Yeah, I was pretty much done for after that flashback with Billy and Spencer...So, while Hunter (JJ) has been bumped up to series regular he's still not a main storyline character. (More C/D story) But the writers have been leaving little bread crumbs since mid-season 4 with his video for the capsule. "...Maybe by then they'll start taking me seriously and realize what I bring to the table." And then his grades started slipping, revealing even more about his character. Another key moment was the Halloween episode. Everyone assumed he planned that party to fix Asher and Spencer's relationship but it was also about his friends not showing up for him. (The two movie invites where nobody showed up) So now JJ's on this downward spiral and no one is really paying attention. Asher was but now he's focused on Jaymee. Liv and Jordan were starting to but now they're dealing with the loss of Billy. So, the question is who's going to show up for JJ? Will anyone? (While his scenes were short, so important to his overall storyline. Even down to the song choice.) Excellent storytelling IMO. Anyway, that's my two cents, chile. Please excuse my lil rant. The episode was rushed to me. People were coming at Laura for snapping at everybody but she lost her husband and she's grieving. I'm glad GW talked to Laura and then Laura and Jabari talked. I loved seeing Laura give that speech. Then they were coming at Liv for how she came at JJ. JJ should've known better than to go up in the Baker house drunk 🤬🤬🤬🤬 That Miko girl gives Carrie vibes and I hope she doesn't do nothing to Patience. I loved that Spencer was there for Olivia and Layla was there for Jordan. I loved seeing everybody be there for Laura. Coop gets on my nerves tryna tell Spencer how to grieve. Then she had the nerve to cough. Everything about coop pisses me off 🙄🙄🙄🙄 If Spencer wants to talk he will talk to his wife or his brother. Spencer is being there for everybody but not worried about himself but that's how he is. I loved seeing Spencer and Dillon talk. I loved that Jordan went up there to help Liv. The Baker twins going in their daddy's office made me cry so hard. 😢😢😢😢 Then when Liv found that bottle 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I'm tired of the writers circling back to Liv relapsing every season. I also feel like Liv knew about Jordan and Layla but just chose to mind her own business. I loved seeing Spencer Paysinger on the show again. 😍😍😍😍
You are right, Billy has never said the stuff he said to Spencer to Jordan which is really sad or really Olivia either. I don’t think they will find out about the voicemail. As much as this episode was sad once again, I loved it. So many good moments and Monet did an amazing job! I’m glad Laura got to have her closure w/Jabari’s and I’m glad Jordan let him know that his dads death wasn’t his fault. The next 3 episodes I think are gonna be so emotional + so good! Personally, I don’t think Kia needed to be in this episode since she had nothing to do w/Billy but Darnell I could see just because of football but still made sense to me he wasn’t. Now them both being in Spencer’s episode, absolutely! So happy Olivia found out about Jordan/Layla and the way she did was so sweet and simple. The celebration at the end was really nice. I don’t think Olivia relapses. Just from a few things I’ve seen it sounds like she doesn’t but they just want us to think there is a possibility since her episode is next… 🤞🏻. I feel like we won’t find out about JJ until either Jordan’s episode or after Spencer’s episode which I hope is the case since they all need their grief episodes. I do want to know what is going on with JJ cuz he is going through it and I do hate that for him. Very much looked forward to the next 3 episodes but I’m glad we have a break cuz emotionally I think we all could use it.
Darnell, Kia, and Chris should've returned for this episode. I also agree with you about the storylines. The time they spend on music they could spend it on JJ and Patience.

Ep 14 is Jordan’s episode and it’s titled legacy. Layla’s storyline is gonna be a parallel to that bc her dad talked about legacy in 511
