I could barely find any complete showings of these older ones the other day, now i found '95 through '99 and a bunch in the 2000s. THANK YOU. This is the year i started recording these on VHS (still have them all, but i missed '09 and '10), but no vcr. Time for a marathon ! Oh i just subscribed too .
He was probably the greatest 2nd baseman of all time. But he was a terrible announcer. The funniest website in the history of the internet believed the same thing.
@@tomshea8382yup I'm from Cincinnati born 1979. Back in 80s we had Johnny Bench on TV and Marty and Joe (the greatest ever in my opinion)on radio but when I'd hear Morgan on ESPN I was never a fan. Not as bad as Tim Mccarver though. I'll never forgive him for the way he casted the 1990 world series
the ballpark in arlington which is now choctaw stadium in arlington the home of your texas rangers from 1994 - 2019 for 26 years and seasons so thank you so much.
Ron Gant with the 1995 Reds was good time. 1994 killed it all for me though. Reds were doing awesome and Kevin Mitchell was doing great. (We got a dog in June 94 and named him Mitchell) And also Paul Oneil, who i still loved was tearing up the American League
and now this year 2024 your 2023 world series champion texas rangers are hosting the mlb all star game for the second time here in north texas the dallas fort worth area so thank you so much.
Thank you so much for the upload. Dude I could watch this stuff all day. I grew up with these guys.. except why the hell can't they tell us the distance!?!! A couple of those Cecil bombs had to be 500 ft
BigDaddyRice1 ...that stadium was only a year old in this video and they already tore it down...it was a very nice stadium....corporate greed at its finest
@@NatTurnerswitBurnerz I used roids in college, it made a HUGE difference. I went from hitting .150 to .450 with the exact same work ethic. You get stronger and somehow just lock into the ball.
This format was grand timeless baseball. HRD sucks now, they are swinging before the ball before it has even landed. Manfred screwing up baseball more and more every day.

RIP to the greatest 2nd baseman of all time Joe Morgan. I think he almost enjoyed calling the games more than playing them

I was at this derby.. was visiting my cousins in Dallas.. I'm from NY and that heat was unbearable that day even for people who were used to it
I've been looking for this for years. Got to love the big hurt! Thanks for adding.

Frank and Albert, 2 great players in the history of the game.
thank you for the upload..i was 12 years old back then and i clearly remembered this homerun derby a total classic
Now this is the classic home run derby I remember. I loved it until they changed the rules a couple of years ago.
You mean with the running clock? Yeah I didn't like that at first, I loved this format, but we've had some exciting rounds with the current one.
Freaking love your name lol
Seems so weird this was once a mid-day, edited, non-sold-out event once upon a time.
I'd rather go to the homerun derby than the All-star game.
Love that the old commercials are still in here. That's Jim Gaffigan at 43:02.
He was so skinny! Musta been before he started eating Hot Pockets.
These commercials are making me reminisce on my childhood
7:20
Dang the Mad Crab restaurant looks dope

Joe morgan could tell you how when where and why paint dries

Crazy thing is that Joe Morgan makes things 1000 times more interesting than Jessica Mendoza. Let that sink in.
Yesss!!! I had these on tape, thanks!!!! Saw you posted 97 too!!!
So much talent! Thank You for the add :)

Man i miss the 90s
Those times are unfortunately gone forever...
The future does NOT, look bright...
I wish they'd have another All Star game in Arlington before the new stadium opens. Great place for a derby
BigDaddyRice1 ...that stadium was only a year old in this video and they already tore it down...it was a very nice stadium....corporate greed at its finest
It's just hot af. If you can max out the number of people who would want to show up you should
@@justanothergoy5900 yup, now we got "the Grill" (design looks like it from the outside Lol) with a retractable roof, for those extra hot days.
Albert was a beast one day that will be me
Frank Thomas is my favorite player of all time. Glad to have been a Chicagoan growing up!
Thanks bro, been looking for these for a while
They should get an extra point for second deck ...2 xtra points for 3rd deck
I thought I remembered sosa had a different stance before the hr explosion he had in 98. His stance later in the 90's looked more like Albert belle's.
16:23-17:19 Remember when Espn2 would actually show The Running Of The Bulls?
I was there!
1:26:45 Amazing
Those aren't special effects either. It really was so hot that flames were coming out of the field. 104°F during game time. Ouch.
I can't believe how small Sosa was in 95. He probably gained 30 lbs of muscle by 98.
Steroids idiot.
Steroids and a corked bat
I knew guys that played with him in the Minors….. He’s big here compared to his Minor League years.
Sammy Say It Aint Sosa
Toothpick Sammy
Baseball misses steroids..
You're extremely naïve if you think steroids went anywhere.

Albert was hitting those 475’+ 430’? Mannys 25:05 was 420’
No Buhner?
Didn't recognize Manny at all. He had a very different look in the second part of his career.
Just a youngin' Yeah he got silly much later on (still could hit though). Too bad he might not ever make the Hall of Fame.
Thanks for uploading this.
Would you happen to have a copy of the 2000 home run derby?
It's on here
Back Back Back Back, Gone
Mondesi really struggled at the beginning 4:40
i am making a play list of all home run derbys check out what i have
Most of them are online here, I still can't find 2003 or 2004 which were also really good. I'll have to check, thanks!
Before steroids, strike out in a home run derby...
After steroids, hit 70+ homers in a season...
Hhhhhhhmmmmmm....

This is when the league was played by alpha males
These pitchers are complete A$$
