What i like about Parc Asterix is that all their coaster layouts are unique in the world while most parks usually have the same coasters with the same layouts with small differences like the paint scheme.
The Taron influences are unmistakable. And damn, what a magnificent spectacle it provides! Stellar work by both Intamin and Parc Astérix, can't wait to catch a ride this summer!
@NotPennysBoat oh yeah, on terms of elements it's got that awesome reverse spike and some snappy outer banks, but I'm also talking in terms of theming. The entrance, queue and that first launch in a trench with some wooden beams over your head just give me massive flashbacks, amongst some other things as well. And I'm sure it's intentional.
The park has said before that a big decisive factor in choosing Intamin for their major new investment was how impressed they were with Taron, so it's cool the ride is sprinkled with these little touches and nods to its original source of inspiration, while switching up the layout for a mix of Taron, Pantheon, Velocicoaster and some original ideas of its own.
I'm a little bit concerned Intamin is going to become slightly too over reliant on reusing the same elements and tricks on all their new coasters (the one under cunstruction in Spain also does that reverse spike thingy), so hopefully they keep switching things up, but if Kondaa is any indication, I can't wait what further surprises they have up their sleeve

Wow! The theming on this is absolutely incredible. And the ride looks fantastic! I remember when Intimin announced this at IAAPA back in 2018 and I thought then that it was going to be at the top of most people's coaster lists. Now, I know that it will be top 3 if not #1. They really knocked it out of the park with this one!! Now, I have to save up some money for a trip to Parc Asterix...
Just 'un petit peu' more landscaping and this ride will be perfect. It's already (as the man on the ride said) 'incroyable'.
Serious world class coaster. Theming and storyline also looks amazing. Love all the cartoon-style rock work.

Pour l'avoir tester, j'affirme que c'est une masterclass pure et dure à 100%. La zone est vraiment belle mais surtout l'accueil des wagons qui est vraiment incroyable avec effets sonores et visuels pour du pure plaisir
So much Celtic influence with the dolmen on top of the hill and the music. (A dolmen is an ancient tomb, with many found in Ireland)

Cool video！ I'd record the horizon lock in a wider angle though to really see the train move around. The horizon lock effect kind of dies when the train is no longer in the picture it ends up just looking like a POV

Merci pour la vidéo. C’est une ouverture du parc spéciale pour des visiteurs triés sur le volet ? En tout cas la thématisation est vraiment chouette (Les 36 M€ investis sont visibles). J’espère qu’elle endurera sans trop de difficultés les affres de la météo...
Les détenteurs de passeports annuels peuvent se voir proposer une journée de répétition générale avant l'ouverture du parc le samedi 8 avril. Les places sont limités (premier arrivé, premier servit). Cette journée est un extra/cadeau, car non inscrit comme avantage.

The official On Ride POV is running 8 seconds faster. Parc Asterix must have manupulated the footage, just compare the videos.
