My man, I cannot tell you how impressed I am with you and your builds. I found your channel a couple weeks ago and I can’t get enough. I flip houses for a living and it seems impossible to find quality workers with a strong work ethic who take pride in their work, so I end up doing things myself like you. What you are doing is exactly what my dreams are. A beautiful modern tiny home in the forest with a sauna. I couldn’t have designed a better build in a more beautiful place. Congrats on your success! Your videos inspire me to get out and make my dream a reality. Keep up the good work and God bless!
@@devonloerop please keep going. I could see you hitting a million subs one day. Seriously. I am wanting to build a cabin at my farm soon. Milling all the lumber myself. I’ve learned a lot already just from your videos
That's an awesome path and sauna. I wish you could rotate the window 90 degrees. Seems like that would provide a wider view without the center vertical wood piece. Keep up the good work, looks great.
This is just spectacular. But, my husband is often on canes or crutches, and I’m a caregiver for disabled elderly folks: there’s no handicap accessibility? I’m sure you had to decide your priorities as a builder and AirBnB host, and the results are certainly impressive. I sometimes have to choose where my clients might be staying, and having to tell them they can’t stay at a particular place because there isn’t any handicap/wheelchair access is so disheartening. Is it a huge pain to build to those parameters? Probably pricey, too. Thank you for sharing your amazing talent of stick-to-idness tenacity. The result is quite beautiful.
Great video! Thank you very much! We rented a very similar sauna, and I found a few things to improve. There is no drain in the floor and no ventilation, so I found a few touches of mold.
Backround music might be a bit too loud, in comparison to your voice (which is not that loud. Maybe consider wearing a clip on mic.) Great video though!!
Proper Harvia stove from 🇫🇮 Nice to see that you actually throw water on it. Hope you also heat it at least to 180F. And lastly you’re supposed to be naked in there :D
you should invest in gravel around your house just incase u step off the path, also it is impossible to walk quietly on gravel. make sure you research on preventing weeds from growing through
That looks pretty nice. A little spendy but I bet it feels good in there. I think I would have rolled those band connections to the bottom before tightening them up completely.
I'm blown away by the quality! They do actually have the same heater that I got with a wifi link for warming it up remote but I didn't get that one because it's gonna be an airbnb and I don't want to get a million emails from guests that are having troubles connecting to the sauna on WiFi. Plus it just makes for a better guest experience not having to constantly message me.
Loving this series man. Super informative and entertaining. Any particular reason why you chose not to permit this cabin? Keep up the good work brother!
Just a tip, i know it looks ugly but definitely put some grip tape strips on the centre of each of the planks on the walkway. Saves your ass if their wet, as someone could easily slip, but with grip tape it's less likely.
Hey Devon, how many hours did it take you to put it together in total? Also, does the heater have a timer? I’m thinking about getting one of these for my airbnb but concerned guests will leave it on indefinitely 💸
hey sean! You totally should get one, the timer automatically shuts it off in one hour. Plus there's a timer mode where guests can for example go skiing and present it to turn on in 6 hours so they can hop in right when they get home.
Looks nice, but I'm not sure in what world $6,500 is considered "affordable".
Replies to every comment but this one 😂
It’s affordable when it’s free m8 lol
It's affordable when you're a rich kid
It is just another AD, but longer than 10s, actually it's an Ad with ads on it.

@@bryanfulton2481 really appreciate this man! A hard work ethic is rare these days
Sitting in that while its raining outside would be heaven.
Stumbled across your channel at the start of this cabin build and now you’re becoming my new favorite channel to watch!
I'm honored 🙏🏻

Need to take affordable out of the title when it’s $6,500

Not sure if you have already, but you should add some hidden led lighting in the trees so that, that lights up in night 😊

Redwood already has it covered. There's a floor vent, and a vent at the front face! No mold whatsoever and it's made it through WA rainy season!
Backround music might be a bit too loud, in comparison to your voice (which is not that loud. Maybe consider wearing a clip on mic.) Great video though!!
Noted!
It’s probably too late but what if you mounted the big crescent glass windows horizontally so no piece of wood in the middle blocking the view?
Proper Harvia stove from 🇫🇮 Nice to see that you actually throw water on it. Hope you also heat it at least to 180F. And lastly you’re supposed to be naked in there :D
lol you gotta throw water on it
Did you go with the 6K or 8K Harvia?
@@elizabethmeister111 I’d go with 8kw if it is installed in cold climate as it’s not that well insulated and has big windows.
Looking good, would it look better if the band adjustor was at very bottom (ie not visible ?)
Ahh really? I think the hardware looks kinda cool. Adds to the aesthetic
you should invest in gravel around your house just incase u step off the path, also it is impossible to walk quietly on gravel. make sure you research on preventing weeds from growing through
You should buy a wooden window scraper for when the steam gets going
how did you make the rounded / hollowed edges on the wood?
That looks pretty nice. A little spendy but I bet it feels good in there. I think I would have rolled those band connections to the bottom before tightening them up completely.
I thought about it but I kind of like the look of them visible on the side
Where have you been? Can’t wait for the next update videos
working on it! Haven't had time to edit lately. Almost there though.
Need to build a gazebo red cedar car port over the sauna
Super cool! I would probably add something to put dry towels in outside incase its raining while they're using it
Not a bad idea!
Looks great!
The veiw out of the sauna is like Jurassic Park lol.
What size heater did you go with? 8kw or the 6kw?
Well done on this build, I've just found your channel but I'll be watching more.
great Job on the build so far this type of property is a dream of mine also thanks for the inspiration
That was a satisfying project. You are really putting in the sweet equity Devon!
Hoping it pays off and that guests love it!
why not to have the "locks" under the sauna?
What?
looks like a high-quality kit! looks killer with the view.
Question: can you remote start it so its warm inside when you get in?

Where is your property? That property is absolutely gorgeous and the Sauna looks so cozy!
that's so neat.
Nice work man love it planing to build one too

Well done on the sauna and the build! Might even book your airbnb one day, I'm very close to you in Victoria BC!
Awesome! You'll have to swing on down and check it out when it's done
How much did the pathway, steps and deck area for the sauna cost?
When is a knew video coming out
It's out now!
You are so Cool and likable 👍🏽
Question - why didn't you use a wood stove vs. electric? looks like you live near good source of wood?
Fire and airbnb guests don't go well together. 😬
Fantastic series!
But please have the crate loaded correctly onto your trailer next time. You are setting yourself up for disaster sway with this.
Just a tip, i know it looks ugly but definitely put some grip tape strips on the centre of each of the planks on the walkway. Saves your ass if their wet, as someone could easily slip, but with grip tape it's less likely.
that's a good idea, I've even seen some sealers that have sand in them to provide a little extra grip.
dude! Invest in a pop up shelter like they use at the beach or kids outdoor games.
How much was the one you got.?
$6500 and it's so sweet!
🙂 U seem Very Happy

First of all 6500 isn't affordable and buying a kit isn't DIY anymore than buying ikea is👎👎
Certainly not panoramic.. but super cool nonetheless!
Just stumbled onto this guy. he's cute.. and local o3o
New vid?
Soon, big things coming soon! Been nonstop grinding the last 60 days.
Do you really believe buying a sauna kit is he most affordable way to do this?
it's the best bet on quality, ease of install. I'd have to buy so many tools and expensive ovens to truly do it from scratch.
I was needing some advice building one but after only seeing how he loaded his cargo makes me realize this is not worth watching
🤡
Not really a DIY job it's pre-made
Chud
How is $6500 affordable? Terrible title
This isn’t diy if it comes pre built 🙄
This whole video is literally about me building it... 🤨
Pre-cut, not pre-built
not sure why he thinks that view is so amazing. Its like 3 trees right up close lol
Gotta see it in person
I think it’s amazing, and I’m sure a lot of others do too. It’s a view of the inner forest…peaceful, green and private = perfect.
Doesn’t matter the view - it’s less claustrophobic
