Hello To identify different classes in Sentinel 1 images, which are radar images, it is necessary to know the backscatter of the phenomena Usually, built-up urban areas have more brightness in the image, and water is at its blackest
Thank you so much for your video. You explain SNAP in a very short way it will help both beginners and advance learners.Sir please made a video on depth invariant index.
Hello, thank for the video, please I have a question, is there a solution to put directly the coordinates instead of using the mouse, like we can do with Earth explorer? Thank you for your time
Hello, and thank you for the presentation. I have three questions: 1) Does SNAP 9.0 have a Fourier Transform option from a SLC-SAR image? 2) I am interested to learn more about the custom filter design process. For example, can you make a truncated bandwidth filter set from two partially overlapping sectors of the azimuth along-track domain to detect micro Doppler signals? 3) You showed how you can perform histogram analysis of lines. Does that mean that you can focus the processing on a series of pixels on a straight line sample of your choosing from the SAR image?
Hello Thank you Unfortunately, I do not know about the first question For this question, I will give you a link to a site where you can ask your question and they will give you the best answer.
For a research project at my university we have to build an active corner reflector for sentinel-1a. Therefore I need to know the „grey values“ (in dBsm) of the image/region I am interested in. How can I read out such a scale? Thank you very much!
Actually: I don’t really know. The main work of the project shall be to build the reflector which is going pretty well. I’ve got the task to research about sentinel-1a and find out about the required RCS. There are a few papers referring to the same (not more existing) source that the required RCS in dBsm shall be 40.4. I was told to validate this value with the offered data and the snap tool. Now one of our problems is, that we are in the early semesters and haven’t had lessons in radar. So, yeah In the last month I have read much about how a (sar) radar works. I thought that asking someone with knowledge could be the better way, so I ask you. Do you understand what I mean? If not it’s okay, I will not stop reading and thank very very much for your video it was indeed easy to follow and thank you very much for your time :)

Hi mate, glad you enjoyed the video, to geocode you can use the video, at first your images should be pre-processed such as S 1 TOPS Split and Apply Orbit File. Then, follow this address: Radar Tab >> Coregistration section >> S 1 Coregistration >> Back geocoding. Click on Back geocoding and enter your images, you also need to set the DEM on SRTM 1sec HGT and then RUN to processing be performed.
