Sup Valis is this phone worth it end of the day when it comes to storage, and the lack of a headphone jack and home button? I don't even know how to use icloud when it, comes to the backup of cloud data it's so complicated. I just want to be able to transfer my old iphone 4S pictures onto my windows PC.
I don't think a headphone jack, and home button are a concern anymore if I'm being honest. I mean, the only wired headphones I own are my Sennheiser's, which plug into my DAC (for editing at my desk) but they use a 1/4. I don't personally know anyone actually that uses wired headphones. However, you can get a lightning to 3.5mm dongle for $10 USD. Though, I still don't think the 14 Pro Max is worth it at all. Not even the base 14 Pro. I don't think any phone in the 14 line up is worth it this year. Unless you NEED a phone and cannot wait to upgrade until October. But, I would personally recommend looking at the used market and find a iPhone 12, or an iPhone 13 if that's the case. You'd find a better value there. + the base iPhone 14 (non pro) is the same device almost as the iPhone 13 (except for lack of emergency SOS and crash detection) and auto focusing front facing camera.

October 2021 I bought the Google Pixel 6 Pro, fantastic camera, but after the May update it became a very buggy phone! That put me off buying the 7 Pro last year, so I bought the 14 Pro Max! As a phone I find it reliable my battery is great, I do like the dynamic island though would like more options. However, like you I’m disappointed with the camera, it’s not as good as my Pixel 6 Pro, it’s such a shame after all the hype, I’m not saying it’s bad, the raw 48mp is great if you don’t mind the huge storage size or editing. What I’ve been doing, is downloading all the different camera apps, Pro Camera, Pro Camera 2, Reeflex Pro, Halide Mark11, I’ve got refunds on most apart from Reeflex Pro and Halide, Halide is my favourite it gives far sharper and better pics than the native 14 Pro Max camera, but hey, we shouldn’t have to do this on a £1200 phone!! Will I go for the 15 Pro Max this year, I dunno, I’m kinda in the eco system now with the new iPad Pro, Apple Watch 8, and I feel a bit sad as a 70 year old who really enjoys the new tech each year, and taking photos, that I’m not getting value for money with the 14 Pro Max if it’s camera isn’t up to scratch! I’m hoping for a camera update at some point! ❤

I went from 8+ to 14 Pro Max, so when I see people complaining about the 14 PM I actually laugh because at the end of the day those are the people who either 1) review all phones, 2) people who upgrade often or 3) Android users. I don’t see anyone who has gone from an iPhone 12 or lower complaining after upgrading to 14 PM.
I’m going from a regular 8 to the 14 Pro Max. This will be my first ever BIG phone. So I’m ready for that huge upgrade. Also, it is a lot heavier than the 8. I tested out the weight using my dad’s 14 Pro Max (cuz he has one). Anyways, it isn’t TOO heavy. But I can definitely feel the weight. But, it’s definitely bearable though. So yeah! I’m so excited for my 14 Pro Max. Getting it soon 😁. Oh yeah! This is my 5-6 years later upgrade. I barely upgrade my phone unless I REALLY need to, or when it starts showing it’s age. And that time is now. So, there you go
My 6 + year old iphone 7 plus falls many time on the ground, broke the lcd and the worst happening was drop on the sea water during our fishing season. So Still workin today and im so happy the apple never dissapointed me.

Tbh as someone who has bought every new iphone on Release i was bored on my 14 pro max within a week but I can’t go android anymore. So i like it just im ready for a new iPhone already. Never had issues with dynamic island being intrusive tho.

I have to say I’m more an android person than iPhone but I also like Apple. I just sold my pixel 7 pro and went back to my iPhone 14 pro max. Because as they say it just works. I honestly have to say it’s just a better phone. I hated the battery anxiety with my 7 pro. I don’t have that with my 14 pro max. I’m sure at some point I will switch back to android and the cycle will begin all over again 😂
I get major battery anxiety with most androids! It's what brought me back to iphone again.
How does it "just works" when you have to go through more steps to do things that you can easily do on Android? And isn't the saying that Android is for "old people", so if that's the case then doesn't Android "just works"?
We try to find something good in the new iphone but cannot seem to succeed. It's ridiculous to pay so much money for a phone that can't do half of the things other (android) phones can do.
Except when you spend more money upgrading your android phone because it gets desupported after 2 updates. I got tired of that and switched over to apple. Much better long term value if you hang on to your phone.

@@boboso388 Samsung offers 4 years of software updates and 5 years of security updates. And most likely when the S23 series comes out they'll offer 5 years of software updates and 6 years of security patches.
So glad that I stayed with the 13 Pro Max.

Yeah, my S22 ultra barley gives me 3 1/2 hours of screen on time. Im excited to switch to iPhone. Never had one before but I don't see the issue with the dynamic island, I don't play games at all on my phone or watch movies so I doubt it would be a problem.
I know the s22 ultra battery isn’t impressive but you can easily get 4h sot at least.I have the same phone and use it daily,i can even go up to 5 hours if i push it but for the battery life iphone is much better honestly because i have both but for anything else i think the s22 ultra is a better phone.Once you’re used to android features,it’s hard to use an iphone
@Joker🃏 honestly, you couldn't have paid me to get an iPhone just a few short years ago, I wanted nothing to do with them at all but it's hard to overlook the facts. I've been a Samsung fanboy since 2010-ish to now...but after having nearly every flagship device in that span of time, I'm curious to see what IOS is like now. I've always heard that they run smoother, they are less buggy, and shutter lag is basically nonexistent. That's something I've never been able to escape over the years with android.
@@Joker-yu5kp I barely touch 4 hr. I've started using 5G and s22 ultra has got my battery anxiety back! Thoroughly disappointed. My friend's 14 pro max averages 7 hrs easily even with 5G. My phone's battery health is around 99%.

I've switched from S22 Ultra to the 14 Pro max and as a 15year Samsung user, I can say that the iPhone is simply amazing.
Yes, there are some downsides. There's some things you can't do on the iPhone that you could with Samsung. Downloading APK files is not an option but you can if you work hard for it.
I have to say that Samsung hasn't really done that much either and the UI looks the same and is getting boring. Samsung devices have horrible speakers, crap batteries and are slow compared to apply I would say. Honestly.
This is my first time using an iPhone since I had the iPhone 4 years ago and alot has changed. It's very very smooth no lag at all. The biggest thing I like is the battery life and the security. The face id is simply amazing and can even see my face in complete darkness.
I have to say that Apple is a company doing things slowly but right. I'm happy I switched and would recommend for anyone using Samsung for a long time to switch too.
You hit every point on why I dumped the same limited and controlled by apple Iphone, it became boring, unchallenging, and repetitive, and that's why I'll never have an iPhone again.

Honestly I didn’t buy an iPhone 14 Pro because it’s boring. I didn’t buy one because I was in a need of a new phone and ended getting the 13 pro max and it has been awesome since the day I bought it. As for the iPhone 14 pro, I was actually waiting for it so I could upgrade from my previous iPhone 11 Pro.
Quickly, saying that the iPhone in its form is the same every year while true isn’t something serious as they aren’t the only ones that do this. Samsung is also rehashing designs this time around as well.
The dynamic island: let’s face it, people lamenting about the notch lead to this happening. So now it’s here and now people aren’t still happy. FaceID isn’t going away and putting under the screen has already shown that isn’t w good ideas as the galaxy fold has demonstrated with its lower quality front facing camera. Could that compromise the reliability of Face ID?
I agree on the whole wonder as to why there is still no dual screen multitasking available on the iPhone. I wonder if it has to do with people mostly not using it. Either way it would’ve been a nice addition.
No one can use split screen on an iPhone if its not there. I use it everyday on the S21 Ultra.
Apple needs to limit the functionality of iPhone so consumers will buy iPads.

@@busterboy7507 of course. I am just guessing as to why they don’t put it and I believe most people don’t use it. I also have a pixel 5a5G that can do split screen multitask and have only used it once. Also if I am correct not every app supports that feature.

Not happy with that camera, not happy with scrolling glitches and a few other things. I’ve never used an android.
As a photographer i have my camera equipment. So the point and shoot on phones is just things for fun.
I have light sensitivity and would NOT want my screen on all of the time.
I get 12 hrs of battery a day before needing a charge.
I don’t like the iOS update to 16!! I hope they change that!!
They are giving these 14 series away free now and I kind of see why.
I may just wait until October for the 15 to come out. Not sure.

Is there a headphone Jack? I miss those Even Tho headphones can be used (if you can find your short headphone jack, AND if you are fully charged) unless you have a battery pack there’s no way to use hard wired headphones and charge at the same time…or use Bluetooth headphones.
Even with the free offer, I’m tempted to wait until Oct for the 15???

You're the only person out of all the reviews I've watched that said the camera is junk? What are you, or aren't you seeing that everyone else, or isn't. Also your knocking the display in daylight. Again, you're the only one knocking it. Please explain.

Pick pick this is a video about all the nit picky faults and very little about the positive side of iPhone 14. Yet he’s quick to mention that the others are no better😭😭I have owned many apple devices and found them to be very good. They’re not perfect but at least the apple system supports them
I’m sorry, but not everything has to be positive. I’ve also owned/ and do own many apple devices, and I love them. Mac Studio, 14” Pro, etc. But not everything is perfect. And in this case, I really do feel like the 14 Pro Max is a huge step back from the 13 Pro. I’m genuinely debating selling this phone, and and just saying goodbye to apple the 15 series.

Maybe the next one, the 1V is already pretty old now. So it's a pretty odd investment for me since I pay for these out of pocket. It would be pretty hard for me to make a return on it.
had iPhone 14 Pro Max for about 2 Months and boy .... what a BORING PHONE .. and that one thing that threw me off is .. I had a high expectation on the camera quality .... sure ..the video is nice .. but if I were to compare this to Pixel 7 Pro ?? not even a contest .. the video quality is quite comparable and its like iPhone's video recording is just around 20% BETTER , which is "Smoother recording and panning" and Natural looking color with great Dynamic Range .... but that's about it.. which I am absolutely okay with Pixel 7's Video Quality ... but the PICTURE QUALITY Tho ?? Pixel's output is way reliable with POWERFUL Edit Tools Post-Capturing.. not to mention the Zoom Lens .. man
Bionic A16 is more Powerful .. but what good does it gives to me if it felt so limited? Tensor G2 felt smooth aswell!! enough ranting , but my personal preference? Pixel 7 Pro is the way to go
Yup. It's boring. Cameras are solid, but over processed, been saying this long before MKBHD's video about it. Even the Fold 4's smaller sensors beat it out (except for video). It's too much power for a phone that can't utilize it, and a team behind it that doesn't know how to.

It’s a big upgrade from a 6s hahah. It’s worth it. And the only option if you want to stay in the apple ecosystem.
I’ve been in the mobile industry for about 6 years now..I’ve begun to realize that we are pretty much peak smartphone. With Apple the experience of going from a iPhone X to a 14 really isn’t much different. Same with Samsung S10 to the 22s.

From iphone 12 to 13 and beyond , there seems to be significant battery life increase which is probably why upgrading could be worth it. I agree though with that it's not really worth it that much from 13 to 14

12s were just shit tier lineup as whole, all of them, i had 12 Pro Max for around a year and the battery life, 6.7 60hz screen, lack of fingerprint scanner, lack of good optical zoom, lack of macro and overheating were just laughable for being 1000$ flagship were you could get all of that fixed along with headphone jack and IR Blaster on a 300$ poco x3 pro.

The dynamic island is way too intrusive, there was no problem with the notch. It takes the same amount of touching the screen on iphones without the island, as it does with it to do whatever you're trying to do. The pro's are too heavy as well. The 14 Plus seems like the best shout to me personally.
I think the 14 Plus is underrated, it got hate because the price. My buddy @directtechYT picked one up and he's really liking it!
I agree,they 14 was supposed to have at least 90 refresh rate,that would have been a game changer in my opinion.Not the big fan of notch but it’s better than this dynamic island honestly

My son absolutely loves his Plus, it’s a gorgeous phone. We don’t notice much of a difference with photos either, compared to my 14 pro.
I would’ve gotten the Plus. But the 120hz matters a lot to me. I need that smooth performance. That’s why I decided to lean towards the Pro Max

Yeah, the lack of things I can use that superior chipset for compared to Android was one of the more frustrating things I ran into when I tried out an iPhone again (a 12 Pro Max) after switching to Android. I just cannot go back to an iPhone anymore.
Yeah I feel that, it's far too limiting for how powerful the phone is and it really bugs me.
I have a 14 pro max now from my boyfriend for Christmas to keep me on iMessage lol. Mission accomplished I guess. It's a good phone on its own.
Problem is I find myself going back to my $130 TCL just for the insane amount of customization options and great multitasking ability splitting screens it's amazing and so useful and I would use it on the iphone if it offered it all the time. Ios is just so limiting and boring and I find myself so enthralled and shocked when I think to myself all the time: "hey this $1100 iphone can't do this or cant do that from a $130 phone LOL"
It just doesn't make any sense and is baffling.
Unfortunately with esim now I can't keep switching my sim card based on my mood which sucks because that was really fun in the past
Took your advice Valis. Got the z fold 4 and iPhone 13 pro max as back up but deciding between these two. And while the iPhone is still the iPhone. You know. Very smooth operating system, high optimization and amazing battery life. I've genuinely been picking up the z fold 4 more often. It's a pretty sweet device lol. The front screen is nice because you can easily one hand it on the go. Which is AMAZING. But whenever you want you can flip open the large display and get a screen size that's bigger than basically any smartphone. Also I'm very surprised it operates extemely smooth. I don't see lag or frame rate drops. At all. Been using it for a couple of weeks now. Everything runs very cool and fast. Probably one of the more responsible androids I've used along side pixel 7 pro. Now I have about 2 weeks to decide if I keep the fold or default back to the familiar iPhone 13 pro max
Only thing I'm sort of concerned about is the 13 pro is built to last. There seems to be a touch more hardware failure with the fold. For obvious reasons. It's a folding sheet of glass

@@lancedomhoff1126 it functions way better than the s22 ultra. It's better in everyway except camera. But it's not even that big of a gap the z fold 4 pros outclass the s ultra by a longshot. I think it's an amazing device. And android is actually optimized really well on the fold. Better than the ultra

Dynamic island is 100% better than the previous notch that was useless and covered more of the screen. It’s not game changing obviously idk who expected it to be but it’s neat to have. The camera is amazing in RAW especially if you know how to use Lightroom. I don’t understand why people complain about not having life changing changes every year on the iPhone like cmon no company can do that. People expect too much
If iPhone literally just let their users customize their phones like a galaxy user for instance, they’d immediately convert a lot of galaxy users. Some people want their phone to actually be well “ their phone” not every single other persons phone in a restricted ecosystem where everyone’s phone looks almost the same
That's sad but true. Apple has stuck to a design that works for them in 2 ways. It's easier to manufacture and it saves them money on R&D. It's not really about innovation hence the lack of actual multitasking.
I was using Samsung S21 ultra for 18 months and was getting frustrated with constant decline in the battery and frequent app crashes. Then I evaluated Samsung Z Fold 4 but the ugly crease put me off and I chose the iPhone 14 pro max with 1TB memory.
I am very happy with the battery and software is superb. Only problem is the camera stutter while recording videos
1TB of storage; not memory.
This dudes high af . The notch was the ugliest thing that’s ever happened to a phone the dynamic island although not super useful is 10x more aesthetically pleasing than the notch

Well, in Feb. we're going to be seeing the S23 Ultra, so maybe take a look at what's to come? Regardless, it looks like 2023 is stacking up to be an incredible year with all the smartphone leaks we're seeing, so I'm excited for the upcoming flagships!

Even if I have the 14 PM as my main phone, I still have my iphone 8 plus now while watching this & still using this for social media & as a back up phone.. just installed latest iOS 16.5 in my iphone 8 plus & it is still very usable..
You can always turn of always-on display in the settings
Their two biggest selling point this year were the biggest joke to me. Dynamic island is a notification that you can't turn off, and the AOD is even more of a distraction and annoyance. I honestly don't understand how anyone would think an entire always on screen could be good for battery life. And the placement of the dynamic island is so poor for such a big phone.

Shted frim s22 ultra to iphone 14 pro max and its the worst decision in my life. I mean.....the iphone 14 pro max camera is total crap.Inconsistent dull and out of focus images with totally nothing to like.No vibrance, no colors....just bored with the phone.CANT RECOMEND
iphones is just different from android.. for audio quality built quality & longest software support.. iphone is just simple & elegant.. I switched from s22 ultra to iphone 14 pro max & I am happy & thankful.. but nowadays smartphones from midrange to high end are all very goo in all categories..
AOD is stupid imo. never used it on any phone.Samsung sucks never liked them, Apple blows the out of the water specially the folding ones. NO one multitasks lmao. Again samsung sucks . All samsung S20 S21 S22 S23 are the same so seriously lol. lol

@@narutoninjagoandtheflashar4256 the pro max is way too big! It’s a 2 handed phone! If I wanted a phone of that size I would have gone with the s23u for it’s crazy zoom capabilities but I hate 2 handed phones. I’m more than happy with the 14 pros battery life.

LOL that's not true! I love the S22 Ultra! The batter life was a little disappointing over time, and switching to it was difficult being an iOS fanboy, other than that, the Z Fold 4 has the crown. It's been a game-changing device. I don't have a single negative thing to say about it.

I think these types of reviews are very important. Although I think that some of the things are just being said, so the video can get to 10 minutes. Very, very honestly. I think the iPhone 14 Pro Max is definitely the best iPhone that has ever come out until today, because of a lot of reasons and new features. Obviously, if you have the type of money and the interest to switch phones every single year, then you're most likely not going to notice every single improvement. But if you switch from the 11 Pro for example, or from an XS Max, the iPhone 14 Pro Max is miles away from the iPhone 13 Pro Max. If we're talking about the price, that might be a little different. It might be worth buying the 13 Pro Max from some other retailers, for a cheaper price and to still get a good phone, or to just spend a little bit more money and buy straight off the 14 Pro Max.

I will add though, that the video being 10 minutes actually has no impact on anything. If anything, a shorter video increases watch time % analytic, which is the most favorable when it comes to UA-cam recommending and showing content to other people. The whole "video over 10 minute thing" used to be a thing back in 2016 when it allowed you to manually place more than 1 mid-roll advert to make more money, but I don't do that, I let UA-cam auto-fill. So honestly I could have just removed the fluff and the video would have been more beneficial, but I still felt like there's things I wanted to share because they did/ have been upsetting me with this device.
@@valismind Alright, that is kind of a very good answer to my critic. I was just trying to say that I think the video could be shorter with less bla bla bla. The video itself is from me (a viewers perspective) pretty good, but as I said the points I were trying to make are that I still think the iPhone 14 Pro Max is not a bad phone. Even if you did not 100% say that, that's the feeling you're video gave me, that you wanted to say that it is not a good phone.

I am on the fence I am looking at the iPhone cause I want to try something different been using Samsung and pixel phones for a long time and before that it was the blackberry. In your honesty should I try IOS. And see what everyone is talking about or should I stick with Samsung? And I am on the bring it back program with my network so I have till may to decide.
Don’t u say android makes better photos. U going to draw the wraith of the Apple lovers. That do not like to hear that something is better. Or they are on the fence and u saying it is not as good makes those in the fence finally jump to the Samsung android side where u have so much more innovation and tech. Honestly it's software now. Apple will patch it and it'll fix itself. I've been on the Pixel 7 for a good while and it'll fix it's issues then the issues return after the next patch, it's irritating. Glad my iphone is coming in tomorrow. As far as how the iPhones look? Dude I hope they never change that look. It's the smartest design for both hardware and for heat dissipation. Not to mention the flat sides makes it so much easier to hold as opposed to rounded which is probably why even the Samsung s23 ultra went to a more flat sides and even included a more flat sides on the Flip4 and Fold 4. The only design change I think apple should do is stop making one part glossy and the one part matte and just go full matte, everybody hates that the glossy parts are fingerprint magnets.

I don't know how you judge those photos. The ones from the Fold look just as bad, dull, and boring as the ones you took with the iPhone. Maybe taking photography classes first would get you better results.
bruh no hate but i got it after using 13 pro max & I'm enjoying it but will agree with the battery thing& the AOD ..BUT IT IMPROVED AS OF NOW... the dynamic island will be there in the 15 series with a significant price increase as said by apple only 🤣 & THE 15 PRO MAX WILL ONLY HAVE THAT PERISCOPE LENSE 😅 SO IF YOU'RE RICH YOU CAN GET 15 PRO MAX AS PRICE WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY INCREASED.. 1500-1700$ FOR THE PRO MAX 😅

For me, the iPhone Disappears, it doesn't really stand out, it's average, after buying my first IPhone 13 pro, the magic died pretty quickly, it's a good phone though; smooth, Great video, I just don't feel as productive as my last phone
People will always and forever have complaints on what’s done. If it was or wen it was a notch the same people complained saying it’s the ugliest and when they removed it and changed it to this now this is worse and the notch was better it seems. Now on the other hand if apple removes everything to make it clean then they will again complain about the poor selfie camera
