I didn’t really like her in the books. Far more agreeable, simpering, less personality. I didn’t mind the book library scene where he comforts her while she’s vulnerable, but I strongly disliked her easily agreeing to marry a man who tells her not to expect love.
I loved the small changes to her character in the show than the book but her character in the book was pretty amazing but overall I liked the adaptation of the show better than the book actually.

Wasn’t a fan of Bridgerton till Kate and Edwina entered the show!
Gooooosh this season could have been so much better smh. The library scene, the bee scene, Kate's NDE, all of it was integral to the Kate-Anthony book story, in the show it could be cut and the story works just as well. The Viscount Who Loved Me is probably the best of the 8 Bridgerton novels because of the character growth both MCs have to go through. In the show, however, they've cut all of that integral character growth out. Really a dropped ball, still looking forward to Polin next season though.

As much as I dislike season 2, Kate was my favourite character. Strong minded and competitive perfect for the family.
I wonder, why do you dislike it? I loved the romance more than the first, they shouldn't have focused so much on the Featheringtons and all the other side plots that really took away alot and will forever be the scenes I'll fast forward/not pay attention to but I absolutely adorred every scene with Kathony and am obsessed with them and their chemistry :-)
@@dakota7314 I guess it’s my romance 😅. I found Daphnes story my cup of tea because I hate conflict even if it leads to good things. And I didn’t see much romance like what I did in Daphne’s story not to mention I still am finding out things in the 1st season I never noticed the first 5 times I’ve watched it. I’m still watching season one over snd over again because of the lord berbrooke scandal and the Colin and marina scandal. Although Eloise in season 2 was stunning and looked more grown up that in season 1 because of longer skirts (who knew length of skirts make a difference in the look of age)

I guess I really relate to the character of Kate and loved the more grown up feel of the story, their chemistry and that they mirrored each other. We are all different and certain things will touch and reach us differently :-). Thanks for sharing!

I don't get it. I've NEVER had a strong immediate dislike for a character until now. First I was repelled her weirdly unnatural face. I finally figured out it was mostly her tiny elfin nose (obviously a reconstruction), -it doesn't go with her face. (memories of Michael Jackson). Too-wide jaw, strange skin tone -she doesn't look like a real person. I was SO disappointed to realize she was going to be main character. And then -she overdid the "shrew" personality. She ruins the story. Why would she appeal to any man?

The horse race scene is one of the best scenes and one that is underrated. The way Kate’s competitive and whip smart spirit shines, how she cheers and whistles without a care about what others think, and putting Anthony in his place. It is gold. Great acting by all!

Season 2 is better than Season 1 for me thanks to Simone Ashley as Kate. Her eyes were everything!!!! And I loved that Kate was such a badass. Truly Anthony's match. Loved the character development of Anthony. I didn't really care for him in season 1, but he is such an amazing actor.

The dresses were lovely Alternate Universe style, I particularly ADORED how Kathani's dresses seemed to be made of saree clothing. It was as if she'd taken some of her saris to a seamstress and had turned them into regency dresses. And the colors compliment her so well.
She was brutal, no holds barred.
And, BLACK TEA IS AN ABERRATION. There's green tea, and white tea, which make the most of the tea plant. There are other herbal teas, rooibos, chai... But the British take the tea leaves and BURN THEM INTO ASHY BLACKNESS. Kate Sharma is right about everything. Pity she married that dolt, but I guess it's charity work. That way the Viscountcy will be in good hands.
