Thanks for taking the time to reply Zoltan. The problem with mine could have been a one-off, I don't know and BetaFPV never stepped up to try and help resolve it. All I had to base my review on was the one sample that I purchased myself. Statistically a sample size of one is meaningless so you're doing the right thing by checking other reviews and would encourage everyone that's interested in this quad to do the same. I think they're on the right track with the HX100, they just need up their QC game, get back to customers that have issues, and fix the obvious little things I mentioned in the video. Have a good one!
Great review. Add a little capacitor to help clean up the video. Also from my understanding the quad blade props are for 3s and the 65mm props are for 2s. I could be wrong tho.
Thanks! I didn't try flying it with the quad blade props but it flew better on 3s with the 65mm bi-blade IMO. Current didn't get anywhere close to the 12A/motor. Peace!
Great vid mate, I have very similar thing with 2 new Hx100s that i just got. I bnf the first one to see the camera go very poor.. Tried different battery, tried different goggles. Second one i unsealed box and i just plugged in the battery and watched the camera to test. After a minute rapidly deteriorated to dark grainy green. Have you tested just keeping the quad close? I emailed them too - looks like not a good buy atm
I never received a response to my support request email from Humquad. I did try flying it again this weekend and the signal was a little bit better. My hardware didn't change and I'm wondering if this is a thermal issue with the VTX on top of that poor antenna orientation. It was cooler than when I first tested it. Nevertheless it was still way worse than my Trashcan and Primo which I also flew. I did do a close-range test previously; it only took a few meters before the signal would start to deteriorate. Thanks for the kind words. My first UA-cam "review". Hope you get the issues resolved with your two! Peace
Well this is strange, my notifications show another reply from you but I can't find the full text anywhere. I never did get a reply from BetaFPV. I ended up sending back the quad. I just finished a DIY 85X HD that I'm also making a swappable non-HD canopy for. Additionally, I purchased a GepRC 12A AIO and HM+ that I'll build up another Primo frame with.
other HX100 DVR videos on youtube has no such a noise you've mentioned. actually lots of people opinion, this is the best Toothpick quad out there
