  • After what seemed like forever, our Retro 189R camper has been repaired! The day we picked it up from the service department we packed up and headed to our very first Tennessee campground:)

Fellow Louisianaian here ! North of Baton Rouge- Zachary/Ethel area! We love your videos and subscribed! We’ve used site recommendations from you guys- and you know how to pick them for sure!!! Thanks for all your videos!!!!! Headed to Lake Lincoln in a few weeks and got spot 64 like you recommended!!!❤
We also stayed in spot 56 at Percy Quinn (you stayed in spot 54, but recommended spot 56- so that’s what we chose!)

Hey Joy, thank you so much the kind words, really ☺. We're glad yall can use our videos to help find nice camping spots too.
Site 64 at Lake Lincoln, yup that's got to be a favorite for a lot of folks. I know it is for us. Take a fishing pole for the sac-a-lait, you can fish right off the camp site.
Thanks for watching our video, we want to be as helpful as possible (while having fun 😃) so everyone else can enjoy camping too. Also, thanks for subscribing to our channel, Joy.
      Happy Trails & Happy Camping
PS; blue and white jigs for Lake Lincoln 😉

Hey guy’s, haven’t seen you in awhile. What was the repair all about? Me and Lauren are still getting our retro ready for our first trip, probably in the spring. Thanks for the idea for changing out the bath fan, it went in without a hitch! It’s slowly getting ready for spring! 👍🏻☮✌🏻

Hey Alan. Our issue was soft floors in the rear of the camper. It got bad quick! The pressboard floors break down quickly once they get wet. Also, a soft spot by the door. I noticed the soft spot in the reaar about 6 mounths ago and just a few weeks later it spread FAST. We couldn't use the toilet anymore because that section was soft.
The leak for the rear of the camper came from the license plate bracket and the door soft spot came from the fenderwell.
The sealant around the bracket *looked good* but when the repair guy added a small amount of presure to the bracket it was clear the seal was broken. The fenderwell sealant also needed attention.
In short, I should have paid better attention to maintence. A few hours of inspection would have saved us a few thousand dollars.
We have some footage of the process of the Retro getting repaired and that video will be out in January.
Thanks for watching our video, Allan.🙂
