As to why Chloe threw out Lucifer's blood, I feel the eggs joke sums up quite nicely. Her logic is telling her there must be a mundane explanation to Lucifer's mystery (Lucifer is just crazy), her gut feeling tells her there is something more to it (Amenadiel's explanation is just too convenient), but finally, her emotional need for Lucifer's company won (she needs the "eggs"). And as she witnessed Lucifer's valuable side when he told his story, and consider the length of Amenadiel willing to do to keep Lucifer's "secret", Chloe is more than willing to let Lucifer tells her on his own turn. And in the end, just like the eggs joke, why take it too seriously if everything works better with Lucifer around than he is not.
Introduction of Ella!
If you watched supernatural you would know, the female character playing lucifers mom was in an episode in supernaturals earlier season,she was a trapped spirit trying to find her husband. The show runner casted many characters from the supernatural tv series

Aimee Garcia (Ella) showed up in season 3 of Supernatural, Jus in Bello was the episode. She also played the spoiled brat niece in the George Lopez show.

I believe that Ella was supposed to be Dan's replacement, and keeping him on the show was a last-minute decision, which is why it seems a bit contrived. Season two does start a little slow, but once it gets going (which is soon), it is a _wild_ ride!

First... What a phenomenal singer Lucifer is... and it's all thanks to Tom Ellis. His voice is phenomenal. I absolutely love it. And the song he sings in the end of this episode is titled, All Along the Watchtower, originally sung and written by Jimi Hendrix. I love this song!! And while Tom doesn't actually play the piano onscreen as well as his character does like we're led to believe, he's currently learning how to play the piano so that he can actually become good at doing so, and maybe be the one seen playing in later seasons, not the hands of his stand in. Maybe in season five he will be able to be the one actually playing for himself, if he hasn't started playing for himself already. As for the music Lucifer sings and plays... most of the songs are a reference of some kind to himself... to the Devil, or to Hell, which I think is fantastic too. I absolutely love the music throughout this entire series sung by Tom Ellis, and if there is ever a CD available to buy with all of his songs, I would definitely buy it.
Now... some of the big sets within the show have now changed because this show has been given bigger budget, and they've moved from filming in Vancouver, Canada... to being able to finally film in Los Angeles like they've wanted to be able to do since they began filming season one, yet couldn't do so until season two. Mainly the police precinct, as well as Lucifer's penthouse have been changed, and I really love the changes, especially in Lucifer's penthouse. Just fantastic! :)
Also... I don't know if you've noticed, but in every episode except for in the Pilot episode, one of the characters always drops the title of the episode in with their lines somewhere throughout each episode. 90% of the time, it's Lucifer who quotes the title like he does so in episode one of season two. However, once in awhile... it's another character who will say the title instead. Everyone who watches this show is eager to see where and when the title will be dropped and it's a lot of fun. :)
Now, as for this episode itself... I really like it overall. It's not one of my favorites, but I love how this episode focuses so much on Lucifer's relationship with his mother, and his fear of her. I love that while Lucifer keeps up a mask of anger and even hatred for her, we also get to see his pain once again from him being abandoned by her, and upon hearing that when he was cast out of Heaven and into Hell by his father, she never lifted a finger to protect him. Which leads to Lucifer never lifting a finger to help her when God cast her down into Hell to become one of Lucifer's prisoners for reasons yet to be explained. I certainly can't blame Lucifer for being so hurt by his mother's actions because no matter what he's done, like any child... he certainly didn't deserve to be shunned and ignored by her. And now that she's escaped Hell, I can certainly understand his fear too. Now she's finally found him as she arrives at his home so... what is she gonna do? I'm excited for you to see all that's to come! :)
My favorite moment throughout this episode is the ending between Lucifer and Chloe, when she tells Lucifer that no matter how crazy or not crazy he may appear to be with his so called Devil persona he's built up for himself like Amenadiel attempted to get her to believe, she still believes wholeheartedly that he makes her a better detective because he allows for her to see the crimes and evidence in a way no one else can. And it's true. They both help each other in ways no one else can or have ever been able to. And this is way I feel Chloe simply throws away Lucifer's blood in the end too. Because she is afraid of finding out the truth. If Lucifer is proven to really be the Devil, she would be afraid of him, and if he is proven to be just crazy, then she might feel the need to turn him into the psych ward. However, she doesn't do either because she wants to keep working with Lucifer and because she cares about him. Chloe chooses to remain oblivious to the truth, because she doesn't want to know it any longer. She wants to protect him. And I absolutely love it.
As for her joke about the guy refusing to turn his brother in because he needs the eggs... a chicken provides eggs and if the guy were to kill the chicken, then he would lose the eggs. Chloe is comparing Lucifer to the chicken, given that he helps her more than he's hurting her and she doesn't want to lose him. Hence... she needs the eggs. I hope this explanation makes sense to you.
And I love that while Lucifer is grateful to Chloe for feeling this way about him even though he's confused by the meaning of her joke, I love that her words also help him to realize what Linda has been trying to help him understand throughout the episode too. That he needs to understand when he's at fault and that his problems aren't always caused by everyone else. I am happy that he finally returns to Linda to apologize for blaming his problems on her and everyone else when he too is partly to blame, and to thank her for continuing to help him.
Now... I love the moment Lucifer realizes who the real killer is and how he suddenly becomes so angry that his eyes glow red in and out like they do upon feeling the same rage he felt towards his mother for hurting him since this killer did the same to the innocent girl who was like a daughter to her too, then how he leaves to confront the woman on his own. Unfortunately, Chloe arrives just as this enraged killer suddenly attacks him, giving us a hilarious fight as Lucifer struggles to keep himself from getting killed. And I love it when Lucifer then pulls the trigger on the stun gun to electrocute the woman as well as he walks past Chloe to leave the house. I love Chloe's reaction to this as well. So hilarious.
Next... I really like that Maze left both Lucifer and Amenadiel for a short time in order to try to figure out her own life now that she's begun to accept Los Angeles is her home now, since Lucifer has no intention of ever returning to Hell. Like Lucifer, Maze is also a punisher and doesn't understand human emotion. So I love how it's revealed in the end that she has been going to see Linda like Lucifer has so she too can try to understand the world and how she can fit into it.
As for Amenadiel and his own struggles throughout this episode with his powers... there's more to be revealed later on that will help us to understand what's happening to him. But he's definitely struggling. And this is the first time his powers have become wonky like they have.
And lastly... I love that we have a new character brought into the show this season. Ella Lopez is adorable, perky, super smart, and so sweet. It's also fantastic that she quickly believes that Lucifer is a method actor because he refers to himself as the Devil, when others just see him as crazy or extremely eccentric. I just really love her character, and the kind of faith she has in God and her beliefs of the Devil. Also... I love that she's the team's forensics scientist too, and not just another detective.
Overall... this episode is great! I love how Lucifer and Amenadiel are now working together to find their mother and that they've begun to act more as wayward brothers struggling to become close with one another. Also... I love that in spite of Amenadiel's warning to him about a piece of their divinity falling into human hands, Lucifer is still trying to convince Chloe that he's the Devil and keeps on telling her to test his blood. And he's certainly not giving up on trying to convince her that he really is the Devil. Lucifer definitely wants Chloe to believe him about who he really is. In spite of Amenadiel's warnings. Lucifer deeply wants Chloe to believe in him, and to trust in him completely, while also seeing the truth about him in the hope that someone will one day come to see that the Devil isn't all evil like the entire world believes him to be.
I can't wait for more Lucifer reactions from you like always, Dakara!!! So, until next time...

"Mom" is Tricia Helfer: No 6 in Battlestar Galactica, and she was in Burn Notice and Ascension (and a bunch of other stuff I haven't seen).

I love your reactions!! Can't wait to see you get further into season 2!! Chloe threw away the blood sample because she realized that even though she didn't understand him she knew that he would always have her back, and that was all that mattered.
Ella (the forensic lady that hugs Lucifer in the beginning) was most certainly on Dexter, her Actress Aimee Garcia came onto the show in season 6 then onwards I believe.

Dan's explanation wasn't just that they wanted to keep things quiet. It was also the fact that the only thing that could be proven against him was that he "improperly checked out evidence". Not really their biggest problem, and a long drawn out investigation would only draw attention to the whole Malcom situation. So they just demote him and have him be the dogsbody for a while.
No less believable than anything else in the show really.

I’ve been continuing SKAM on Patreon but on UA-cam it wasn’t working out. They either got blocked or I had to upload to a separate link which isn’t ideal. I’m hoping to do an edit of the seasons over all somehow. Highlights of s1 etc.
I think you’re a bit harsh and biased against Dan at times which is understandable due to somethings or how the situations make him look at times, especially when you want Lucifer together with Chole not him which I do too but I’ll break it down.
Dan followed Malcom after figuring out he’s dirty and probably was gonna turn him in after but he saw Chole and saw that Malcom was gonna shoot her so he shot him which is justified to save her which he might have been able to come forth to not go to jail cuz it was shooting an armed threat yet the risk is very high that he could of been sent to jail for awhile which would of ruined their child’s life losing their father that way and chole would be a mess since they were still together so he was scared and thought it was the safest option.
So yeah he should of tried to come forth and fight the charges cuz it was kind of a justified shot and Chole wouldn’t have gotten shit from the cops but it is understandable and reasonable to why he didn’t if you break it down.
Next is the whole Chole getting shit from her standing her ground and how he handled it, he did seem like a douche at first/times but he was trying to help her out by just keeping her from stirring things up which would make people hate her more and give her more shit as we’ve seen them do so he was trying to make the best of the situation for her. And he even tried to give her a chance to figure it out near the end even tho it was risky tho he probably thought she wouldn’t find the trap door or his key.
Malcom coming back made the fear and danger more real as if he said anything then Malcom could always say something else or bring dan down with him which would be worse cuz he didn’t come forth right away so he didn’t say anything but to make it worse Malcom was threatening his family so he was at his mercy.
He did it all cuz he cares about them and was scared, good intentions but you know what they say about good intentions paving the road to Hell.
Lastly for the turning himself in, he only admitted to getting the gun out and to Malcom cuz it was the more important thing to clear Lucifer and get Malcom plus at this time it would just make things worse if he told them he shot Malcom, he got demoted and it’s not his fault so don’t blame him for it like he wants to do whatever he can to make up for his past mistakes so don’t be so harsh.
I also saw you misunderstand what happened to Malcom cuz he was changed from Hell, before sure he was shady and he was fine with killing to save his life but nothing implies he was awful to his family or this trigger happy. As he explained to Dan Hell takes away what you love and he loved life, they starved him of food, people, interactions, life, everything that would make anyone insane. And which we see as he can’t help by eat and drink all the time, to enjoy life to the fullest which included messing with people like an ass but he was pushed even further by Amenadude to kill Lucifer which he was gonna do till he got a gift so he fanboys for Lucifer and with his new twisted self he kills a bunch of people in his name to frame on the crazy guy Lucifer didn’t like for him but when he was rejected he turned it on Lucifer and needed to get away so he used Chole’s daughter to get the money he lost yet he was gonna kill them anyways so there’s no witnesses so he could disappear cuz he didn’t care about anything but himself staying alive and away from Hell the thing he feared most.
So as you see Malcom was very changed by Hell and even tho he was pushed he did it and after that he had no issue killing anyone in his way.

I love this series, but it doesn't make sense. Lucifer is just as, or almost as good as Amenadiel in a fight. Amenadiel managed to defeat a guy who I think knows every fighting style, multiple times. Plus, Lucifer is better than Maze in a fight, who is an expert in how to cause pain in every way, which includes fighting.
Yet this random fat lady was beating Lucifer.
You're right. Even with Chloe there, Lucifer would have had the strength to throw that woman off of him and across the room. But we wouldn't have had that hilarious scene. So I'm guessing they decided to just forget about continuity, and go for the laugh. :)
