What I usually do is expand what is given. So a(x+h)^2 + h = a(x^2 + 2hx + h^2) + h = ax^2 + 2ahx + ah^2 + h Now if they tell you the quadratic equation is 3x^2 + 5x + 1, we can equate the coefficients of the two expressions. a = 3 2ah = 5 (then solve for h) ah^2 + h = 1. It's difficult for me to explain in the reply. You can check my playlist. There should be an example somewhere there.
Hello Mr David I Was Just Looking At Your Video Based On Fuctions And I Came Across A Question But I Am Not Sure If I Have To Cross Multiply. The function of f(x) is 5(x)-4 over 3 and it says to write an expression in terms of x for f inverse of x can you explain please
@@thorockoOfficialfortnite There's no error after you have the 34/3 you have to add the 3..so 34/3+3/1 when you add these fractions you would get the lcm as 3...3 divided by 3 is 1 so you multiply the top by 1..for the second fraction... 3 divided by 1 is 3 so you multiply the top by 3.. the two top numbers would be 34+9=43/3
This is the best tutor online. With him I know I'll surely pass my exam this year♥️♥️♥️
thank you so much, this is very helpful since the last 3 cxc maths paper I did asked to kind the inverse of given functions....
+Petal Archer So if it comes tomorrow you should get it correct.... Good luck
@CSEC Maths can you give me the link to the other video you said you had on functions and relations
Can u do a video on vectors and matrices please
Thank you sir
Hello good day, how did you get 43/3 please? because my calculator is giving me a different figure? Thank you
Im confused shouldn’t 2x+1 be = to 3x at 4:50 in the video?
I'm so not ready 😧
its so long now but how did u do

Hi can you explain how to express quadratic functions in the form a(x+h) squared +h where a, h and K are constants please thanks
What I usually do is expand what is given. So
a(x+h)^2 + h = a(x^2 + 2hx + h^2) + h = ax^2 + 2ahx + ah^2 + h
Now if they tell you the quadratic equation is 3x^2 + 5x + 1, we can equate the coefficients of the two expressions.
a = 3
2ah = 5 (then solve for h)
ah^2 + h = 1.

thank you so so so sos os sossossosoossoossoso much
How you solve to get 43/3

Let y = 5x -4/3
Interchange x and y
x = 5y-4/3
Cross multiply
3x = 5y - 4
5y-4 = 3x
5y = 3x + 4
y = 3x + 4/5
Good
Thank You Thank You Thank You🙏🏽😩
No scene....just share so others can benefit.
Thanks for the video but I thought u were moving a little too fast tho
Raja Graham that's why its a video you can hit pause or replay at any time...
How did you get 43/3? I don’t understand
ah think it supposed to be 34/3...but he put 43 by mistake

How did he get the 34/3
that is the fraction for 14.3....which is what you would've gotten if u had put it in a calculator
thank you
i understand now
+ronaldo reid Great. Good luck tomorrow.
Can you do another explaining functions
F (x) = 2×+1 f(2)=2(2)+1=4+1=5
f(-1)=2(-1)+1=-2+1=-1
How do you get 2x+2?
(6x + 6)/3 = 2x + 2
You are dividing each term by 3, 6x/3 + 6/3 = 2x + 2
