I dont understand much about motorcross, or anything at all for that matter, but the revs sound awfully low as if it would stall if you stopped reving. Or do all fourstrokes sound like that?

i actually now have a crf250 as the yzf didnt have enough power for me, i cant remember the last time i used second, 3rd is my pulling away gear, and i wudnt be jealous if i was riding a rm125 cuz i actually open the throttle more than half way
This bike is a winner the huskys are not built to be ridden like this expensive tho but its not built for agresive tracks it seemed the husky got beaten by a kawsaki very cheap bike tho £6000 not a bad price concidering its built for rough racers
Sounds like it's supercharged? Do you even know what that means, but this bike sounds horrible. It very clearly needs a valve adjustment and various other things.
Foster Rich Another one who knows everything,this bike its now 6 years old,and it had valves adjusted about 7 times so far,and many parts replaced,still sounds great,but You probably know this sound just from UA-cam,so your comment dosent mean anything.
shandon williams Yes the Kxf are a little faster but the honda has more acceleration and horsepower so it would win in a competition race, Not drag race
Nathan Hobbs even if it does have better acceleration its because its a little lighter, and different gearing. but i doubt it has more hp then the kxf.
Nathan Hobbs go look at dirt rider mag. They review all 5 450s in 2014 the yzf won and second came the kxf and they all say the kxf engine is the strongest. But almost every year they say the crfs have a better frame/ handle better. In 2012 and 2013 I think the kxf won for the 250 and 450.

I just bought one way to much bike for me an it has stage 2 hot cams an a high compression piston but I'm stuck with it now just hope I can learn to Handel it
find some sand dunes or a corn field and try and top it out in a straight line. it will give you a feeling for how the bike reacts in all the gears and makes the bike seem less scary
shane joseph if i had $1.00 for every squid that belongs on a 250F that went out and bought a 450F i would be rich. i have been there myself. get a bigger rear sprocket and put the stage II Hot Cams up for trade for an OEM cam that will tame it plenty for you. or list it on Craigslist for straight trade for a built 250F. you will be twice as fast on a 250. smaller, lighter and it won't rip your arms off and chew through chains & sprockets every 6 rides

how tall r u im looking to get a 450 and im 5-9 and 14 but i want a bike i can have 4 a long time and not grow out of do u think it will fit me? i road a kx 250 and it fit me fine but i heard that the 450 isnt much bigger nice video btw
Nice bike too bad u didnt have the space to open her up poor girl was struggling at those rpm 450 power is the go if u have the weight to get the power down I'm about 85kg so the crf450 gives me a go for my money
So, I have this bike. With a power bomb header and a slip on exhaust. That whistle you hear at lower RPM's, is that normal? I've been told to check my air filter, but I'm not sure.
Scott Stranne yes the chirp from the valves at low rpm is normal with every 450cc... your valves are probably a little of spec but if you have good compression and the bike fires up cold within 1-2 kicks then you are fine for now. if you notice big loss of compression within the next 15hrs of riding then get the valves shimmed (costs $85 and you'll have more power and compression)) or do them yourself. and of course you should always check your air filter after every ride for rips, before you clean and re-oil it

If your only 14 and want to get a motocrosser i advise a ktm 125/150 2 stroke plenty of power and easy to chuck about

3rd wide open gets you off the ground, I started changing gears in the air coming in with gear four landing and dumping it on five.

Kxf are faster than Hondas I believe. Even the kx250f vs the crf250r I think the kx is faster.

ride some single track or harescrambles and you'll develop the skills
