This is the final boss of all weeds. It's hard to grow anything with these things around.

I feel this is so important to the control of the SLF that everyone should know what to look for.

I've seen those before! I wasn't certain until she showed the seeds! I remember finding those seeds and having no idea what kind of tree they'd come from! I live in Southern West Virginia and if PA & OH have them, than we do too!

You can make walking sticks for children out of it. You have to let it air due to the horrible smell (which can transfer to clothing/skin), though. Firing the wood causes the pith to collapse, but allows for resin to flow easier through the center areas. It's lightweight enough that the resin doesn't weigh it down and makes good sticks for the kiddos.

I can attest I used to use these trees as swords and staffs without ever knowing what they were when I was little lol. my friends and I called them taco trees because we thought that's what they smelled like at the time

Finally! Been wanting to know what these things are for 25 years!
They are beautiful in summer and give lots of shade, but in winter the branches break and fall making a mess.
You can't build anything with them and the wood isn't good for stove wood. It burns quick.
They grow very fast, sprout anywhere the seed lands, and my ten acres are full of them.

If I have a medium size tree of heaven say 10 ft tall, should I keep it or uproot it and destroy it?

'Disturbed area, Poor Soil.' is actually the Mandarin and Cantonese definition of "Asia"

Sounds like by these trees, and the bug that is attracted to them may need to be killed off. Another great import from China ?

You did a great job with this video. But please don't use ambiguous terms like "this time of year"
when you are making a video.

Hardly ambiguous when she stated 'were here in early spring' specifically in the video 🤷🏼‍♂️

"Invasive" to some concepts. It actually survives where no other trees are able to, and does add beautiful and improvement to environment conditions without the cost of care...

Cut them all down! Extremely invasive
