Would like to point out Mark that you criticized people who said “I won’t believe it until he’s holding the shirt” and you said “do you even know football? If you know football.. this is done”
Zubimendi obviously gave Liverpool assurances that he wanted the move initially but would have had to pay himself out of his contract. Need to correct Mark. It was a buy out clause not a release clause. The player had to activate the buyout clause and Liverpool could not activate that. Personally if a 25 yr old player coming into the peak of his playing years would prefer to earn £50k per week instead of the £150k per week Liverpool were offering and thinks Real Sociedad have a better chance of winning top honours than Liverpool you have to question the ambitions of the player as well as his business acumen with reference to his financial future.
Mark you dont understand the issue. The problem is not so much Zubimend not coming the issue is we are targeting high value players he has a release clause we could have got to this answer couple weeks, the euros ended a month ago. We been chasing a dm last 3 years. We not signing anyone.
Rejected?? The dude did a Stevie G, could've moved to Chelsea, was on the verge, then decided to stay with his hometown club. Disappointed we didn't sign Zubi, but zero problem with either him, his club, or Liverpool. If that was the case all top level players would be heading to Saudi, secondly playing for your boyhood club should be first priority for any professional even if it means he won't win many trophies. Gerrard and Totti are a testament to that
Nah mate reminds me he doesn’t want to be another scumbag
As a Liverpool fan , I’m worried , we not might be in the top 6 at end of season , the trauma, the pain, the suffering, the agony and the embarrassment.
You can see why klopp left. Same 💩 every season
Not like Man Utd not giving Moyes anything after SAF retired. Klopp left Liverpool in excellent shape, Man Utd needed a major overhaul.
One has to wonder what this man wants out of football, he has rejected bayern, Liverpool and many other high profile clubs recently, all to stay at a mid table spanish club. I appreciate it's his boyhood club, but it shows he has a distinct lack of ambition, as he will win nothing in his career
He doesn't want to leave Spain...
Did he win the euros with Spain?
@Dee78584 That makes no sense, as Barcelona made an offer to match the buy out clause and double his wages and he said NO to that also. So he doesn't want to leave his boyhood club
@MarkWinter99 He still gets to play in the national team regardless of what country he plays domestic football in. And he's been offered better money by Barcelona. So it's not spain he's bothered about, it's his boyhood club he doesn't want to leave
as a Liverpool fan I am not shocked, remember Colwill and Caceido last season, to be honest we don't really need him, but selling Cavahllo was a mistake.
Liverpool bloody lazy in the transfer market as usual.
Here's to hoping the 115 don't scoop him up.
You transformed your whole midfield last summer though
People's memories are short 😩
We don't have DM talking about memories @@robbiekop7
@@csl750victimpool City obsession is crazy😂
Liverpool are a mess. Next summer Salah, Van Dijk and Trent will leave on frees.
Deluded if u think trent leaves other 2 yeah but trent no
I think Trent will stay
@@adamt6604 Liverpool are lucky Salah and Van Dijk have been so loyal. 6 or 7 years and only one league title.
@@SN-ig2mlhe may not leave but I bet they give him big bucks which will cause a problem internally.
A mess? Do you actually watch football you clown?
Quite obvious this was going to happen. Turned down multiple offers from different clubs as he loves Sociedad. Hes not turning down Arsenal and then signing for Liverpool.
Zubi zubi doo where are you😂
😂🎉
As LFC fan I totally agree ,don’t wanna play for us then no worries don’t want half hearted players .👍🏻
Liverpool definitely have one of the worst owners I have seen
Definitely not.
Took us from minutes away from administration to delivering every title possible, one of the world's best managers, winning everything, finally delivering the prem title, exciting football, historic nights at Anfield, World record transfer fees, state of the art training facilities, redeveloped main stand n Annie Rd, sold but then bought back Melwood, and heading into yet another champions league season with high expectations..... Yeah, worst owners ever 🙄
Liverpool fans are so spoiled
@@alexjmurphy2145 Excellent put 👍
Klopp panic last year by buying Endo , you clearly see who is out of his depth and it cost us winning more trophies as there were better players what fit Klopp criteria as the number 6,
now Slot what a deep playmaking defensive midfielder, why did we not buy Mats Wieffer or Tijjani Reijnders both fit what Slot needs ,
Richard Hughes look out his depth so far
Thats not loyalty, that's a player with ZERO ambition.
Something he will come to regret at the end of his career, besides he will be 26 next year and Sociedad will probably have a stinker
Real sociedad made him have to trigger his own release clause and were being stubborn with negotiations (no hate to them but) I think it made it really hard for zubi who wanted to leave his boyhood in good regard
What a legend. Lets all laugh at Liverpool 🤣🤣🤣🤣You'll never be rejected alone 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Dare I ask what team u support
As a LFC fan, Richard Hughes made a total Horlicks of it. If you go in for Zubi and get the nod, you need to have your finger on the button, ready to trigger the release clause and have the personal jet on the runway. Instead we fannied around trying to haggle the payment structure and price
If zubi mentality is not ready to leave , the release clause isn't going to help him to play for a club who is attached to the previous one.
@@fwefization he must have indicated he was willing to leave or you just end things and walk away. Haggling over the structure of the deal (especially when you already know the price on the ticket) just gave Sociedad 3/4 days to work on persuading him to stay
I mean people say we looked stupid not managing to land coceido then end up with sobo and McAlister so.......
Not surprised due to how long they stalled, but that's also why I’m really annoyed. 5 days of the window when we tried to actually sign someone wasted.
It's like they can't make up their mind. Disgraceful!!
These past few windows really hurts! At this point i don't even know what pain is anymore! First Tchoumeni,Bellingham,Caicedo,Lavia and now Zubimendi😢
respect the loyalty more power to him
Oof the other day when people were laughing at man utd saying they used tonhave all the pull in getting big players in, and now its more liverpool... lmao 😂😂😂😂👍👍👍👍
I'm not a united fan. There is nothing to say to me, that gonna bother me.
Stay humble people!
Exactly Mark and you were saying it was signed, sealed and delivered. Weren’t you paying attention to last summer when Caceido and Lavia also were on the verge of signing and didn’t. Liverpool no longer that club where every player will jump at to sign for
Anymore.
I thought you said it was a done deal, but nothing is guaranteed until the contract is signed. Always thought it could fall through with his club being so desperate for him to stay. It would obviously have been good to get him, but I’m happy with what we’ve got and there is enough quality in the midfield.
Would like to point out Mark that you criticized people who said “I won’t believe it until he’s holding the shirt” and you said “do you even know football? If you know football.. this is done”
I saw a report saying he really wanted the move but his family didn’t feel ready to leave Spain
Zubimendi obviously gave Liverpool assurances that he wanted the move initially but would have had to pay himself out of his contract. Seems like Sociedad guilt tripped him in to staying for atleast another season. Liverpool's strength in identifying one perfect target is also their weakness when it doesn't come off.
No shock any player that takes that long to think about a transfer was never going to leave his club
I worked at the top of sports broadcasting for 20yrs and I've been telling people for a fortnight that there's no mission of Zubamendi coming, as it was dragging on too long and RS would use their tactics to get him to stay. It's a bad career choice by him tbh, but hey im sure LFC had a real chance to sign him but dropped the ball. It's become embarrassing, LFC negoiating team used be amazing and now they look like total clowns these past few windows... I have one conatact inside Anfield and I'll try and find out the mood in the camp after this lastest debacle.
Mate honestly you talk more sense than most liverpool fan youtubers. I dont want him if he dont want us, simple really and i wish the guy the best of luck.
We're not angry, we're just disappointed, but not surprised.
Absolutey gutted... top four now a big maybe 😢
Goldbridge: I can't speak
Also Goldbridge: 9 more minutes of non-stop speaking
Zumamendi was told by his club that he had to pay his own release clause before liverpool moved in
I agree completely! If he doesnt not want to come its his loss! At the end of the day he had the opportunity and did not take it!
Atletico Madrid threaten to CANCEL £33m Conor Gallagher transfer as they fume at Chelsea over failed Samu Omorodion deal
It's only a shock if you've already put up a video making out it's a done deal; then you get to put up another video about how shocked you are it isn't. But keep complaining about the MSM, Mr Talksport presenter.
I love the "I cant speak!" with you guys buying De Ligt and Yoro and us moving players on without bringing in anyone, next season feels like its gonna be tough.
Couldn't agree more Mark. Seeing all the Liverpool fans moaning at the owners, I am baffled. He didn't want to come to us. End of story.
Please get this right it was a buy out clause not a release clause, only the player can trigger it.
As soon as I watch his zubimendi video the other day and then realized the deal wasn't officially done, I knew it wouldn't happen
Real Sociedad said “he had to pay his buy out clause” to allow the move to happen, £51 Mil.
I can understand why it fell through in the end tbh
Not a single mention that w Arsenal signing Moreno, Sociedad didn’t want to lose both star midfielders. They clearly pushed hard to keep him.
Mark you dont understand the issue. The problem is not so much Zubimend not coming the issue is we are targeting high value players he has a release clause we could have got to this answer couple weeks, the euros ended a month ago. We been chasing a dm last 3 years. We not signing anyone.
When the deal was not completed in 2 days I clearly believed he'll reject Liverpool. Sociedad did force him to stay though.
Gutted. But...I don't want a player at LFC who doesn't want to be there. Great assessment as always 👍
Zubimendi was not obviously interested in joining Liverpool, he turned down arsenal earlier in the window.
As a Liverpool fan, I'm not dissapointed that he rejected us. I am that they don't want to look for someone else for DM. That's ridiculous
We’ll be fine without any signing but fine isn’t good enough if we want to stay at the top
Rejected?? The dude did a Stevie G, could've moved to Chelsea, was on the verge, then decided to stay with his hometown club. Disappointed we didn't sign Zubi, but zero problem with either him, his club, or Liverpool. Not like we could have a serious publicly-known Plan B, as that would've made Zubi less likely to come, and would've made the Plan B player feel crap if they were the same calibre and profile.
As a Liverpool fan I'm absolutely furious.
We desperately need signings!!!
Mark jinxed it with him, saying he's basically signed last week😅
Is the super6 league worldwide or just for england ?
Knew it was going to happen when there was no official announcement.
We need another defender more,I don’t know why we’re not not in for Geuhi
Bajcetic reached 8 at 17 years old,Zubimendi is 25 and still hasnt managed 8 yet.He might never reach 8 turn overs in 1 game. He has like 3 seasons left to try and hit 8 turn overs, i doubt if he will make it.
So WHY agree to a release clause in your contract if this is the path you go down, rejecting all the big clubs that have approached you
The deal was never done his done this 2 times now , but as not got the bottle to request to buy his contract boyhood emotional attached I think he will regret it. Not now but when he hangs his boots up😢
