Awesome stuff. I got beat by a SBG guy last competition and his mount was wicked. Now I'm here to learn

Without a doubt, the absolute best explanation and demonstration regarding mount that is out there . . . anywhere! I’ve far, far too many times abandoned mount because I lacked the knowledge how to better control my training partner. - much less attack him or her. This video changes that entirely. Thank you sooo much, I will be watching for your next seminar on this, or any - I plan to be there regardless of where it’s held and what you’re teaching!! Oh yeah, matt’smount registration is a DEFINITE!!!

Great information here! I have been teaching for about 6 years but have found it hard at times to convey a technique or concept that I tend to take for granted. Mount control is one of those things. I have found myself doing all of this but didn't really know I was and couldn't explain in detail to my students why their mount was not like mine. This video is gold.

And I can’t wait for The Mount instructional to be released. I’m still kicking myself for missing all the mount seminars of 2017.

thanks again coach matt. i wish i had you for an instructor. I love my gym, but his classes is him just saying put hand here hip here bridge repeat..never really gives you the foundation of understanding that makes things stick.

I disagree with just one thing, no disrespect. When Matt makes the other guy mount him and bridges him back where he came from, saying that's the side where the top guy is most vulnerable to getting bridged over. The way the guy is mounting Matt, with the far side underhook, meaning Matt has the arm trapped already on the far side, would make him more vulnerable to getting bridged over to the far side. Plus, his momentum is going to the far side anyways, thus making it easier to bridge him the far side taking advantage of that momentum. Besides this, all the other content is superb and very helpful. Thank you!
Ps. If you are mounting, good shoulder pressure would prevent the guy on bottom from rolling you over to the side you came from

I tried it, It took my partner less than 5 seconds to figure out go south. I didn't even get to try the dragon walk. After 3 times, I had to abandon this. Ugg, I suck lol.

When you teach a curriculum, do you teach the students one curriculum at a time from front to back or do you jump between positions?
