I like Sneaky, but it's not surprising that adc whose whole contribution to team vision is pink ward on his lane and blue trinket every two minute doesn't understand why Maokai sapplings might be a strong tool.Or Senna rushing anti-ward item.
good point but they either forgot about this part or they mean it's not enough, coz of how little help he provides later. i remember how a year ago they were talking exactly how these 2 things are straight-up op. they play/watch this game 24/7, ofc they should know although DL is wrong about basic stuff all the time so maybe they're dumber than i think lol
@@thatguy5233 unfortunately just sort of human nature to become blind to other possibilities the longer you do something, takes a lot of effort to avoid that so they probably have shit tons of blind spots that prevents them from understanding things (ofc also plenty of other areas where they're correct)

the dive only azir playstyle was hard carried by crown imo. you'd see eastern mids go crown/zhonyas and play pseudo engage, but now that's a lot harder to pull off consistently

Support used to be a "second class citizen". You were always at risk of getting one shot, and you spent the whole game on like one item and wards. Thats what made mata and madlife legendary. Now, if its before 10 minutes, you can 1v1 the adc, you can roam into any lane you want and still get gold for free, and if you're underleveled, one or two kills with catch up exp will bring you right back.
There needs to be a balance everyone agrees but there's a reason literally nobody used to ever want to play support; the role was dog and completely unfun.

I learned how to play the game playing support ashe to a draven in S4. Ashe has been a valid supp for a long while, the vision control and the high cc is really conducive to support. Especially when her q wasn't aa spam.

Fly completely fucked up by trying to push the wave to tower after getting the kill in bot lane at lv1. They should have just recalled immediately.
Because they took so long to clear, Rell was able to stop Varus' recall while Kallista caught almost a full cannon wave.

Honestly, it doesn't feel like Support is overpowered, but that ADC is underpowered. From what I've seen outside monster stomps, I haven't really seen the role carry recent games in my experience.
it's because you can't have both roles be good in the same lane, or bott would take over games 2v8, so when support was really weak and the least played role, back in like s9 or s10, in order for them to make support more popular, they nerfed the adc role and moved that power to support (champs, items, runes, there's literally only 3 good runes in the precision rune tree for an adc - PoM, cut down and lethal tempo, most items have a "ranged" and "melee" modifier now, the bott lane as a whole got hit with xp nerfs twice because of mid funneling xdd, crit has been getting nerfed over and over and it's legit dogshit now, individual champs getting nerfed whenever they stand out not even among the general roster of champs, but among other adcs etc.). The issue with them taking power away from adc to give to support is that, while a support can fuck оff and roam, adc is stuck in the lane, so if your support is bad, you don't get to play the game, and the main determining factor to the outcome of bott are the supports, so the role has neither agency in its own lane, nor outside of lane due to the nature of the champs played, thus the role is and feels like utter garbage now, and has been for years, and is, unsurprisingly, the least popular role.
We are in a mage bott meta, and have been in one for years, but the adc playerbase refuses to acknowledge that. the worst mages mid still feel much better to play bott, than the best adcs. for that reason, riot will keep the role as a whole in the dirt, and complaining on leddit, while still queueing up and playing actual adc champs bott, means that they can keep fucking the role over and the players will accept it, i mean have you seen MF? she has a positive winrate bro, adc isn't weak!
Typical adc mentality. "Our role is garbage. Every season every patch, but I still play adc"
@BurnDem101 I'm a support main actually and just saying I've haven't once looked at my adc and been like "this is who I need to play around this game" in recent years. Unless it's a mage botlane it almost always feels better putting my time and effort elsewhere.
adc is underpowered but every comp team has like 2-3 adc champs on it
@@firstLast-jw7bm Comp isn't solo q. That's why KSante's win rate in solo is abysmal yet he's so dominant in pro play. You can't compare the two.

Support podcast part is the exact reason why only Meteos could be (and currently is) on The Dive. Sneaky and DL have fun personalities and Meteos likes to meme on his role too, but he actualy tried playing and understands other roles. Imagine talking there about meta and your main argument being "i play with that role, i know everything about it", holy fuck.
Yeah I kinda agree. I find myself agreeing with Meteos a lot more than DL or Sneaky. Mainly cause they seem to view things from one perspective only.

I don't want to argue with these guys cuz tbh they know far more about what they are talking about than silver me, but why is it bad that a support who as I understand it does not CS or try for kills have an alternate way to gain power over the course of the game? Or is it more a case that CERTAIN champs can abuse it for itemization, so it should be tuned. It's not presented that way but I can get behind tuning champs/items but not the entire role.
The game used to be, supports had no gold generation (no support items to generate gold). In earlier seasons supports would run the old gold per second runes, so it actually confined the role to specific champions that could scale with less gold. So supports were balanced around having low gold. Right now the gold they get is high, so now why not just play support, go a assassin or adc and just get kills. you cant get punished for missing CS, or getting counter jungled.

they should keep the blue and red team-wide buffs, but also if your team can achieve taking both blue buffs from ally and enemy side, gives the effects but twice as strong for half as long. Will easily make it a teamfight objective

But apparently a Maokai support is always dogshit even when they're supposedly always equal in itemization? Somethin' ain't right here. Sounds more like a couple champs and some items in the role need to be tuned, not the whole damn role. Especially since you drop off hard in gold once your support item finishes - you're equal until only minions give you gold and then suddenly everyone's 4 or 5 items and you're still at 3.

Meteos has a very outsider mindset vs doublelift and sneaky on why supports are not overtuned I feel like sneaky explained it perfectly that the items and mass amount of gold make it optimal to never go other characters as these champs can build crazy damage and still have utility

To be fair to the support podcast, I get that supports can literally pick their noses and finger their assholes all game and STILL have enough gold like everyone else to get these busted ass items, but I don't think the items should be busted to begin with. I would rather them lower overall damage of the game, even if it makes it 6 mins longer on avg so that it doesn't feel completely over as soon as one of them broken ass champions gets 2 items and starts 1 second killing you (like Rengar). I get it's an impossibility making things well balanced, especially when tweaking a single number on an item can make 22 out of the what 160-170 champions now completely busted, but I'd rather them slow the game down so that you're not forced to play someone with high mobility/dashes to be able to 1 shot someone before you get 1 shot yourself....like how Gragas is now tearing up solo queue because of the broken AP items (Stormsurge in particular) even though he is hard to play, being able to E->W into someone and proc it dealing over half their hp 1 item in is beyond stupid.
Remember when ADC's were made to be the "Glass Cannons" of the entire game? Their entire role was meant to be extremely high damage, but extremely at risk of dying if more than 1 person was anywhere near them....well now their role is kind of pointless since both Assassin's and Mages do EXACTLY what they do with almost double the damage throughout the entire game.

I didn't think that hard into it but you may be right. I kinda shrugged it off as their normal banter but going back and seeing that Meteos was actually trying to explain the Maokai build and not meme to get hit with that, I'm seeing it different. Now I hope we are both wrong

And maybe I chose a poor timestamp, but imo there just seems like a lot of tension between the two in the last few co streams. The banter doesn’t seem that diff from previous years but idk I feel like they’re hitting different now. Esp since meteos has been trying to get a more active role in the LCS broadcast. Meteos is trying to be more family friendly, and sneaky kinda just wants to shoot shit and watch lcs. I 100% get where both are coming from, and that’s actually why I really think DL is a great balancing factor to the co streams.
