Michael McDonald amazing voice 🎤with a awesome band💋💕
For me, the best song ever written (What A Fool Believes) start at 33:30

Vince Denham - Sax
Chuck Sabatino - Keyboards
George Perilli - Drums
Michael McDonald rocks in EVERY language! Hello von Amerika!
Wished there are artists and bands like him today.. (2015 June 26). Still Michael McDonald is one of the great artists that i adore. Great artist!
This guy is an amazing artist!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw him last Christmas and he still has it
The poignant element of this performance is that it features Mike's best friend the late Chuck Sabatino on keys. They started playing in bands together at 13 back in St Louis and Chuck gave Mike confidence on stage post the Dan and Doobs... now Mike was the front man and it didn't come naturally - he is a quiet guy in reality - Chuck backstopped his vocal and key playing. Other friends such as Robben Ford, Jeff Porcaro and Louis Johnson often appeared on stage with Mike during this period. This is the only decent video of Mike and Chuck together.
Bit of trivia - Bernie Chiaravalle is still with Mike today. He is a big Beetles fan and a couple of years back when the band played Liverpool, England he spontaneously broke into the main riff of Day Tripper about half way through the show. Mike stopped playing and just smiled at him - the audience went absolutely wild. A very nice touch which gained them even more fans.
The Beatles - Day Tripper
keyboard dude in the back can sing!!! Of course though, Michael is awesome.

Einzigartige Band !!! Besser gehts nicht.
Michael McDonald, king of soul. The black man in a white body.
Jesus this mans voice! 4:23 He knows he can sing Lawd.
could just be the recording or this particular piece. I saw him live back in March or this year (2013) and his voice was absolutely perfect...amazing considering he's 61 now....maybe he was just tired here, don't know

masterpieces n. 1
Prosting this gem.... Lobe
George is a great drummer, but he did not nail Keep Forgettin'...perfect example of a chops drummer that doesn't quite hit the pocket of this song. The magic of Jeff was that feel with the hats and his beat placement dynamics. I'm a Jeff homer I know, but man, so few can really play this song well...it dragged.
Jeff Porcaro Groove Master : no it didn't.....it was gr8...thanx George
***** Maybe Steve Gadd ?
Love this! Anyone know who the members of the band are? :)
good good
Mark Bunker on Sax
Chef Batali on keys.
who is that 2nd keys guys? He is great.
The late Chuck Sabatino. Played with A Full Moon Consort in the 70's. Had a stroke while playing for Mike in '94 died in '96. (Wikipedia)
What a voice!
That's Chuck Sabatino. He died in 1994 after having a stroke while he was performing with Michael McDonald. Great singer also!
toroddb Chuck had his stroke in 94, he died later in 96. He was Michael's high school buddy from St. Louis.
renu812 OK, thanks for clearing that out.
the sound engineer doesnt know what the hell he/she is doing at all...voice is up/down....not consistent at all
