This has to be the best demo on speakers i'v ever heard on youtube amazing audio quality saying that both sets of speakers offer a pleasing punchy reproduction however my preference would be the Bowers and wilkins for a long listening session just a tad smoother but then Led Zeppelin 2 on the Q Acoustics could sway me !!
B&W are excellent, Love reveling speakers. soft speaker are a bit boring to me it is like something is missing but It’s just me. Thanks for watching.Chris.
My 3020is go on when I wanna hear just regular party music but when I want to do some critical listening (classical, Blues) that's when I bring out the KEF ls50 s
I’m getting back into the hobby. I find myself replacing every speaker with a Q Acoustic after the new wears off. Their speakers are just fun with anything I throw at them, if that makes any sense.
That B &W treble cannot be tamed even with Mc/tosh. I prefer the Q's more laid back presentation. I am happy with my ProAc's. All the detail but can listen for hours.

I liked the puppy play at the end the most... ;) just bought 3020i and they are definitely better than the 3010i I moved to be used as surrounds.... in this video 3020is sounded like something is missing but they sound great in my living room....they literally put a smile on my face and I'm sure I'll be enjoying them for a many ears
@@JimChristianAudio I have them in a 13x19 room that's open to a dining room and I sit like 12 feet away i wish i can place them on a speaker stands so they can be at ear level and firder into the room but that's not an option do to sharing the place with 2 big dogs and 3 cats ;) I first bought the 3010i and I liked them but I usually enjoy my music or movies a bit louder than normal people so I decided to get the 3020i and I love them they sound good enough for me and they look good enough and they are small enough to be approved by my girlfriend so..... still can believe how good they look modern and kinda retro at the same time cause mine are also in the english walnut finish...
I love the more natural sound of the Q Acoustics speakers. I heard the 3020is in person and they sound amazing but, a lepai class D amp is bottlenecking the speakers sound quality potential. I might spend the extra 50 dollars on the 3030i. Although they are bookshelf speakers they are a welcoming upgrade from my Bose model 601 series I and I'll power them with my vintage pioneer a9 receiver. Love that receiver so much.
AUDIO AND SCOTCH the sound of them especially since they are hooked up to vintage pioneer A9 receiver from 1981 has such a revealing yet gentle treble, had amazing forward but not too forward vocals, and the bass is quite deep despite being much smaller than my Bose 601 series I. Overall the sound quality is a huge improvement over my bose 601.
With all of the caveats (via your mic/listening area/UA-cam/Bluetooth/my receiver/speakers) Q sounded better in just about every way. Thanks for the listen.
No contest. The vocals are a lot more expressive on the B&Ws plus the distinctive character of each instrument can be heard a lot more clearly which makes each track much more legible and engaging as a result.

I prefer the Q Acoustics more because the girl's voice sounded more natural and actually clearer on them, the B&W was brighter and also was slightly sibilant, if you could judge a pair of speakers through a video then the B&W for that price aren't very impressive. A more fair comparison would be agaist the B&W 606 which is more in the same price range
I bought the 3020is new with some open boxed stands in January for under £280 and I love them. Just had a look and they are back down to £168 or £275 with (new)stands at richersounds in the UK not bad of your looking some nice speakers.
Which is better Elac Debut 6.2, Q Acoustics 3020i or Dali Spektor 2? These are my options actually. I want warm, rich sound, and wide soundstage. Thanks
B & W are solid but for the price hell to the no .I see B&W speakers listed in Audio Advisor mags i get and their prices make me puke. Even if you wanna say B&W for the win it's not by much. Better bass but the Q Accoustics 3020I vocals stand out more pronounced and clear at a much better price point. The 3020i's could be my next investment in speakers.
Great equipment 👍 The small room will definitely amplify the brightness of either speaker. Just from my experiences. I bet either sets of speakers would open up and calm down in a larger space. I have a couple of tube amps (Rogue and Bob Carver) an Adcom and a Crown amp. Would trade them all for a McIntosh. Well maybe not all. 😄 Beautiful amps.
The 3020i are certainly not hi end speakers but I prefer them over the 850D which are vicecerly too bright, sterile and unnatural for my taste not impressive speakers at all for the money , however the 3020i are great value for the money.
I have Q Acoustic 1010i and B&W 685... I use Onkyo Amplifier and yess, B&W more bright than Q Acoustic, but somehow i much more enjoy using Q Acoustic for several genre of music... Q Acoustic are more dinamic music reproduction than B&W The better mid detail in Q Acoustic...
They both sound good ,the Q acoustics are much cheaper though .With the difference i would add a REL sub or 2 for the bottom octave .Or a pair of Q acoustics concept 500 like mine , job done .

Bowers&wilkins B&W are very overrated. I had three pairs of them. When I bought the Q, I saw a sound image for the first time. That says it all..! Not to mention the price of the Q.
The B&W should eat these for dinner and spit them out. They are not doing that because the setup seems wrong. I am hearing a lot of echo and wave interference. Room is not well treated. The B&W's may be too big for this room. Whatever it is, it's the sound treatment of the room that's confounding things here.
The simbalace in the recording makes it difficult to listen to. But I do like the sound of the B&W’s best. Would ave liked a little more dynamic selection.Thanks for the video. Oh, almost forgot, is that single malt ?

With headphones you will be able to listen better. and I know it is not the same as been in front of the speakers but this is all we have thanks to youtube. I'm not an expert, just have one of the worse hobbies out the =)

Actually, for me the b&w sound more detailed, and you can hear that on the last music... with the q acoustics it’s sound messy, and with the 805 you can hear the details of the drums... imho
Clifford Costley most likely the fact that you’re hearing the room, a microphone and of course all of this through your own system. I have a pair of the Q Acoustics in my office system, rest assured, they aren’t overly bright by any means. They’re incredibly even handed and natural sounding for the money.
Little yorky sleeping through it I don't think it moved check it's pulse. Getting to the speakers what is he a shed you couldn't swing a miniature yorky in there silly speaker comparison in such a small space

I like the tonality and timbre of the 3020i..the B&W's as usually are just to bright and forward...

100% agree. B&W sounds like it'd be fatiguing after just 1 song.
Q is closer to neutral while B & W is forwarded and sharp, with less bass, but cleaner vocals.

The 685 need another type of amplifier and aditional bi wiring.

3030 sound much better than the 2020i. even without a subwoofer.
The 3020i sounds much better with a sub then the 3030is..there just much more balanced

I still have the b&w302 swapped the 804d for the 302 and never missed them

I have the C500s. Too polite. The 5020s and 5050 towers are the way to go, both with 6” mid-woofers. 5040s too but 5.25” mid woofs.

Depends what amp you pair them with..I have the azur 851a and will take the 3020is all day long
I think a better comparison for the Q Acoustics would have been agains the B&W 606 - which are "only" $900/pair. Still a nice review - thanks!

Bowers&wilkins B&W are very overrated. I had three pairs of them. When I bought the Q, I saw a sound image for the first time. That says it all..! Not to mention the price of the Q.
More texture in the mid range on BW, but the QA sound very very good. BW much fuller rich sound.
