Billy Zane was amazing as the Colonel, Everyone in this movie was fantastic! I loved watching this movie back in the 90s it came on Showtime all the time!
GREAT Opening! Thanks for posting this. R.I.P. Woody Strode, one of the pioneering Black actors in old school Cowboy flicks. LOVE this movie and the soundtrack is BANGIN!!!!! That Intelligent Hoodlum cut STILL ROCKS HARD to this day!!!!!!!
Owned this one on VHS. Jesse was some shaht: lock-and-step with the very best shuters of his day or even prior to it. These old school shuters were superheroes or supervillians depending on what path they took. I liked Colonel Graham's villainous acting for the same reasons I enjoyed Dr. Doom's character in the 1st 2000s F4 movie. They both kjIIed that role where their normal calm voice/demeanor belies a real anger and contempt and--when they do finally look or sound a little angry--they are like a normal person that is about to snap on the inside! Very diplomatic villains. Little J, with those knives, with the silly prankster demeanor, and with that survivor-until-you-messed-his-friends attitude...Sheriff Bates was also so racially obnoxious and played the part so well that his obnoxiousness was very funny(as if he actually believes that?!). It's not the best of all time, but, certainly, a whole lot of fun!
Given the timeline, many of these soldiers could potentially fight in World War I. A gattling gun would be the least of their worries. Tanks, flamethrowers, planes, mustard gas, and grenades - all in less than twenty years.
Half of the original settlers of Los Angeles were what? Los Angeles was a small Mexican town, and when it became part of the states most of the American immigrants were white protestant settlers of the Midwest. and before that it belonged to Spain.
Hey buddy, search up black history of Los Angeles rather than spewing shit you want to hear. I really hate ignorant people that acts like they know what their talking about 🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️🤦🏿♂️ how tf you think blacks came to LA.

Yeah, they were black Mexicans
A Black man's version of "War & Peace". This movie didn't get the credit it deserves.
