Now Foo Kok Keong had to win this if Malaysia have to have any chance of winning the Thomas Cup. But it was a hugh sigh of relief when Kok Keong won 15-6 15-12. Every Malaysian badminton fan knew what happened in the next tie.

But then in 1992 I was working in KL and making some money too.I tried to get a ticket for the group match between Malaysia and Denmark which the former won 5-0 but all the tickets were sold out. Then in the semifinals I also tried to get a ticket for the China versus Malaysia match but it was also sold out. But I did watch out Rashid Sidek edged out Zhao Jian Hua in the deciding set at 15-12 to put Malaysia ahead.
