So many people here in the comments doesn't actually listen to what Chuck said. He's not comparing the play style of Simmons to Kobe. What he's talking about is the dominance Simmons and Embiid is putting out there just like when Shaq and Kobe used to play together.
Ben and Joel aren’t an elite duo and they can’t dominate every night, so we really shouldn’t say they’re “like” anybody. I know chuck isn’t making direct comparisons but I don’t even agree with his statement that they’re a problem together. It’s the regular season so guys gonna look better than they are, and the role players for sure will make them look even better because there’s no real pressure. The 76ers are a second round team at best this year playing at their absolute best.

Plus Centers are allowed to shoot three's and dribble the ball right now. If you compare eras of basketball Shaq was more of the go to bucket then Embid right now.
