I had a former music teacher in high school who used to be a police officer in the UK; Fife, Scotland, to be precise. His name is Matthew Birch, and I had him as my music teacher for a few years. 2 years after I finished high school, I discovered that he was arrested in 2021 for r*ping several students. What made it worse was that he looked friendly and approachable on the outside, which made it easy for him to pick his targets. This had been going on for at least 13 years from 2005 to 2018 and it wasn't until 2019 when an investigation was made (The prosecutor was someone who was in my registration class until she had finished school.) and he was charged for his crimes. Edit: There's been an update since I made this comment and a fact that I forgot to mention. The teacher would target girls who were skilled at music but were often socially awkward. This whole situation was brought up to the music department head teacher, and instead of informing the police or the head teacher of the school, she told Birch about what she was told.

I have a suggestion for a list of Evil Firefighters to keep with the theme of public safety personnel gone wrong. (In no order)
1. Matthew Plote, an Illinois volunteer firefighter who killed his pregnant wife, who was an EMT
2. Robert Lee Beckner, a West Virginia volunteer firefighter who set a fire that killed a firefighter in his own department
3. John Leonard Orr, a California fire captain and fire investigator who set nearly 2,000 fires and killed four people.
4. Eric Parsons, a New York volunteer firefighter who killed his entire family by setting their house on fire after an argument.
There are more out there, but I know these four off the top of my head.
