Hi Taff. The Luftwaffe did not award partial credit for kills. For them it was 1 kill per pilot, so only the shooting down pilot gets the credit. Partial kills was mainly something that the allies did. Further, the Luftwaffe only awarded kill credits for witnessed kills, either through gun camera footage or an eye witness account of the kill. Makes you think, given that 103 German pilots were each credited with 100 or more air to air victories. Of these 103 pilots 10 scored over 200, 3 scored over 250 and 2 (Gerhard Barkhorn and Erich Hartmann) scored over 300 (301 and 352 respectively). The majority of these pilots got their impressive numbers flying the BF-109. The top non German ace was Finland's Ilmari Juutilainen, with 94 confirmed from 126 claimed. He too flew the BF-109. The top allied ace was Ivan Kozhedub, who was credited with 66 kills. He scored all his kills in the La-5 and La-7. The top Commonwealth pilot was South Africa's Pat Pattle, who scored a total of 41 kills, and was the top scoring ace in both the Gloster Gladiator, and the Hawker Hurricane. The top US pilot was Richard Bong, with 40 kills. The top UK, and Spitfire, ace was Johnnie Johnson with 38 air to air victories.
Thanks so much for posting this and thanks so much for treating us to this incredible special. This was excellent, truly amazing.. the BF109G is one hell of a lethal warbird, flown this for endless hours in my own campaigns, as well as downing a good few of these in the USSR and allied campaigns. This would be a great aircraft for a future new series, till then keep posting the great content.. thanks again for the treat, loved it. Great episode mate and happy gaming 👏 👍
the G6/Late is a great plane, i just wish IL2Sturmovick would release a G10 and the B17 and B24 on a Rhine or Rurh map or even Berlin map, and i bet it would slap
Very cool, I really do love IL-2. Such a great WWII sim. I got a kick out of the C-47 ghost riding off into oblivion, lol. Poor thing just didn't want to go down and fought it all the way... They also just put Flying Circus III out into EA(For lack of a better term...) the other day, which I jumped on immediately. Excited to get my sim rig back into WWI mode, slap on the VR, and go get my butt shot to pieces in a few sub-100 MPH, so close you can almost stab the other pilot furballs. Lol... I forgot I bought the Siemens-Shuckert model a while back and still haven't flown it. Super excited to give that one a whirl.
Yawn 🥱 , playing easy mode again , sick of seeing 109’s pooning allied aircraft , much prefer to see the nazi war machine get smashed . Come on these vids are to common .

Love the 109G,please please do a campaign 🙏
That's the best landing I've ever seen from you. Sadly, it just reminds me of the 1/72 Academy 109 G6 waiting for decals.

Yes a 109 series would be great!
@@hanswolfgangmercer Absolutely 💯 it would, be legendary 🤝 👍
With more canon content 😂
@@bigmac60 Well obviously indeed 😁
great video Taff could you do more il-2 careers like Soviet Pe-2 yak-9 or US p-47 Normandy.

thank you TAff, that was an intresting sortie
Ah yes.. the 'ol circle in place maneuver used by Lightning pilots never.
Another great video, thanks👍
I'm surprised to see the C-47 living for so long while burning. I thought it would break apart much earlier.
Tough aircraft, the C-47
I’ll say the c-47 machine spirt kept it flying
Start of the new career?
What flight stick do you recommend for IL-2?
Kudos for playing the game properly without those god awful aircraft labels on.
Why not fly against some real pilots in multiplayer? Hm...lol
Hey Taff have you ever considered doing an IL-2 team up with Wolfpack 345? I watch you both extensively, and you both would be unstoppable in a team
Well flown and landed. Is this the start of a new series?
That was fun to watch.
Glad to see you back in IL-2.
that was a very good landing. Congrats

The DC3 was the Dakota, C47 was the Skytrain Taff, they are 2 totally seperate aircraft.
