing a touching him is a crack of light Pieces of her hair are wrapped around and 'round his fingers And he reaches for her side, for any sign of her that lingers And she says you are not alone Laying in the light Put out the fire in your head And lay with me tonight"
Best episode. I'm JUST now watching these. I swear this is the sweetest storyline. And I can stare at that perma-pout of Maura's forever. Best intimate love scene I've seen in quite a while.
I hope this has a happy ending for Tom and Erica as well as Erica makes amends with her parents. Wonderful job with the acting as well. WIGS couldn't have chosen any better actors to drive the meaning home for a lot of the viewers!
he may not be the smartest guy, or the most well kept guy, and he may even look like an ex drug addicts but you tell me what woman doesn't dream of having a man point out a compliment they can't see and say they want to "take care" of you. so romantic
I LOVE this series.. absolutely amazing. So very real. From dealing with aging parents to emotional barricades, to jackass men who don't give a shit. Impressively acted.
Yeah, I know what you mean. I wasn't buying the "I don't need to be no place". But he was right when he said, "I'm ok being with someone smarter than me". She corrected him and said "than I" but she's wrong. Saying "than I" sounds so pretentious. Nobody says that. Oh, and yeah, he nailed that scene!
Wigs has created some incredibly moving work. I get sucked in too. I do have definite feelings about the characters of course. A film teacher in college said the best films make you forget. But when it goes beyond that I have to remember to step back and it just seemed like I am being told I missed something when I think I didn't. Again great works like this get people involved. I saw lots of folks comment how great it was but I would not reply directly and challenge them. What would that serve?
The ending of this might be the best love scene ever. i just keep re-watching it. It really gets me how he just saw right through her facade.
The writing and direction is exquisite. And Maura Tierney and Michael C. Hall - just sublime!
I teared up a bit at the end. AMAZING script
Michael C Hall is perfect! So talented. Great story WIGS.
I had to watch it again. Even better the second time. The small nuances that go in to a good performance are just amazing.
What an amazing performance by two incredibly talented actors. But I've come to expect no less from either of them. Also, as a fellow cancer survivor, it is heartwarming to see both of them thriving. Bravo!
I loved it! Especially how he may not be the most successful real estate agent, or the smartest but he really does care! Awwww, I love love loved it!
I don't want Ruth & Erica to end! This has been my favourite WIGS series so far!!
Best chapter ever. They're both terrific in this scene. A pleasure to watch :)
Oh please make a Tom and Erica spin-off! Loved this!
I can't explain how much I love this episode.
I watched this TWICE. I never watch anything more than one time. This is really good. I wish they'd make it into a long series.
Season 2 please. More Tom and Erica.
That may have been the sweetest thing I've ever watched. :')
My God...beautiful scene: sweet, great acting and Micheal is GORGEOUS. It would be nice to see him also in romantic films
Michael C Hall is SUCH an amazing actor!

I can't begin to describe how much I love this story, and especially this episode. I'm at such a loss for words right now. Keep the shows coming.
Shit, that was awesomely done. Just inspiring writing and acting.
I've yet to see a more beautiful scene than Michael C. Hall shirtless in a bed being all adorable. Be still my beating heart.
I'm loving the series.
aww bar none, this one was the best episode, especially when she wiped the tear from her eye, making her seem more human than she wants to admit to.
I love how she is very honest about who she is. I respect this character a lot, and the actress too!!
oh my goodness. other than obvious reasons why this was my favorite, it was so perfect! maura & michael are so fantastic! :D

Amen to that! I have liked her from the beginning and all her crusty, hard shell just makes her more human and relatable to me. She and Michael are both adorable and have real chemistry! Wish it wasn't going to be over today. They are like old friends now.... gonna miss them :(
Those two have some real chemistry!
That was awesome! It got me at the end, the music was perfect.
Michael has the beard for his "new look" on Dexter! Funny seeing him this way but helps me cope with Dexters ending. :) Thanks WIGS for having him on the show!!
Michael C. Hall Can is such a great actor.
That song slays me!

Great acting!
this was so, well written the struggle of what is selfish or what is expected.
I was unsure about him at first, but this episode completely sold him for me! :D Both of them were amazing!

I can't help but imagine that this would be the "untold" other side of Dexter :) from the TV show
I loved this, again, like always. We got to watch Erica's wall come down for someone...hopefully that does not change by the last episode
this is very good, can't stop watching it
THIS IS DEXTER!!!
awe this was a great one!!!
he may not be the smartest guy, or the most well kept guy, and he may even look like an ex drug addicts but you tell me what woman doesn't dream of having a man point out a compliment they can't see and say they want to "take care" of you. so romantic

very very good episode.
omg...totally crushing on Tom : ]
Damn these are good.
Shout-out to Maura Tierney! She was astonishing in this scene!
loved it. cant wait to see how it wraps up in the next episode.
Awwwwwwwwwwwwww! so sweet!
Very sweet. I loved MCH in Dexter and I love him now.
Michael C. Hall is too well-spoken to be convincing with his poor grammar, but it didn't matter 'cause he nailed the scene.
I have no idea why, but Erica never came off as a bitch to me.
And Michael C. Hall is ADORABLE.
Loved it!
What a man.
Awesome!!!
yay! I love them together!
Thank you for fixing the mobile viewing issue! :)
i'm not sure how this is going to end, but i liked this one.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I wasn't buying the "I don't need to be no place". But he was right when he said, "I'm ok being with someone smarter than me". Thank you for humanizing(?) her.
Maura would be fantastic on Dexter. I love her!

MCH might be the best lover on the whole planet.
