I just listened to this newest album recently. Love at first spin. The best metal female/male duet since Ozzy/Lita. The rest of the album is great too.
I am in love with Doro's voice now. Because of the drop in pitch she sounds amazing. Her new album is amazing BTW. Highly recommend picking it up. I fell like I should be starring awkwardly across a dance floor at the girl I so desperately want to dance with but am too nervous to talk too. Every boy at the middle school dance.
We love Doro lol. I fell down a rabbit hole. If that's Doros band they are amazing. Is that really j Dee on drums? I need to look it up. I've seen doro many times in Denver.
DORO Pesch and Rob Halford Needs to do If l close My Eyes Forever from Lita Ford and Ozzy Osbourne just like they did this song Totally Eclipse Of The Heart from Miss Bonnie Tyler .

I was into Warlock right from the start, in the 80s in Germany. Her voice stands out in the metal scene, even when much of her later solo work had little to do with real metal anymore, with the exception of certain songs. Hard rock at best. The latest album being one of the better ones for sure. I often think her voice is wasted on a lot of almost pop music style songs she's produced over the years. Way too commercial and much of it even boring. Yet, I keep buying her stuff, mostly out of a wicked sense of loyalty, hmmm... Rob Halford also has very little to do with metal, let's be honest. C'mon now, Judas Priest was never really heavy either. But please, don't take my word for it. If it doesn't hit you like a freight train it's not my kinda thing. I have long, long ago moved into the NYHC lair (Terror, Madball, etc.) as well as Ultar, WITTR, Rotting Christ, Behemoth. Like I said, Doro is a huge exception for me to even bother with, simply because in my former life I must have sworn an oath of allegiance or something like that. However, I have deep respect for her diligence, her work ethic, her absolute love for animals, which I share 100 %, and her most always upbeat attitude and kindness. She is one of a kind for sure. Her voice has also and most definitely matured over the years, in the most positive sense. It's just much of the music itself I really don't care for anymore (again, her latest album is pretty good though).
They were good, yes, but Germany had a few majorly more interesting bands at that time. Sadly most of them had - over time - turned into utter boredom. After a few albums most bands are burned out, and lose all imagination. Everything sounds the same. Pretty much true for all genres. @@brianstevens100
Doro is and will always be the Metalqueen! This new album she has released is good. My favorite track is Fire In The Sky. But as for this cover....it's ok. I was never a fan of the original and this cover has really changed my opinion. I will admit, the guitar solo on here is fantastic. But with Rob's odd vocals here and lack of heaviness, this cover just falls flat.
Every now and then I hate this song! No disrespect to Doro or Halford Claus, but....just NO. I didn't like the original (really?!?) and this was insult to injury for me. Rob's collab with Maria Brink and In This Moment on Black Wedding was miles and away better than this, in my opinion....
