I'm gonna "well, actually" for a second. The caldera is the whole bowl of the volcano, not just the top edge (but it's a super cool word, so like bonus for having it mentioned in the stream.) So the caldera is what you all would be hollowing out in total.
Soo, you mentioned flickering lights! How about this? You should put lava blobs on top of the tunnel (not visible to players) but then you would see little orange drops, which could look like sparks! And if you do enough, you could make a really interesting way to make sparking lights!
I doubt it, but if you read my comment on the last stream, there is, in fact, a datapack to make minecarts invisible. So you might be able to make endermite rats a thing
Why dont you put quartz in that small strip that you had the froglights? It would give you the LED feeling but not give off light or even bone block for a more dingy old strip
Um….yeah…..too big is a concern, but inspo is inspo. What’s happening in the bunker? Not game stuffs? Maybe just put up bunks, water closets, stoves under vents (copper grates) and tables and be done? Maybe electric cables on wall “from” solar panels above ground, and done.
