It's one of the tougher DIY jobs for sure. I used to tell homeowners all the time that if they had the budget to hire someone for certain things around their new home, they should consider hiring this type of job out. I always felt that digging trenches was definitely one of the areas where it was worth hiring someone. But you guys did really well. Now you have money left over for the deck materials, etc.

You should have connected your neighbors drain closest to the front so their runoff doesn't ruin things between your homes.
