I think your version of this wonder song is simply brilliant. Voice, phrasing, harmony, guitar, and especially the dynamic control and delivery - the power of the soft, brief, and unstressed word. Sorry than I came upon your song so late. You both made it yours.
A gorgeous interpretation! The number of beautiful renditions of Dylan songs by varied artists is amazing and prob an unknown. It's as if Dylan and his songbook are saying "Please help yourself!
Alice Pheobe Lou! We love you! This song version is played on regular in my home -my daughter doesn’t love the original because she knows your version! She adds in the “thank you” when she sings it!! I hope you see this and know you are appreciated
Saw them performing upstairs in Farringdon at my favourite pub The Betsey Trotwood years ago. I bought their lovely EP which came in a sweets bag, I must remember to dig it out.
vagn qvistgaard Thanks for that ! I found that a few month ago thanks to an article about My Bubba in witch the guitarist told us about her instrument. But your respond gives more infos.👍🏼 Many thanks again.
in a nutshell, with a capo on the third fret the chord shapes are as follows (more or less, I'm not the greatest ;) ) intro: 4 bars Em 4 bars C 4 bars G 4 bars D for the verses: Em C G D followed by Em C G D G for the bridge: D G D G (insert bluesy chord i can't figure out right here) Am7 C D then back into the chords for the verses
Hi David. Do you mean this particular video? It's just on UA-cam. Not for sale. There is however a version of this song released by my bubba on one of their earlier releases under the title 'Bob we love you'.
This is probably my favorite song by My Bubba. It really shows how much a cover can change a song. However, the slowing of the pace means that it becomes quite long. Maybe kick out a verse or two somewhere in the middle?
The complete lyrics are critical to the song and stunningly perfect for this arrangement. It's fascinating, the way Dylans incredible songbook welcomes variations and how many beautiful interpretations of his work exist. ['All Along the Watchtower'] for one.
proving ONCE AGAIN that EVERYONE does dylan better than dylan. wild good and i come here by way of colter wall to willie watson to these remarkably talented girls...I FUCKIN LOVE UA-cam!
+Alan French Are you addressing My bubba or other comments? Because they were really rather cheerful when we filmed this. Not that it's anyones business whether they are or not...
+Onder Invloed You are correct.. none of our business But if you are trying to promote your song / band.. a smile goes a long way... You just lost a viewer... :-(
I wonder WHAT the idea behind to bring this song to an almost painful crawl is? What's the GAIN? No offense to any of you, you have beautiful voices but this song at this speed becomes "mono-emotional," and sort of dies. It was conceived as a vibrant, up tempo tune --albeit BITTERSWEET, precisely . . . JUST LIKE LOVE IS LIKE! Unfortunately, lowering the speed, the lyrics fall flat, and are no longer moving, i.e. "crickets talking back and forth in rhyme" is such an absurdist and comical metaphor that one can clearly hear Dylan jokingly delivering it with a grin . . . and straight into your heart. Cheers.

Such a lovely version of this great song! Thank you!
My favorite Dylan song. Such a lovely version.
Now that’s the way to sing a Dylan song. Your phrasing touched my heart with regret and hopefulness.

Very pretty, lovely. Cheers from Brazil!
Saw them performing upstairs in Farringdon at my favourite pub The Betsey Trotwood years ago. I bought their lovely EP which came in a sweets bag, I must remember to dig
it out.
Wish I had known about them then.
Very nice, good harmony!
Fabulous performance.
I remembered being moved.. when I saw them live..and they performed this song..
A really nice take on a great song. Dig the harmonies and the fingerpicking.
So very, very beautiful.
Dylan would be so proud of you guys

I came across My Bubbas on NPR and loved instantly their music. So lovely.
By the way, do someone is able to identify this guitar ?
vagn qvistgaard Thanks for that ! I found that a few month ago thanks to an article about My Bubba in witch the guitarist told us about her instrument. But your respond gives more infos.👍🏼 Many thanks again.
What is the chord progression used in this cover? It's beautiful
in a nutshell, with a capo on the third fret the chord shapes are as follows (more or less, I'm not the greatest ;) )
intro:
4 bars Em
4 bars C
4 bars G
4 bars D
for the verses:
Em C G D followed by Em C G D G
for the bridge:
D G D G (insert bluesy chord i can't figure out right here) Am7 C D
then back into the chords for the verses
Wish I could figure out how to buy this.. Seems unavailable in the U.S. One of my favorite performances of the last decade.

It's also just been released as a b-side of My Bubba's new Blue Series single from Third Man Records-- thirdmanstore.com/featured/gone-7-black-vinyl
DOES ANYONE KNOW THE PICKING PATTERN 😭 I would be eternally grateful
Anyone know what brand of guitar that is
Why "Onder Invloed"on top right corner (under influence)?
That was the Dutch name of this channel, before I changed it to The Influences.
This is probably my favorite song by My Bubba. It really shows how much a cover can change a song.
However, the slowing of the pace means that it becomes quite long. Maybe kick out a verse or two somewhere in the middle?
No. No, no, no. Dylan's lyrics are great and My Bubba does a fantastic version -- I can listen to it over and over -- it's not too long.
@@portraiturebystephen9751 If anything it's not long enough!

Remarkable, she can sing without opening her mouth.
i know i think thats how some of her notes ring like that
Adds to her resonance and the mic makes up for the loss in sound projection.
Aah will ya STOP FGS!, I can't take any more of this retrying
Publix shopping bags, I’ve got like 8 pounds of them. It’s ridiculous how many public shopping bags I have.

+Alan French Ah well. Sorry to hear that Alan. Maybe this will be more up your alley: ua-cam.com/video/ZRMTC9Tzj2c/v-deo.html

Alan French who gives a fuck about your viewership? This is a GORGEOUS rendition and you have the audacity to say "smile more." fuckouttahere.
😆😆😆 no one cares about your stupid boner, dude
Yeah, yeah, pretty girls go 'blah'. I've lived it. Too long.
good, too slow imo. bob plays it sad and happy
Ugggh. Didnt know it was possible to ruin this song!
Beautifully performed and incredibly melodic, but too slow and morose for my taste.
Рыжая, перестань мучать блондинку.
