I had a friend who lived next to that siren.. she has sinced moved.... I need to get more videos of the siren around St. Louis now since I have a HD cam... all the videos I have are crappy quality... Nice Video!
I saw three CD yellow 3016s while my family and I were driving home from Bridgeton, MO. I was also lucky enough to have a clear view of a thunderbolt from outside our hotel window (in bridgeton).
I love that 3016 recording buddy! I own a 3016.

I miss them as well. I live in Olathe now and they have various versions of the 2001.

Ouranos94: That Thunderbolt [you speak of] was the last to be replaced tmk.
Bridgeton? Did Chartley Drive and Primghar Drive have one?
@@SirensAndTrainsDownUnder I believe there was a Whelen WPS-4003 on that address from map credit
@@nationsirenproductions5209 No.
Awesome video
Nice recording! Love the windup!
TO correct this out, this is an WS-3016 in Civil Defense Color yellow, Not a WPS-3016. If it is, it won't have this type of sound.
I saw this or another yellow 3016 from a highway traveling through there.
How long ago? They were replaced in 2011-2012 or thereabouts
Probably about that time. It was back in 2011 or 2012 on my way to Oklahoma.
RIP
Hey I recognize that McDonalds, BP across the street, & High voltage lines in the distance, this is Bayless!
Nice
Nice yellow whelen. I think the city wanted it to be like the thunderbolt.
I inquired about it on a siren board. Apparently, it's a WS 2000R/400R.
Nope. It's a 3016. Though they did have 2000R's.

This siren was removed in google maps. (I think)
Is the one near The Boss a 3016? From a distance, it looked like an EOWS 612.
There's one a couple blocks from here on Trampe Road.
I saw this siren once before
A yellow Whelen 3016??
ACROSS THE STREET AT THE HOLIDAY INN AT KY THERE IS A THUNDERBOLT 1000 (or 100T or 1003
Can i ask if this siren is still in service, if not, who owns it?
It's no longer in service there at least as the county replaced all their sirens with 2900 series.
Siren was sold to BVPS and scrapped.
