I'd actually would like to see Kurzweil release a module. A lot of the sounds in the Forte, SP and PC3 line are identical anyway...why not give the option of a module for people who just want to externally control it? That being said, I really do appreciate Kurzweil sort of going "BACK" with their streamlined designs of the SP series. I'd like to see them do a 61 synth action version.
Mono usually means one. Stereo is 2 R and L out puts. I don’t know. I know to get the best sounds switch stage piano like this you have to use a PA system or amplifier, 3 way speaker would work also.
I really don't see the value or purpose of this instrument. For a quarter more of the price, not a big stretch in my opinion, you can get the SP6 which is 10 timesn better than the SP1! Both in functionality, quantity of sounds and especially quality of sounds. Really, there is no comparison with regards to sound quality between the two, yet the inferior instrument is only a quarter of the price cheaper.
I know that this is 2 years after your message, but the current price difference I am seeing in the USA is a two thirds price increase to go from an 88 key SP1 at $900 to an 88 key SP6 at $1500. That's a significant difference in price.
the main problem with Kurzweil keyboards is the action is never that great. what good is a keyboard with more memory, sounds, and functions if the action/keybed is average or worse? if people don't really play keys and are buying a product like this just to program performances on - why not just use a laptop or one of the ten million gadgets and toys out there. these are for keyboardists, and you askyone, action/keybed trumps every other category combined.
I have the exact same opinion, I would rather compromise on some useless feature that you can achieve anyway with some sort of ad dons or via MIDI but never put the key action as second or third in the list. I did not know by the way that Kurzweil had bad keybeds, you had a lot of experience with? Can you share your experience by telling how bad these are and why?
Very helpful to be able to hear the sounds and see you working the controls. Thanks for this!
Great demonstration on how versatile the instrument is, with the live adjustments of the eq. Great work!!!! Always love your videos.
Great playing.
Sounds so musical, not 3000 plastic sounds👍
good video, I just ordered tis based on this video.

Does it have something like a Variation button to "turn the Leslie on/off?" I hope so, as this is piano is absolutely incredible!
Sounds pretty good to me :)

Yes, the sounds are flat sounding. I do think they are, Mono.
Así es, el sonido de piano está en mono. Inaceptable

This is different action to normal Kurzweil.
Suena horrible!!
