wowww...amazing island!!! i still cant believe youre not in japan anymore haha i started following your journey around june this year and you guys motivated me to start cycling!! keep safe!!! so much love from philippines♥️
Bangkachao is considered a green oasis in Bangkok. It is well-known for local and expats living in the city. Relaxed ride can help you put away all your tensions in your working life. This coming Sunday is a small municipality local govt election day throughout the country. In Thailand, we have big municipalities (Bangkok, Pattaya, Chiangmai etc), medium municipality and small municipality (about 2000+) local govt, taking care of basic utilities such as piped water, local roads, garbage collection etc.
I’ve been 4 times to Bang Krachao. First visited by way of local bike tours and went on three different occasions. Last time, took the wife and we crossed by ferry and hired bikes there. Spent half day exploring. Never gets old.....
I like the escapade you all took especially the narrow road path alongside those houses. It's very different from Japan. Looking forward to more Thailand foldie bike ride.
Great to see you guys enjoying the backroads and more unpopulated paths to ride. I well assured that you will enjoy your stay at Chiang Mai. And not to mention, there is a group ride kinda guide there that has great reviews.
Gives me good memories of my time in BKK. I lived there for over 2 years. Been to all the cycling places, you've been so far. If you want to try more places, I highly recommend Wachirabenchathat Park (alias Rod Fai Park) in the Chatuchak area, which was my favorite for cycling.
And the plan to never have a plan works out once again. Amazing island with all those narrow paths and drops to either side. Such a unique place and so different from what 99% of western tourists would see.
That was a great day trip & seems to be the more relaxed cycling vibe you were hoping for. (BTW, It would be really nice to hear Thuong more, either in translated Japanese or English.)
@gl l I _would not_ presume that. We'll see how/if she chooses to participate. Maybe she's not in the mood or tired, since she also has her own UA-cam channel that she runs.
@@TwoWheelCruise I get that. The way you display your translations over the video makes it feasible (for me) to follow the dialog. Maybe employ that a little more often so Thuong is generally in the loop(?).
How do you prefer the Mobot Royale vs the Dahon Hit? I'm thinking of getting a folding bike in japan and the Dahon is very reasonably priced. That Royale folding looks very convenient though!
Cruise, are you going to do anything on Cycle shops in Thailand ? if i ever get back that way( used to visit Twice a year) I'm planning a cycle trip along the Mekong. was thinking maybe buying a Fold up bike when i get there.Would be interesting to see what the prices are lie.
I'm glad you didn't miss visiting the park. It can be said that this park is a highlight that is worth a visit. If you're lucky, you'll see an alligator-sized monitor lizard crawling on the road.
Have you guys gotten any flat tires yet? I have a Brompton and I’m not that mechanic incline and take my Brompton to a Brompton bike shop to change flat tire especially the rear tire which is kinda tricky. Do you guys change the tire yourself or bring it to a bike shop with your Brompton clone bike? Does the bike shop have your tires and tubes?
Great ride guys, you never disappoint, those narrow paths are a bit challenging to say the least, one slip and 😲🤕, had lots of fun watching this one, love all that greenery, very tropical, thanks and may the fun continue…
Since you have lived there for some time, why don't you give your in-depth impression on cycling/living in Thailand vs Japan. Living expense, lifestyle, people, vibe, your preference.
I used to cycle in the original part of Bangkok, same kind of narrow walkways, it was a blast. And my wife taught me a trick if you get chased by a dog just pull out your pump, they think it’s a stick and it should stop them!
Since you able to cycle in bang kachao. U can do a walking video to the Betta fish center.. that unique in BKK . Also I recommend to Pak Nee. U can do a walking vid there. Then u will know that Bangkok is a port city too.. 👍
That's a perfect place for crit racing everyone goes mario cart either you get dropped or get plunged LoL. It's a nice thing to see you two having fun with the ride and route :)
Sure looks like the two of you are having so much fun. I am envious and wish I was there. The temp has warmed up in whitehorse to -4c which is better than the -27c two days ago. I am cycling vicariously through your videos. thanks for sharing
I’ll be in Bangkok in a week so looking forward to renting a bicycle there again for the afternoon. Definitely wouldn’t want to be cycling those main city roads, though!
Look so nice. Due to COVID, it's hard to go abroad as travel. Your video makes me feel that I'm in travel in Thai.Thank you. By the way, I worry that your bike becomes rust because of high humid. Did you do anything to prevent rust?
Very interesting little trip, so much to see. In my year of living in Thailand 50 years ago I only ever saw two dogs and they were very sad specimens. I’m glad to see they are fairly common there now, and wow on the Husky in that climate. when I went there I expected to see lots of cats, you know Siamese cats! Never saw a single cat in a little over a year. Sometimes places are different to our expectations, sometimes for the better. Keep riding.
Nice to see you enjoying a bit of action outside the city. The pickup truck with the music was possibly selling fruit, vegetables or plastic furniture? I can imagine this from having lived in various parts of the world myself. Keep pedalling!
Awesome ride and views! I get easily disoriented with anything elevated so I would definitely be shaky passing through those narrow backroad canal paths. Dogs are usually part of a biker's training program here in the Philippines -- great chance to practice sprinting when they start chasing you 🤣
Now that really was a lovely ride, especially those narrow leafy side lanes ! Pity you had to get back to the noisy congested city. Like you, I also hope that in the not too distant future you will be able to have your own comfortable home with a bit of land to have a good life together.
If you've enough time for BKK cycling, Koh Kret (island in the Chao Praya river in the west of BKK) might be interesting as well, no cars on the island and you can cycle around it. It might be too small for you guys (maybe only 20 - 30 minutes cycling) but nice (coffee) shops.
Just a observation: I got caught up in saying " not to bad " try saying pretty good instead. Like your videos very much. Not intended as a knock, just a habit I quess.
@@TwoWheelCruise Great. I lived there for five years before I married a Thai and moved to her home in the countryside. Your videos there will make me nostalgic.
Why don't they have rails both sides of the paths? That looks dangerous. I think they are elevated due to flood water maybe, I have a theory that a politician made good to have them made and was putting in the railing then lost the next vote. I don't mind dogs if they leave me alone. Nice park. Right now we have storm Barra in the UK, high winds and rain with snow in the hills.
I appreciate these videos but have to wonder about the Royale bikes. I doubt that Brompton allowed the rebranding of their intellectual property. What’s the story?
if you see that thailand is not to your liking, you may wish to check out Malaysia, the country is super clean, very well organized and the people follow the law and are very helpful, 99.9 % of the people speak english and are very well educated , the food is nearly as good as thai food and yes it is a Muslim country ( but they are super relaxed about it ) and foreigners are welcome, also half the price of thailand !!! also mai owl nam kay is no need ice and mai owl nam tan is no need sugar.
😂 You will get use to that political truck soon. They have a lot in Chiang Mai. Actually it a type of old school advertisement, like election, new shop open, new product launch, event, fair. Bang Kachao vibe is almost the same as rural area of Chiang Mai though.

Lots of standing water, who knows how many insects.

Lovely ride in an island in Bangkok. I will go for the lovely ride when in Bangkok. Thks. Have a nice day in Bangkok. Take care..🙂

Such an awesome contrast to the city, those canal paths were beyond amazing, especially the last one ending at the river :)
Completely different and a beautiful ending :)
Thank you You Tube video that is exploring Thailand, not reviewing brands of beer and noodle soup!

Hi. My 1st attempt riding in bbk .
Any rental bike for 2 days ? Thank u.
Did a similar trip with ABC Bicycles yrs. ago. Remember some narrow pathways and saw the odd monitor lizard. Great to see another part of BKK.
Glad you enjoyed :)
How do you prefer the Mobot Royale vs the Dahon Hit? I'm thinking of getting a folding bike in japan and the Dahon is very reasonably priced. That Royale folding looks very convenient though!
Dahon HIT rides better IMO, but Royale folds down more and easy to role / transport

Not bad now :)
Best case and bar mount is quad lock. I have used it on my hybrid and mountain bike super secure.
