thats very greatest best masterpiece lovebites judgement day classic album legendary of the world. I love great best band favorite lovebites. thank you lovebites the true heavy power metal forever 🤘🎸
Thanks for your reaction, they are already known in Europe, I watched them twice in Wacken Germany 2018 and UK 2019. Also Lovebites has been in Belgium Grass pop festival, Paris France, Madrid Spain. So Europe knows the band very well. Hopefully some day to visit the US. Greetings from London
I think you’re spot on in the vibes you pick up. Asami said that they had lost confidence as a band, and during the bassist audition process, Fami (the young lady they ended up recruiting) reminded them that they were supposed to be having fun, or what was the point in playing music. They all practised hard, honed their skills and improved as musicians, returning with an album that is full of energy. They are clearly reinvigorated and some compositions on this album are an absolute statement of intent. Love every track on it. Love everything they’ve ever done 😊
Haruna "little BIG Engine" drums (4'9"; 1.45m) Asami "The One & Only Voice" vocals (4'10"; 1.47m) Midori "Crazy Shredder" guitar (4'11"; 1.5m) Miyako "The Golden Touch" guitar/piano (5'2"; 1.58m) Fami nickname and height as yet unknown but is a Bass wizard. nicknames given by the band
Lovebites play Heavy Metal. They're leading the pack. Japanese Metal is alive and well.! No one smokes Lovebites. Fami, the new bass player has already added anew voice, she's a beast. The songwriting is outstanding. The musicianship is top notch; they've paid their dues and have reached another level well above the nu Metal gobbliegoop coming from the states. Amazing vocals, killer drummer, awesome shred guitar, what's not to like. If you're a old school 80s 'Rocker, this is just what we need ; serious Metal with a Japanese flair.
This song makes me feel it is the updates attitude from Raise Some Hell. I have seen the song only in concert, but they have fun in that song like they do in this song. These gals are just monsters when it come to playing music and I am glad I found them in December. Even though there is no video (except for the bands reaction on it) for it, the last track Soldier Stands Solidarity is an awesome song. I read that Miyako apologized to Asami for making her sing high notes and to Hasumi for making her play the drums like a beast (186 beats per minute I believe they said).
Thank you for your response to the fourth track. Please keep up the good work LOVEBITES. 【From an interview with Asami(Vo) and Fami(Ba) for a magazine project in Japan】 When Covid19 subsided and the audience was able to speak up, Asami thought it would be nice to have a song that everyone could sing, both on stage and in the audience. Asami wanted to use the sound of "river" in the lyrics, but thought it would be strange to use "river" as the chorus. Asami found "deliver" and thought it would be cool if everyone shouted it out instead of just telling what the word means. For many Japanese, pronouncing and hearing the English "r" and "l" is difficult. From there, Asami arrived at "stand and deliver. "Stand and deliver" is a pirate term that apparently means "Leave all your money!" Asami thought that if he wrote the lyrics as they were, it would be a song about a "pirate king. Asami wanted to avoid that. Asami learned that "deliver" can also mean "to carry out" or "to be free" in addition to "to deliver. Asami uses "Stand and deliver" with the following interpretation and meaning. Stand up and be free! Rise up and be free! Arise and be free! Let's get up and be free! From there, Asami put the following thoughts into the lyrics. Nothing satisfies me. It's boring to be like this every day! Let's go more bouncy! Let's be bold and do something different! Let's break out of our shell! P.S. The mic stand setting that Miyako(G-Piano-Black hair) used was too high for Asami(Vo).
Very informational reaction and Fami is the new bassist. I just hope they come to the States so they blow up globally. They are next level talent and just need one US Tour to get on the map of the west. My favorite band of all time after listening to metal (power/thrash/speed metal) for 35yrs+. They just do it for me like no other band. 🤘
Band Members: Asami, Lead Vocals & Piano; Haruna, Drums & Backing Vocals; Miyako, Guitar, Multi-instrumentalist, Backing Vocals, Composition; Midori, Guitar, Backing Vocals, Fami (Fah-me) New Bassist, backing vocals, composition (eventually), multi-instrumentalist. Haruna and Miho (Former Bassist) founded this group. Fami is the 'baby' of the band at just 20 years (I don't have her birthdate yet...) These ladies are the BOMB and GOAT, I will listen to them until they stop producing or I cease to breathe.
Thanks for the reaction! I dicovered Lovebites in 2020 and i love them! The new album is fantstic an full of energy. Their level of musicanship is insane and the new bassist Fami fits perfect!
Love bites was on the Defenders of the faith album from '84. Thought it was from Turbo first. Google saved me once more LOL Lovebites on the other hand got their name from a Halestorm song by same name. At 2019 Download Asami joined Lzzy and the guys on stage to perform the song.
Great insight and analysis. Something in it for everybody. Yep, which is why it’s taken me until the last song on the newest album to finally decide a “favourite”. Because to my ears, every single song by the band has a particular character that makes it special individually, and that is, for me at least, unprecedented. Favourite bands of old were replete with album fillers. There is no such term in Lovebites vocabulary.
Ok, first thanks for reaction, always nice to have more peeps getting interested in Japanese metal overall. Now serious question to all the Lovebites fans out there. First, there are many metal / hard rock Japanese bands I like / love. They are ALL very talented and skilled. But there are 2 bands very liked by many and reactors react a lot to them as it brings clicks for sure, that I can't wrap my head around (Band-Maid & Lovebites) When I listen to those 2 bands, I don't hear things I haven't heard anywhere else (but I haven't started my Japanese metal journey with either of them, so no special connection for me to them). So again, are they talented ? sure. Are they delivering ? sure. Are they pretty and cute ? sure. Does their MUSIC (and I speak only about what I hear, not what I see) hit that spot for me ? nope. What makes you prefer them over let's say Unlucky Morpheous or NEMOPHILA (which I'm a fan of both bands) ? because when I listen to those bands I hear many more things I haven't heard very often in music as far as musicality goes. There are even more obscure bands I'm a fan of that provides different musical experiences, like NECRONOMIDOL, etc. Not hating, just asking a serious question and sharing point of views (and I know, asking those question about music to music fans is always a touchy topic)
I think, first of all, the reason is that Unlucky Morpheus and Nemophila are bands localized for Japanese listeners. And Lovebites and, to a lesser extent, Band-Maid are bands with a worldwide sound, both in music and vocals. Anyway, for me it is. Next, only about Lovebites. I think this is a band of a different level than Band-Maid, Unlucky Morpheus and Nemophila. I must say that I am not fond of heavy metal and I have never heard many bands that are called as having influenced Lovebites before. And now I'm not listening either, I tried it, but it didn't seem interesting. My music is prog-rock, prog-metal and jazz-rock. Moreover, the music is quite heavy and rich. Which is surprising, but Lovebites fit perfectly into my musical preferences. Their music has exactly what I need and what I appreciate. Band-Maid, Unlucky Morpheous and Nemophila just don't have it.
I believe it's about familiarity. Most people relate to them because they do pay homage to the past. One of my favorite bands is Maximum The Hormone. However, I recognize that they are not for everyone. That is not a bad thing. If everyone liked the same thing what a boring place the world would be.
To all that I say, to each his/her own. That's the beauty of music, as there is something out there for everyone. Oh yeah, I disagree with you about nothing new with Lovebites. Their new I guess is more subtle, but in over 50 years I have not heard a band like Lovebites. I hear a lot of things in Lovebites that I've heard before based on their influences - Maiden, Priest, Motorhead, Megadeth, Slayer, etc. I personally have never heard a band that blends so many influences and sub genres into their own genre of metal, Lovebites metal. I can hear half a dozen things I've heard before in one song, yet I've never heard such speed and perfection blended like they do. So, it's entirely new and different to me.
Thanks already to the ones who answered, and for making it a great sharing of experiences, and indeed I agree that music would be boring if we all loved the same things. And yes I definitely hear all what you say, but seems it just didn't click with me. And it's even hard for me to explain why, as there are all the elements that SHOULD make me click, and it simply doesn't and that's probably why I'm asking that, probably trying to understand more for myself than trying to make a point to others. Anyways have a nice week-end all of you, and I welcome many more comments btw 💖
@@dymyavalor6135 Thanks for sharing your thoughts. Just a suggestion, you probably already know them, but if not, give a chance to Aldious. Softer music, more melodic (I'm not good with pinpointing exact terminology for music as I don't give a frack at what peeps call it, so I would say tends more toward hard-rock)
Thanks for more LOVEBITES! Unfortunate for your listeners/viewers that you are still presenting a 'mono' misrepresentation of their music which has all been sent from Japan all the way to Finnvox Studios in Finland for 'mixing & mastering' in a particular way, in stereo. This effort on LOVEBITES/Victor's part is not 'convenient' for them and retaining that 'mix' in your video is a show of respect for the band and how they choose to sound. Please find a way to upgrade your system to include 'original stereo mix' for every band you present to your audience.

Most musically talented hard music band on the planet.
My favorite band, best stuff I’ve heard has come from this band. I have never seen anyone play better. They make the other bands look weak. ☠️🎸🐺👍

simplemente esto, les a dado unos años de juventud extra,la musica es diversion entre otras muchas cosas
Very well put. It's easy to not know or to forget what a complex organism a great band is.

Getting style notes and whole band chorus hits from Nemophila I see! Reminds me of Dissension.
Love Bites was a Judas Priest song/album (circa 1984‐'86 , it also had Turbo Lover on it as well .

Welcome back and thank you for doing this reaction to lovebites again, this album is the next level of lovebites, LOVEBITES ROCK
Just Lovebites
🐺🤘🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
LOVEBITES never misses. This band has no Peer.
Highly recommend the song My Orion from their latest album. Very 80s flavoured song.
