Also another point is it is the only savage alliance raid in the whole game! I am doing drs weekly now and i am mostly the top DPS and did my first duel before second entrapment with no slip ups! It is underrated and defo worth the time to try out!
@@VesperXIV ngl for a clear, you only need a pure and a few lost actions! I know a lot of new people always ask me if Valour matters and just for a simple clear it doesn’t at all, you can clear without any valour! Also, preparation is the fun part and makes it more something you need go out and farm fragments for or buy fragments (god bless CLL fragment prices on primal are atrocious 🥴), making it more of a unique experience!
@@AKozX You can totally clear without farming valors - completely agree, though they can really come in handy. Generally speaking DPS get away with a lot as they don't need to bring many actions, but if you are a tank or healer you holster is packed with lots of different things. But I totally agree that the prep and stuff is all part of the fun ^-^
DRS reminds me a lot of Vagrant Story which is one of my favorite games of all time. Having a raid like this which acts like a sequel to that game really made me happy. Like the game it draws inspiration from, DRS is so much fun and unique! I hope we get more of this kind of content in Endwalker. Also I wanted to thank you Vesper for the fantastic video guides. Keep up the good work!
Only missed reason I can think of is farming for the Augmented Law’s Order gear to give you the additional Haste bonus over the Augmented Bozja gear. Aug Bozja gear already makes your GCD way faster, especially on stuff like Ninja Monk and Samurai, but the Law’s Order augmented gear makes it even faster. This could help with duels or just farming for fragments for marketboard sale if you like. Some jobs play WAY different with that haste bonus. Reaper is actually tolerable at 80 with the faster GCD
I got my clear two weeks ago i had so much fun running it yet sadly i died multiple times to crazy mechanics lol right now I'm totally focusing on getting the three Zadnor buffs to max so i can go again & try my best to learn mechanics. I'm extremely happy to finally getting the Cerberus mount love how my character stands & points when we run/fly on it. However i have to admit that Castrum Lacus Litore Cerberus color & skin pattern looks way cooler than our DRS variant. Which makes me want to wish if we could get different skins to choose from for each mount in ffxiv.
I've only cleared once for Cerberus, but in the near month it took to clear I found something that truly is not like the rest of the game despite all the hardship and frustration- in fact because of the hardship forming camaraderie. I'm even considering going back in just because it feels like a genuine challenge and spectacle for how many people you become involved with. It has the spirit of creative gameplay and nessesary harmony in the teamwork required that the rest of the game has been lacking for a few years now imo. Clearing it was what I imagine doing crack is like; genuine old school MMO vibes. I think I'm gonna go rejoin my clear team Discord now 🤔🤩
I am currently in a DRS prog group (tomorrow will be our third day and we got to 15% on queen enrage on our second, so everyone thinks we'll clear) specifically for the cerberus mount. I thought that, as soon as I got the mount, i would never do DRS again. But my experience doing the raid so far has been so positive and fun that I'm considering running it more afterwards for the gear! It's such unique content, and there's something so charming about fighting alongside 47 other people in such a unique and difficult instance. Not to mention the sense of accomplishment is immense and just like what you feel after completing a savage tier. My Primal DC DRS static uses your videos as guides for the content, and as a visual person I just want to say: Thank. You. So. Much! Your videos have helped me and so many others immensely! When we get the clear, it will be thanks to you and the absolute legends who made the chess and swords mini games. You're doing god's work! I will finally get my three-headed good boy after many months of procrastinating because of your videos

Honestly, my advice would to be join a discord server that is already providing runs on your Data Centre. Most likely a quick google search, or checking Party Finder in game for DRS discord server advertisements will turn up some results^^

I agree! I feel like a lot of people are put off with all the prerequisite stuff like doing Bozja and such, but it's well worth the investment imo!

Very good point! I remember playing WHM with full DRS BIS felt super speedy in Shadowbringers compared to it's old GCD^^
