Unfortunately, in Russia we don't study US culture, laws, etc. So we didn't know about culture appropriation. But thanks to you, we have studied this problem. In the future, we will be more careful not to hurt the feelings of others.
Braids are very historically black culture. They did it to preserve their natural hair, its tied to their identity. So i hope you're genuine when you say you studied the problem. I hope you learn about other people of colour and their history too... not just koreans.
Sorry for commenting on this but my bestfriend who I sent a screenshot of this asked me to forward a message. It is completely fine to have braids. My bestfriend is a beautiful black female and she always braids my hair like that. She said if no one has the intention of mocking their culture then it is not a problem, because it is only a hairstyle. People of their culture have difficult hair and can only do limited styles due to their curly and fragile nature. It is only a hairstyle and it is not that deep. People want to make it sound much more inappropriate than it actually is. I might get some hate from people who think they know better and maybe some of the people in her culture who does feel like it is a problem to them, but I had to say something because she asked me to help educate those who struggle to see that it is fine. (All things aside, this is an amazing cover. Keep up the good work!♡)
@@kylieb8332 As a black woman myself, I completely agree with your friend, but ofc the two of us can't speak for everyone. Yes, braids are apart of black culture and history but what most are ignorant (don't know of or any better) is that braids are not specific only to black culture. There are many cultures the have and use braids. People like to run to the "appropriation" card instead of checking to see if it is "appreciation" first. We are not the entire world and the entire world does not know everything about us (as in Black people and Americans). And the main people to run to appropriation are usually the ones who watch anime, kdramas, etc. When you (as in those of topic) cosplay and such or sing songs from another culture are you appropriating or are you appreciating? Maybe ask which one is going on before attacking and really determine, maybe they didn't know or maybe they are actually just enjoying themselves in being apart of something they like. Sorry for the rant lol but as a person who tries to learn about other cultures and enjoy them, it annoys me to see everyone get attacked for everything lol
Braid is freely styled by my multiracial friends in my country Malaysia…we do not see any prob doing braid here.

People just need to relax and stop being oversensitive sometimes.
If you are cutting someone of from your culture because they are not originally from it, your are basically saying black people do one thing do one thing and white people do one thing, no cross over in cultures allowed. A step to end discrimination is being able to share your culture with others 😅
Cultures are supposed to be shared. I am from the middle east and I am going to say something a lot of people dont want to hear. Culturaly appropriating people only happens in america 😂. I went to Nigeria with braids in and guess what?
The people were overjoyed and actually happy that I was willing to engage in their culture and style. Cultural appropriating people is stupid, especially over a hair style that aparently only one race can wear.
Please learn to share your culture with others.
