- Well this took a while, so the half hour video shows!
Purchased off ebay, part number is KE2954E001.

Yeah, I'd have just wired it into the courtesy lights if I knew how hard it was!
Thankyou so much for this video. I bought my puddle lights before lockdown but no local mechanic wanted to install them as the wiring looked too tricky. After seeing your video I decided to give it a go myself and with your help it was a breeze. I’ve also ordered dynamic wing mirror lights and I am in the process of upgrading all my lights to led/smd. Keep up the good videos. Thanks.

HI GUYS JUST FITTED THESE TO MY 2017 TEKNA +, I cheated though as DIDNOT want to take glove box out etc. So I ran wires under carpet under dash across behind centre console, then connected up on right side. Saved me a lot of time taking glovebox etc off,wiring was bit tricky as instructions no very clear. Finished and looks amazing.
Must admit i was tempted to do the same, but as i was doing a how to guide, i thought i'd stick to the instructions!
Knowing my luck Dan I would have gone by instructions and done something to wiring or something behind dash. Would have caused more problems for myself. Lol

Just a shame they don't do a window switch illumination update on the j10 or j11
On our old j10 I fitted the auto windows up when locked, and mirrors fold / unfold when locked/ unlocked.
On our old j11 it had these from factory 👍 so only upgrade I did was send the steering wheel off to royal steering wheels to have the rim thickness increases and covered in Nappa leather with perforations at 10 and 2 o'clock.

I had a spare switch set that I could have experimented with but chucked it!
Nice video Dan! I've currently got the kit sitting in the garage waiting for me to fit it, just checked my instruction sheet and it's marked 'Issue B'. It shows the wiring as red to red, black to black so Nissan must have updated it. The supplied grommets look smaller as well.....wish me luck when I get brave enough to have a go at it! lol :)
Oh good! There's a few mistakes on my instructions. Those grommits had me head scratching for a bit!
You can get the correct ill female connector from aliexpress, saves all that mess behind the panel(still got mine to fit,awaiting warmer weather)

Hi Dan brilliant video. I have a late (September) 2017 qashqai tekna + will this kit fir it mate? I have seen few on ebay but given different advice on if it will fit. Yest all part numbers are the SAME KE2954E001? Would appreciate your advice.

Hi Gary I think it will fit. Best advice I can give is to call nissan parts department. Give them your reg and the part number and they'll confirm.
Personally I dont see why not as its the same underneath.

Did you manage to find any more of them wire connectors ? I need some but cant find them, also great vid do you think they could attach to side steps?
They're called posi tap connectors, and I'm not sure how you would attach them to side steps.
Looks well I'm just a bit sceptical to fit them as I have sidesteps on my tekna which use no1 holes so unsure wether they will fit properly, great vid 👍🏼👍🏼
Use hole number 1 you mean?

@@fewery19 ooooh, Guess you could either drilla new hole, or DIY it putting some on the underside of the side steps?
Dan Smith I've been looking at aftermarket waterproof leds to go on underside of steps as think that's my only option as I've asked even Nissan and they can't give me a straight yes or no even though they fit both but have never done them together
@@fewery19 You could get a decent strip of led's that you could mount to the underside yeah.

I believe you can buy upgraded H7 (i think its H7!) Bulbs. Mine are LED as standard so won't be doing a video on that sorry.

I bud, sorry to be of no help but I'm unsure, best way would be to try and follow the wire or use an electric tester to find the pulse current when it's on.

Hey Dan, I’ve fitted mine. It’s been a few weeks now and when i start the car by pressing the clutch down the ignition would turn on, but when I push the button, It shuts off completely. Then after few tries by opening the door and closing again, it turns on and start the car. Could this be a battery problem or have you experienced anything like this in yours.

Any messages on the dash? Sounds like the usual issues with a low key battery
@@TheQashqaiGuy yup I have an amber engine light come up on dash. Not sure if it relates to this though
I'd like to think not. Maybe worth getting the codes checked either by a garage (not cheap) or buy a scanner yourself from eBay or a motor factors

Hi Gary, it's pretty much the external body panels and the steering wheel that changed.
@@TheQashqaiGuy cheers mate. I wanted to purchase these lights but was informed by nissan dealer that they won't fit. Rang my local Nissan dealer who told me they will not fit only if I have step bars on car. Which I haven't so good news. Ordered them and will follow your great video.

It’s a shame Nissan don’t supply a plug and crimp pins to go onto the socket you have to tap into. I know you’d have to fit it after threading the cable through, but it would be so much neater! What’s the approximate cost of the Nissan kit? Nice video as usual, well done.
Yeah I was pretty miffed that the kit doesn't just have the plug on the end!!!

Bought these, but no one wants to fit them for me! I contacted my local Nissan, someone quoted me a price. I go to book in over the phone someone else quotes me nearly 3x the price to fit! Making it nearly £400 after buying the lights myself. I was told if I had proof of original quote they would honour it. I do… and printed. But, worried they’ll back out on the day and charge me new quote. Might have to just give up in the idea and sell these on.

@@TheQashqaiGuy Definitely not the wiring part. 😮💨I’m going to a car electrics place in the morning, I phoned yesterday but they didn’t know what they were… so asked me to take them up and they’ll give me a price for fitting. If it’s too much I’m going to have to leave it. 😒
You can just wire them into the interior lights which is a lot easier than using the supplied module.
Hi Dan! Quite some work 😉 I had them installed by the dealer when I bought the car and as you can see here (ua-cam.com/play/PL2Sg1t8nQ6tExhM_4XawdWt9y7tdRFAaY.html) quite interestingly the didn’t route the cable in throught that grommet but from beneath.
