I really really like your time lapses, this feels super productive, motivates me a lot to get to my chinese class notes that need urgent clean ups :D ♥ have a good one!
hey! i just got one recently during winter reading week and so far i think it's been a really good investment. since i got it in the middle of the semester, i didn't want to change all my note-taking methods that I already established for my courses so i haven't been using it as much as I will be in the future. i really like handwriting my notes - so that means having notebooks and print outs of lecture slides etc. the ipad lets you go paperless which means better organization, no worries of losing things, easier access and the ability to move information around more efficiently. another thing i really like is how easy it is to do practice tests directly on it! that being said, i don't think that it is a necessity - notebooks work just fine and if you prefer typing, a better laptop might be a better investment, but it really depends on if you have the budget/what methods of notetaking work best for you! a lot of people have asked me to make a video going more in-depth about how i use my ipad for academics so that might be coming soon if you're interested :)
@@AllieC During lectures do you think it is possible to keep up by taking notes on an iPad? Just wondering because I'm coming to Mac this Fall and I'm trying to figure out if the professors go fast during lectures.
for most classes, i don't think any form of notetaking from scratch will be fast enough to catch all the content. the majority of the time, profs will post the lecture slides in advance so you can make skeleton notes from that before class and then add onto them, or you can directly annotate them in lecture and then go back and make notes afterwards! depending on the class, lectures may also be podcasted for you to go back and reference later on.
heyyyyy … omg stay safe hopefully everything becomes alright sooon I just had a few questions.. in health science do you have to apply for second year courses like they say we have to do in life science?? what are the main courses you studied in first year...?and what courses do you want to take up in second year ?? also..when s your birthday?? sorry for excessive amount of qs… ly!
hi! no you don’t - you’re automatically in the core bhsc program unless you want to specialize in child health in which you need to apply. this year, i took chemistry, cellular & molecular biology, and several other health sci required courses (that you can find info on the bhsc website) as well as compsci and psych as electives! other than the required courses, i’m not sure what i’m going be taking next year :) my birthday is in august xx
Hey Ally! I love watching your videos because they are very inspirational! I want to take health science at Mac but I am taking University level courses not IB, would it still be possible to do well in that program? Please respond it’s really urgent! Thank you!
hey! glad you're enjoying them xx a lot of my friends/classmates chose to take physics as an easy elective but i did higher level (IB) physics in high school and honestly it's not an experience I would like to go through again in the near future so i decided against it haha :)
Your videos are so fun to watch! McMaster is in my top two for next year and your videos definitely contributed to that idea😂 thank you!!
yay glad you're enjoying them! :)
