Could you create a listening comprehension video for every playlist? This way someone could double check if they have solidify the topic and are ready to move on. Even just like one minute, also I need to mention I am blind and your videos have been really helpful in teaching me German. I like how you provide visuals, but also focus on the auditory aspect so I do not need to see you to be able to enjoy and benefit off of your lessons, but rather can just listen with my ears and learn how to talk Deutsch

      That’s a great idea!
Just to check, do you mean read a text in which the grammar point is used and then ask comprehension questions about it? Or you mean read a text where the grammar point is discussed and ask questions about it?
i.e. For this video, it might be:
‘Herr Schmidt hat einen roten Papageien gesehen, aber der Papagei war in einem Tiergarten. Neben dem Papageien gab es einen Bären, der traurig aussah.‘
      What did he see?
      Where was it?
      What was next to it?
What did Herr Schmidt think about that?
(Rather than “in German a weak masculine noun gets an ‘n’ or ‘en’ in all cases except the nominative”
What happens to the word ‘der Elefant’ if used in the dative case? Etc.)

@@HerrFerguson either strategy would work but I like the idea of you asking questions in German and us having to reply in German as well. Just like we are out and about neither of us speak English and we are having an entire conversation. maybe you could do it based upon level, someone who just knows basic vocabulary can still have a very basic conversation but you also could make a separate video for someone who knows more German and could have a more in-depth conversation. another suggestion could be making an entire playlist and doing it based upon different settings. A doctors office or talking to a doctor or teacher is going to be a lot more formal than ordering a coffee or tea at Starbucks. therefore, it could be useful for someone to practice both and feel comfortable using formal language and informal speech. I know that there are many listening comprehension videos online in German, as well as people having a conversation in German to see if you can understand what they are saying but I like the idea of us having a conversation with someone else who can speak German in different areas of life. What do you think about this?

@@HerrFerguson absolutely, but I need to thank you. Your videos have been so accessible to someone blind and I really appreciate that. Originally I was looking at many different channels but I selected your videos because out of all the other German learning channels yours are the most accessible, and I hope you’re proud of that. please continue uploading to your channel and I hope you have a wonderful rest of your week

Hi mr feerguson , i have a question.
Why is it wrong to say: WIR HABEN AM WOCHENENDE NACH GENF GEFAHREEN
INSTEAD OF WIR SIND AM WOCHENENDE NACH GENF GEFAHREEN?

      Hallo!
It’s because movement verbs (such as ‘went’, ‘drove’, ‘flew’, etc. need to have ‘sein’ as the helping verb.
You can recap the rule here: ua-cam.com/video/kCnWCQlfMFE/v-deo.html

Great content! Make shorter titles for videos and simpler previews, because many people just won't even look at your content! It's difficult to see messy / long names and preview with so many pictures or text on it ;)
