I inherited a pair of Dan Post black cherry ostrich leg boots when my father in law passed away. They are a beautiful pair of boots that are 26 years old. I had them re-soled and they look like new again. Awesome boots.
JC...the boot shafts fit under your jeans really great....they must have a narrow shaft and would fit under almost any western jeans. I would definitely wear those boots.

Would not mind a pair in the cherry black for myself esp since my tan lizard boots have started to crack in a few places. They go so well with those boots. the leg width of the jeans look like they were made for the shaft of that boot. Did you also have the low instep sizing option that they offer? If not, do you think the low instep option with the 11D would have fit you better? Thanks.
What are your thoughts on the shaft width on the mens boots? They look wide with those jeans you are wearing in the video. How do they compare to for example Ariat Heritage R Toe?
They were a nicely average. Not too narrow to keep folks with larger calf's out but not too wide to show through jeans for thinner leg folks. These are more narrow than the Ariat Heritage R Toe. I would consider those Ariats to have pretty wide tops
Out of all the ostrich leather types, ostrich leg is my favorite leather. I have a black pair and the leather feels soft compared to my cowhides, bison and Cape buffalo.

Why would a D width bother your toes if you’re a true B width? The D would give you more room in the toe section so there shouldn’t be no rubbing on the sides.
In order for a D width boot to fit a narrow foot, it's necessary to size down or else the boot would be too big. This makes the boot shorter hence the rubbing on the sides.
@@JeremiahCraig length and width are two different things. If your boot is shorter it’s not because it’s a D width, it’s because you aren’t getting the right size shoe. Believe it or not most of the world do not even know they have a narrow foot and still wear a D width because it is the most common width. If you are a B or a C and you’re wearing a D all that’s going to do is give your toes room to move which in theory would allow your foot to move more naturally when you stroke the ground. If your toes are touching in the front, go up a half size, if they’re touching on the side, then you’re definitely NOT a B. A B is very very narrow for a man. I’m a C width. Please just use a Brannock device to get your true size length and width.
