I cannot stress enough how heartbreaking this sad truth is.... Too many people impulse buy parrots because of cute or funny traits they've seen in other birds.
A life stuck in a cage is cruel and so unfair to these magnificent beautiful creatures.
They deserve the absolute best!
If you are interested in a parrot, adopt one because you have the time, money, patience, energy and if you want to save them from a life stuck behind bars, not solely because they are cute or funny or talk etc.
Again parrots are a LIFETIME commitment.
They can live up to 80+ years!! Which means they just might outlive you, and where will they go if something happens to you and one day you don't come home? What will happen to them? Who will love them and care for them? All things to consider....
I've given up many many things to give my two parrots and other animals the best life they can possibly have!
It is an honor to share our lives with these amazing creatures.

Please choose not to buy babies from a breeder who breeds for profit, there are thousands of birds suffering in cages abandoned and unloved waiting in sanctuaries and rescues, for homes to be cared for properly and loved.
PLEASE do your research and educate yourself before adopting, they are a lot of hard work but so worth it if you do things right and do what is best for them.

Hi there Gotcha Family!
I'm jealous..when I was in high school I worked part time in a pet store. we had an umbrella cockatoo that was a complete mush ball. he loved being rubbed and I loved doing it. his feathers were so soft and he was so lovable. Unfortunately, the store got robbed one night and Ollie and a blue macaw were stolen. they never found out who did it and we all were heartbroken not knowing where they were and if they were being cared for.

Yes , Gotcha is an amazing bird but please, before you make a decision, watch his rescue story. Not only is it a wonderful story but very educational! I have no idea what your circumstances are and I am assuming you have a very soft heart 💜. I am only saying this because of the number of cockatoos that are in shelters. My sulphur crested was attacked by a carpet python and killed. I miss him so much. It's amazing how much love they give you. You are never alone with a cocky.
