- After spending a week in a brand new 2023 RAV4 Prime XSE, and I literally mean BRAND New, (huge thanks @toyotausa), I’ve come to understand why this is such a hot commodity in the crossover SUV segment and further solidifies my love for PHEVs. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Highs:
-Refined PHEV powertrain offers plenty of range, quick Level 2 charging times, and lots of powertrain customizability.
-Backed by an impressive 10 year/150k mile battery system warranty.
-General materials, ride quality, and utility are more than competent for daily use & battery doesn’t eat into cargo space.
Lows:
-You can tell features are held back for Lexus models, specifically the sister NX450+ PHEV with the same powertrain.
-The digital cluster has a very annoying glare and is cluttered at times, infotainment screen isn’t the highest quality.
-WAY too many safety system beeps and alerts.
-Can get expensive in higher trims, this is around $51k (*$42k starting for Prime).

ACN EXTRA: Solid 8/10 and a great long term buy from Toyota! Though the competition is coming in fierce. I would still take this over a BZ4X or Solterra.

@@Allcarnews also i have 1 more question! when you are backing up the car, and let's say there's a car behind you coming from the left and/or right, but they are 2 feet away - does the rav4 beep or give you a warning in the camera? I know the lexus does that on the infotainment screen, but not sure if the toyota has that safety feature

The rav4 needed this new tech, the old infotainment was decent but the camera quality wasn’t good. Toyotas new system is honestly the best now and I love the camera system

can you set speedometer to be on the left hand side?
Not going over the "AC 120V" button is a huge oversight, that feature is new in the 2023 model.

I have the Prime XSE but no camera button and I don't know how (if) there's a heads up display like you demo'd. I also wish the blind spot and front end collision had audible alerts like my Kia Soul did.
You don’t have the Premium package which offers different ventilated seats as well.
Does the camera turn on while lane switching, and or does it beep or indicate incoming cars and warns on the lane switch?

could we run the camera while driving even more than certain miles per hour or it's in low mileage? thank you.

Did I get ripped off? One of my deal breakers was that I NEEDED a 360 view. I don’t have that button on my car!

Damm, Cars delivered to my.country (Czechia) are only with wired Android Auto :-(
so i have a new 2024 RAV4 Prime and i cant for the life of me find the camera views you showed @3:52 it only shows the egg view and the 360
perhaps its just in Drive?
