This is what a seriously good cover of this song should sound like, great work! (I couldn't help but think of the cover version used in the Black Widow movie when I saw that Addie was recording this, and this is so so much better on every level!)

Smells like another fantastic cover! You kept the "grunginess" for the verses and gave the chorus the flair that it needed to take it to the next level.

HOLY SHIT, I LOVE THIS. I think where a lot of artists fall short of trying to cover "Smells Like Teen Spirit" is that it feels too much like just somebody else singing the song without their own spin/flavor on it, but like, this FEELS like a Halocene song. That's what I love about so many of your covers, it doesn't just feel like a retread of the original track, it FEELS like something y'all would make, and that's especially the case here. You kept the core elements of the original song, but played to your strengths and amplified certain elements to really make it your own! Awesome job once again!

Yeah I love this about Halocene, they take the essence of a song and reform it into a new shape while still being super respectful and keeping the heart of the song intact.

i've always loved this song but this on another level. i'm used to hearing female voices singing softer parts so this was almost intoxicating. everything was incredible. and i really appreciate that you didn't change the highs and lows in the vocals that much. it makes it easier to jam out to.

Grunge music is supposed to be raw, ‘real’ (whatever that’s supposed to mean) and as unprocessed as possible. Holocene, in that regards, this is not grunge. But you more than make up for that with the passion and fire in your version. Very well done.
I have too hard of a time listening to covers like this where it's grunge. I grew up with grunge and am a hardcore Nirvana fan. This rendition seems good but my brain says something's off, it's the overproducing, but that's their style. I really appreciate all their originals and the effort they put in to every song, the changes, different melodies, overlays, vocals, additional rifs and sound amazing. Keep up the work guys but I'm only listening to this version once. Till next time!

This is by far one of the better covers Halocene has made this year. And lemme tell ya why:
I've been a fan of Halocene for years. I, specifically, have NOT been a fan of Nirvana for years. I think their music is stale in taste and Kurt Cobain simply got lucky by getting big.
Not lying, I was very hesitant to click on this cover because I hate Nirvana with a passion. But I was very surprised with the result.
This song is so dissimilar to the original, Halocene did it in such a gorgeously new and fresh way that it's astounding that the original was made by who it was.
The intricacy of Brad's solo was astounding, Joe's drumming skills were impeccable as they always are, and Addie's diversity with her vocals is simply breathtaking to hear. Not to mention Brad's final scream as the final chorus starts.
This has made for a fan-fucking-TASTIC cover. Amazing work, Halocene. Love you to bits.
