      ObsidianJay88 I’ve researched the hell out of these. Not only are issues/defects far more common than your standard tire but the company itself can be VERY difficult to work with if not impossible to get what you’re owed.. ITS OVERWHELMING. Sure, you can get a set of 4 that will do you go good.. but you can also get that set and be far more likely to have a serious issue with atleast one tire.. Hell, some semis use retreads and they are freaking dangerous as they are far more likely to blow out and shed its massive tire carcass into the wind shield of the small car following behind.. this happens more than you think.. yes, I know what I’m talking about. My safety, and anyone who is near and dear to me in my vehicles safety is far more important than saving several hundred dollars. Plus by so many accounts the company is filled with A HOLES

      ObsidianJay88 reminds, retreads, I’ve looked into them in depth.. so many customer service horror stories from treadwright specifically with both tires and customer service.. heck, I even caught a customer service rep for treadwright in the comment sections of one of these videos calling a customer a liar.. the guy fired back and said he can prove it as he saved the email... no more responses from treadwright in that thread of course. I’ve just never seen so many valid complaints and horror stories towards a tire company.. it’s VERY abnormal. No thanks.

    I had three out of four tires de-laminate on my dually.
    I might use them on a farm truck that never saw pavement
    But I’ll NEVER buy them again
    Two destroyed rear fender that cost $1000 each taught me a lesson.

    Bought full set of tires 6 months ago... routinely checked tire pressure and balance. with no weight in truck and no warning, suffered TWO tire blowouts and total tire failure at 65 mph, in TWO DAYS... body and rim damage. Treadwright has better attorneys and than manufacturers. They don't stand behind their products. And you should never install them on your steering axle.. only luck prevented fatal accident with these tires. Off road and under 35 mph only. Never had a blow up in 40 years with numerous other brands. BEWARE

      i have called, emailed, voice messaged TW and Michael Mathews (customer service rep) bi-weekly since my first failure ie August 30, 2017..... while i understand the Hurricane Harvey problems and delays.. to date no reasonable response .ie TW "just buy more tires".. or no response at all.. based on my experience these tires are life threatening... All i get is excuses/delays/blaming someone else .... a BANDAG QA rep inspected the failed and yet unfailed tires.. his opinion there was a "gross manufacturing failure" with all my tires. i'm glad to speak with you any time.. my invoice number #7855... all my contact info is there and also on the related customer complaint.

      We'd be happy to help you. I see you haven't filed a warranty claim. If you are having issues with the product please submit that and i'll make sure you are contacted. No customer has ever been told "just buy more tires" as I have monitored every submission for over two years.

    • @donbilling8143

      Invoice 7855.... first claim was made Aug 15, 2017.... Second claim submission was 10/13/17 and also forwarded to Houston BBB issue #12441377. There was no response. I have 4 bad tires that i paid $578 for. A Bandag QA inspector (a competitor in OTR tires) looked at both the failed and remaining tires...His opinion, these tires are defective... Micheal Matthew's last offer (Dec. 28, 2017, after silence since Oct 16th) was a set of replacement tires, if i removed my social media complaints in advance of your shipment. Since TW has sold defective products, made no good faith effort at replacement without threat of social media complaints.. I'm ill at ease making any changes until i receive good replacement tires. TW is the party with No Responsive BBB rating down from "A" last January, prior to my purchase.. And my FICO score is over 750... i paid in full and got tires that failed in 3000 miles.. I don't know anyone that believes that was a reasonable trade. Ball in your court.

    Hello! I took the leap of faith on the claw 2's and hate them... I had only 50 miles on them when one tire decided to have tread separation on me at 70mph. Lucky for me it was my driver rear... I contacted treadwright and if you can get ahold of them there service is good. They sent me not one but two new ones (one extra to replace a tire for a bad side to side wobble.) I decide to go to another tire store to have them mount and balance the new tires as well as rebalance my old tires. Long story short after over 50 oz. Of weights on one tire and a Lil less on the other and a nice bill due to being charged .75 cents an ounce. No good. I contacted them and left a voice mail on December 19th with them and no return call, sent an email on the following Friday to the gentleman who made it right on my first adventure and nothing. I will give them some extra time to respond due to the holidays. But as of now a %100 can not recommend these tires. If I do not get a response or if they can not resolve the issue on there terrible quality control I will be doing a video shortly my self. Thanks and merry Christmas, Casey.

      First of all no matter the band name or where the tires are made or what type of tire it is. You should NEVER air down or up your tires. When you air down your tires you are over deflecting them, meaning underinflation will cause overloading, the MGF tire specs should always be in use. I have been a tire warranty inspector for over 12 years. If a tire is underinflated I would not warranty it myself and there are ways to tell about tire pressure usage.

    After reading all the reviews, it would seem that Treadwright has a process problem. I have run retreads on my aircraft for years without a single issue and have never heard of a single issue in other aircraft.. Southwest Airlines and others only run retreads without issues. I suspect that Treadwright would benefit from determining how their process differs from the aircraft tire retreading process and adjust accordingly. I have never read so many reviews that discussed disintegrating tires.

      It's hard to know how many complaints about TreadWright are true. I've run Chinese tires for years, got friends and family to run them and never had a problem with them, but if you go on UA-cam you find lots of people posting crap that sounds just like what they say about TreadWright. I believe a lot of these stories are FUD people with tire shops are putting out because like with Chinese tires retreads are a threat to their businesses.

    These tires are not safe at all. One tire blew up on the highway after 1 day of use. The company didn't care. I would not recommend this brand as they are not safe at all. Check their google photos for proof they are unsafe. Many clients post pictures of blown tires.

    I got the Warden tires recently...DO NOT get these as a Snow Tire. Ok as a summer tire. They are absolutely horrible. They are brand new and are slick as snot. I road BF Goodrich for years and decided to try these and i deeply regret it.
    I had to buy chains. I live in Colorado and deal with alot of winter driving and these do not perform. They say extreme snow and have the rating but I am telling you do not count on these as a possible snow tire. You will slip and slide into the ditch!

  • @jamesnm21

    There's a reason recycled tires are a BAD idea. Rubber dries out and cracks. It has an expiration date just like milk or butter. Remolded tires are heavier and use more fuel. Don't buy recycled tires. The trucking industry burns through tires quickly enough that the rubber is probably still safe. Plus if they blow a tire it's not a big deal on an 80,000lb truck with 17 more tires still intact. It's a totally different ballgame with your car.

    • @firehawk6188

      You're right. If a tire blows out on an 18 wheeler and you get hit by it you will likely get maimed or killed by the shrapnel. If a tire pops on your car you aren't likely to hurt anyone with what flies off.

    3:13, make sure tires are done right to make sure customers are happy??? I bought 5 claws 35" and they are junk long story short I have gotten a total of 9 so far because the original 5 were all junk! 1 tire blew at 70mph with only 60 miles on them, 2nd had a terrible side to side wobble, 3rd needed over 50 oz of weights, 4th needed almost 30 oz and the 5th had a side to side wobble as well! They replaced 4 out of 5 and the 5th tire still has side to side wobble but my phone when recording can't pick it up because of technology. So I am stuck with that... the new tires they sent balanced out great, but they still shake my jeep to death. And nothing is wrong with my jeep, it is a 2016 low miles... at the end tw on facebook pm told me that they could no long continue servicing me. So basically they said I was the issue and not there tires... good luck if you buy. Stay away if you care about your loved ones and your life... if you decide to still buy after doing research have fun dealing with the headaches.

    Really....How much did Treadwright pay this guy. I cant believe they posted a this video their website! did anyone not realize (catch) that at 13:51 in the video when he walks up an touches the tire you can tell its a BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO All-Terrain Tire, all you have to do is look at the lettering on the sidewall that is BF Goodrich lettering not Treadwright.. Funny no one caught this

    • @sixtyfiveford
      @sixtyfiveford 8 років тому +3

      +Randy Koch Exactly what Randy said. I have had Treadwright tires for close to 5 years. My first set were Guard Dogs(the same tread pattern in the video) all on Toyo casings. Only the tread surface was done so the sidewalls all said Toyo. Those were the best tires I've ever owned so last fall I got a second set, this time going for the more aggressive Claw patter that are now a bead to bead design and they say Treadwright on the sidewalls. Nothing was wrong with the tread only, other than it was a conversation piece with off road guys who know their treads and knowing Toyo doesn't have a pattern that looks like this. Also if you know patterns of mud terrain tires you would know that the Guard Dog(the one he touches at 13:51) is a clone of the Goodyear Mud Terrain tread pattern, not a BFG. The Claw I now run is a clone of the BFG Mud Terrain tread pattern.

      +Troy Compton lol, everyone already answered. But yes, it was a BFG casing, that had been remolded by TW. Thats how they used to finish them. Like the others said, now they do bead to bead.
      Ive been running treadwright for 5yrs now, and will NEVER go back. Awesome tires. The first ones I bought were just like you seen Troy. They were BFG casings, but brand new treadwright traction! They are still wearing great.
      I picked up a nail in one years ago. Stuck a plug in it, and she's never gave me a problem.

    • @bigbluegpr
      @bigbluegpr 7 років тому +2

      Yep Troy...and everyone has already answered, but if you knew as much about tires as you THINK you do, then you would've noticed that the sidewall also said "All-Terrain". The tread pattern on the tire isn't the same as a BFG All-Terrain. It's also similar to the Goodyear MTR (maximum traction radial), which was obviously NOT made by BFG.

    I always find the "Made in America" argument so stupid. I'd rather have a quality product from overseas than junk like this made here in America. Buying tires costs me money, I rather have a new tire and save the money. TreadWright tires are JUNK, and here's why. If you're doing the inspections on the junk tires, you can pass ANY dry rotted tire, tire that had broken belts, tire that was abused and misused. New Hankook or Cooper tires are also $10 more a piece in any size I've checked on a 16" or 17" rim, go NEW.
    These are junk, take a set of Cooper Discoverers and go 90 on the interstate and then a set of these, no comparison, Cooper BEATS these shits to nothing. For cheap new tires go to SimpleTire.com

    I bought 6 warden 245/75r 17 10 ply tires for my truck. In less than 2000 miles one completely separated and blew out on the interstate. They were great and warranted the tire. After this incident I checked the rest of my tires and found my left front was starting to seperate at the sidewall and my right outer dually has lost most if not all of the tread. Company refuses to warrant the tires and claimed they were road hazard damage. As I'm typing this I have been on hold now for 30 minutes waiting to speak with a manager and nothing. They had the nerve to offer me a 20%/30% discount on two new tires which I refused as these should be covered under warranty. Crappy service and crappy tires! Buy at own risk of having a blow out on the interstate. My last set of lizzeties lasted over 40000 miles with zero issues and never had to add air. Stay away! Far away! Road hazard damage my A$$!
