sometimes i wonder if all of this is really just for fs, but as they say eyes is the window of the soul we all witnessed how they look at each other how it changed from just being partners as tharntype to being "brothers" as they claim. plus if this is really just for fan service. then wow they really went out their way and involved each others family plus no other bl goes to merit together. no other bl involved their family and religion like MG did. we all know chopper is like a son to mew, why would he even make an effort to let chopper and gulf be close to each other when he is protective enough to chopper that he doesnt even want others to hold his baby. if this was really just a ship then im just glad they found each other, they met each other at the most uncanny timing.
