- Ukraine is focused on the evacuation of civilians in settlements under Russian attack as Russian forces have finally slowed down after their initial push on this new front began a week ago. Russia's Belbak airfield was destroyed again after a massive ATACMS strike hit the base over two successive nights. The Prime Minister of Slovakia, Fico, has survived an assassination attempt from a pro-Russian nationalist.

Actually, yes, I have been reflecting on this for most of the week. I think that one of the reasons why this fundraiser has gone so well is that people trust Jake. He has the track record of dedicated support for Ukraine even through the darkest times last year when it felt like those of us doing what we could to support Ukraine were the crazy outsiders, the minority of nutters. Jake kept firm and kept strong and never lost his stride even though at times he was in a very dark place. That leadership buys a lot of credibility and people are willing to trust their donations to a guy like that. I know that I do and I did when I donated to this fundraiser.

So let me get this straight: Ukraine can't use western munitions to attack russian territory, meanwhile Russia is stopping traffic on public roads in Belgorod to launch MLRS toward Kharkiv - right next to hundreds of their own civillians on the road. What part of this makes sense?

I believe other European countries also had that policy. I believe that is no longer the case with France and the UK. Blinken's stating "We have not encouraged or enabled strikes outside of Ukraine, but ultimately Ukraine has to make decisions for itself about how it's going to conduct this war," I would take that it is no longer the case with the US.
I believe Blinken has more or less rescinded it recently.

Well, considering that Russia is using Iranian-made drones to bomb civilian infrastructure, and civilians in Ukraine, I think it is therefore perfectly okay if Ukraine uses US missiles to strike targets in Russia, if Russia complains about that then it just shows how hypocritical the Russians are.
I am an American citizen and I say Ukraine must be able to prosecute this war in the most effective way possible, including using ANY weapons in any manner necessary.

Seniors are vulnerable without a war, their lives and lifetime memories are often tied to their home. Plus their home and neighbours are often their safety and their security to them. It is incredibly hard for these seniors to set off walking with little belongings they can carry in order to save their lives as their home and village are being bombed.

The 69th actually contacted me over a year ago but I just didn't know who they were or anything about them, so I declined. But the fact that so many other UA-camrs have worked with them (Artur Rehi, Anna From Ukraine, Ukraine Matters, Operator Starsky) it made me feel confident they were legitimate. There are countless videos of their convoys delivering over 400 trucks to Ukraine. They are a great group of guys doing amazing work to support Ukraine!

@@erikdexter3100 America pledged to guarantee Ukraine’s ‘political independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity’ in the Budapest Memorandum of 1993 and in return Ukraine gave up its nukes to Russia.
The USA doesn't have a duty to support or defend democracy. It is however in our interest to do so. We profit immensely from a peaceful world in which trade flows. Our economy has outperformed all others because of this.
More importantly, if Europe was a superpower, we'd have no issues with that, but they are far too bureaucratic and divided to ever be that. The only countries that could become superpowers are Russia and China, and they will pose a threat to us. If Russia devours Ukraine, and adds 40 million people to their own country, and forcefully merges Ukraine's army (second largest in Europe) with their own (largest in Europe), that's isn't going to be a good thing for anybody, particularly not for us.
It's not about protecting democracy. It's about protecting our interests and avoiding another world war.

Since February 24/22 I have felt desperate, helpless and useless in not being able, because of circumstance, to do more in the aid for Ukraine. But knowing that I am but one brick in this massive fund raising wall that Jake has built , makes me damn proud to be part of the contribution team. Yes I have donated for trucks and drones in the past, but this is special. To all fellow donators, YOU HAVE DONE YOURSELVES PROUD. MUGA! SLAVA UKRAINI !!!!

I would love it if some major networks picked up your fundraising story and interviewed you about it. It would show the NATO members that people around the globe want to provide serious help to Ukraine and not just give lip service to it.
It makes me so angry when I see the elderly running for their lives at a time when you're in your old age you should at home enjoying peace and the little that you have to enjoy life and peace and quiet. It makes no sense that one man and his ego want to make lives miserable for so many.
