Hi Joel! Love your videos! A couple of mistakes in this one though:
1)the stacking limit for armies is 5 not 4,
    2)on 13:57 that's Gandalf's (or any other character's) movement, not combat
streghth, it has nothing to do with combat.
Thanks for your videos, keep'em coming!

Crap. Sorry for that. I was going from memory. I will annotate when I get back from vacation. I did play it right though!

This is a game I really want to get, but I need another 2 player game like a 3rd nipple. (Still totally getting it.) Cool review. :)

Getting the game, not the nipple.

Drive Thru Review Far be it from me to leave anyone in doubt, especially when nipples are involved!

Can you link the outcome of this game the same way that you link The Hunt for the Ring with The War of the Ring?

    • @DriveThruReview

Not officially. There may be a fan made variant that does.

@rockandmetaljunkie fate of erebor expansion for WoTR gives you cards to play as if the shadow side won the battle of five armies.

I am going to be straight and honest..... I like your reviews. Your taste is eclectic and style is enthusiastic but you need to have a better economy of words. You tend to ramble and use the words "cool" and "actually" way too often. Most importantly, you too often don't tell me how to win the game in the beginning for the video. You jump right in and I have no idea where you are headed for the first third of the video. I know that sounds critical and maybe a bit harsh, but I say this because I think you are doing a great job and have the potential to be much better.

I appreciate that Jon. No worries. To be perfectly honest this one was a bit rushed as I'm on vacation. I know I can ramble here and there in general though. It's mostly due to how much I'm pressed for time. I did go through a phase earlier this year with much more produced and scripted videos. I will get back to that by the end of the year.

jon jacob : I disagree. First, newspapers are written to an eighth grade vocabulary. Of he starts straying from words like “woven” etc. he will just lose people with smaller vocabularies. Plus, not every review by anyone is going to be perfect.
As a former professor, his vocabulary is perfectly fine for the intended audience. “Distillation” for Pete’s sake.
Second, you need to figure out how to win the game. This is not a cheat sheet or strategy guide, but a review.. Exploration of how to win is the fun. Doing a review and tell people how to win would be a spoiler and a huge disappointment to many of his regular followers. BGG has forums for strategies etc. that you can rifle through.
      Good night and good luck.
