Please don’t be ashamed. You have nothing to be ashamed of. You owned it, and you’re trying to get out of it. That is what matters, just do all you can, pay it off as fast as you can. That is all you can do. Everyone starts somewhere. The fact that it is your second debt journey means that you got out once. You can do it again. You got this. :)
Heyyy girl! You're making great progress 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 It's so important to see the positive side and just get what we need to get done! Take it one day at a time 🙌🏾 Amazing job on the payments on your student loan! I'm so happy for you 🩷🩷
Don’t be ashamed ! Give yourself some grace cause life happens! At least you’re checking yourself regrouping and have a vision and plan !!! You got this 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾stand strong- We ALL can fall down , but the fact that you’re getting back up an pushing forward that’s the push and drive and your WHY is QUITTING THAT CORP JOB!!!! You got this!!!!👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Great debt payoff it takes a lot of discipline and hard work to be able to pay this amount so quickly, I started at $103k, about $48 in loans and credit cards so I know how you feel with this amount of debt I am down to about $11k left and I started in Jan 2023, so keep at your plan. I have $56k in student loans and was holding and hoping for forgiveness but since that’s not happening I am going to start paying a great deal down to the student loans well at least that’s the plan. The plan for 2025 is paying off the remainder $11k so I can be completely consumer debt free and then start on the student loan. Looking forward to your journey!!
You paid off debt once, you can do it again. Keep chipping away at that debt. You have made great progress. I have about $4500 left and plan on paying it off next year. Then I can focus on retirement and my kids future as well!
I’m in about 30k in debt ….mainly it stems from credit card debt and student loans. I would love to clear it all up in the next 2-3 years. I too left a corporate job without a real plan and I’ve suffered as a result of my decision.
Really, if you don’t mind me asking what would you have done differently before leaving your corporate job? 30k with a 3 year payoff plan is great! I know you’re going to get to get there. We got this!
I think you took a risk and didnt allow fear to be abarrier. Good for you for branching out and trying. Know that you did not fail for trying..!So-good for you!
@@BudgetToFreedom I would’ve saved more, paid my debts off or paid them down as low as possible. I would make sure I was the best version of myself mentally as well. I just didn’t plan well at all.
On that Toyota car loan, call or poke around your payment portal. Many are finding tjat they can make principle-only payments. Making principle-only payments wont change the monthly minimum due nor the monthly dollars of interest paid. But it will speed up early retirement of the loan and give you more negotiation wiggle room should you run into a problem.
Share where you are on your debt free journey and your time line to pay it off- I’d love to cheer you on.
